Lord Chapter 655
The Almighty Lord Caspian
Chapter 655 Keeping a Close Watch
âI know. Iâm just rushing them on purpose, so theyâll stay focused and be more efficient,â Caspian said.
âWell, youâre Lord Caspian. Since youâve given the order, Iâm sure they wonât slack off. You donât need to keep calling Laina every few minutes. Youâre only making her more stressed,â Willow chided.
Caspian nodded in agreement.

Back at Churron, Fergus and Lacey were still at the hospital.
It was 10:00 pm when Blake finally regained consciousness.
âMom! Dad! Why canât I see anything out of my right eye? Am I a disabled person now? I donât want to live anymore!â Blake wailed.
âDonât worry, Blake. Weâll find a way to treat your eye,â Lacey promised.
âBut the doctor already said that my eye is too damaged. I canât regain my vision, âBlake wailed again.
âThereâs one way to treat you. We just need to get you an eyeball transplant. Donât worry about this. Weâll find a donor for you,â Lacey assured.
She wasnât going to tell Blake the truth, of course.
âStop trying to lie to me, Mom! Whoâd donate an eyeball? Plus, it has to come from a living donor,â Blake said.
âYou have nothing to worry about, Blake. Your father and I will find a way. Your father has already instructed his people to find the guy who attacked you,â Lacey said.
âThatâs easy, Dad. There are surveillance cameras everywhere, arenât there? You just have to check the footage,â Blake said.
âThatâs right. Iâve gotten people to start looking. Iâm sure weâll be receiving the news soon enough,â Fergus said.
âThere was a high schooler, too. She was wearing a school uniform. Iâm sure you can get to him by tracking her down,â Blake added.
âDonât worry, Blake. Iâll deal with this. Now, tell me the truth. Why did that guy beat you up?â Fergus asked. He had a feeling Uriah didnât tell the whole truth,

Blake answered, âUriah, Scott, and I went to the farmhouse to hang out. We had a few drinks there. When we were driving back, the storm got too heavy, so I couldnât see clearly. We ended up crashing into this motherâdaughter duo.
âOne of the headlights on my Maybach was damaged, so I wanted them to pay for it, but they said they didnât have any money, so I got Uriah and Scott to beat them up.â
âYou were driving under the influence?â Fergus exclaimed in shock.
âI only drank a little bit! I didnât think Iâd run into someone! They were riding a sorryâass bicycle! I couldnât see them,â Blake explained helplessly.
âYouâre right. These peasants riding around on bicycles are such an eyesore. Theyâre ruining our cityâs image,â Fergus said.
âWell, my Maybach got damaged, too, so isnât it normal that I give them a good beating to vent my anger?â Blake continued.
âYes, of course. Since they couldnât pay you, they deserved to be taught a lesson,â Fergus agreed.
âWhat happened after that?â Lacey asked.
âWell, some bastard came rushing up to us and started beating all three of us up!
Naturally, Blake didnât tell the truth. He couldnât possibly say that he only got beaten up because he had tried to rape Cecilia.
âThat bastard! What a lowlife!â Lacey fumed.
âThatâs right! He even said he didnât care that youâre the real estate tycoon, Dad,â Blake added.
âWhat an arrogant bastard. Iâll be humiliated if I donât put him in his place!â Fergus growled.
Just then, a few men came rushing in.
âWeâve found them, Mr. Jessop!â one of the men reported.
âGood. All we need to know is their location. Whoâs the guy?â Fergus asked.
âHis name is Tom Forrest, and he seems to have come from Southlake City. Heâs just an ordinary person. He has a woman with her, Miranda Barton. Heâs been trying to woo her. They both fled to Churron, so the woman with the bicycle took
them in.

âThe womanâs name is Sherry Lynch. She has a daughter named Cecilia Lynch, whoâs studying at Churron High. Sherry rents some farmland where she grows her own fruits and vegetables. She sells them at a market in the city,â the man reported.
âWhat an impudent fool he is!â Fergus growled through gritted teeth.
âItâs childâs play for us to deal with a bunch of peasants like them! No one will care about them. Where are they staying?â Lacey asked.
âTheyâre staying in the suburban area on the northern outskirts of the city. We have their address,â the subordinate replied.
âGood job. You found their location so quickly,â Lacey praised with a smile.
âShould we go and get them now, Mrs. Jessop?â the man asked.
âThereâs no rush. Just keep an eye on them first. Make sure they donât escape,â Lacey instructed.
She had things to prepare beforehand. Before capturing Tom and the others, she needed to find a surgeon she could trust.
That way, Blake could get the surgery done to treat his right eye.
Now was not the right time yet, so it wouldnât be wise to catch them.
âUnderstood, Mrs. Jessop. Rest assured. Weâll keep a close watch on them,â the man declared.
âGet on with it, then,â Lacey said.
Once the men left, Lacey turned to Fergus. âDear, we need to find a good surgeon right awayâone who can perform Blakeâs surgery.â
âIâm on it,â Fergus replied.
Meanwhile, at a shabby house in the suburban area on the northern outskirts of the city, Miranda and Cecilia were tending to Sherryâs injuries.
Tom remained alert as he stood guard at the door, afraid that someone might come hunting them down to get revenge.
The rain had stopped, but the night sky was dark as ever.
None of them knew that a major crisis was upon them.
âItâs getting late, Tom. You should get some rest,â Cecilia said as she went up to

âIâm not sleepy yet. You guys go ahead,â Tom said. He had an unsettling feeling.
Blake came from a powerful background, so Tom knew the former wouldnât be dropping this matter.
Sconer or later, someone would be coming after them, and Tom wanted to be prepared for it.
âTom, are you worried that someone will come after us?â Cecilia asked.
âThatâs right. Itâs better if we keep our guard up,â Tom answered with a nod.
âI still think itâs best if you two leave Churron right away. That way, you wonât have to live in constant fear,â Cecilia suggested.
âWeâll leave once I settle this issue,â Tom responded firmly.
âIf you leave now, we can find a way to save ourselves even if they come after us. After all, youâre the one who hit Blake. They canât do anything to Mom and me,â Cecilia said.
âYouâre being too naive, Cecilia. People like them wonât stop at anything. Theyâll surely find a way to force me to show myself!â Tom said.
