Lord Chapter 652
The Almighty Lord Caspian
Chapter 652 Bending the Truth
âLetâs call for an ambulance before we leave. We donât know how badly injured they are, and itâs pouring right now. Theyâll die if they stay out here until tomorrow!â Sherry said.
âThey deserved what they got. If we get an ambulance to come here, weâll only be exposing ourselves. Who cares if a bunch of punks like them die?â Tom refuted.
âI think Momâs right, Tom. If they die, youâll become a killer. Why donât you go to the authorities instead?
âTheyâll be more lenient on you for turning yourself in. Maybe youâll only get a light punishment,â Cecilia suggested. She knew a thing or two about the law.
âWhat are you saying? Theyâre the ones who knocked into you guys first. Everything I did was to protect you. Thatâs called justifiable defense.
âTheyâre the ones who committed a crime. Why should I turn myself in?â Tom said somewhat exasperatedly.
Why were they making him out to be a killer?
âThis isnât the right place for us to talk about this. Letâs just leave first,â Miranda said.
She knew full well just how troublesome this situation was. It would be better if they left and discussed their next move at length.
âWell, letâs go home first, then. We can take our time to discuss what we can do.â Sherry agreed with a nod..
Tom brought Sherryâs bicycle over.
Even though it got hit by a car, it was still functioning.
Two of them got into the sidecar, and all four of them hurried back home.
Once Tom and the others were gone, Blakeâs two lackeys exhaled in relief and hastily scrambled back on their feet.
âBlake!â they both shouted when they saw the motionless Blake.
Alas, he didnât respond.
âIs Blake dead?â one of the men, Uriah Larkin, exclaimed in a panic.
âThatâs impossible. Blakeâs just knocked out cold. Letâs take him to the hospital now and get his injuries checked,â the other man, Scott Corden, said.

âWhy donât we call the authorities and get them to handle this? Donât they always say itâs important to preserve the crime scene?â Uriah suggested.
âWhy are you being so ridiculous? Why do you want to call the authorities?â Scott snapped.
He never realized how much of a fool Uriah was. Why did he suggest calling the authorities?
âWhat of it? How am I being ridiculous?â Uriah asked in confusion.
âIf the authorities get here, theyâll find out that Blake was driving under the influence. Theyâll also find out we hit someone. You sure you want the authorities to find out the truth?â Scott said.
âDoes that mean weâre just going to let them get away with what they did to
Blake?â Uriah asked.
âBlake comes from a powerful background. Iâm sure he can catch them,â Scott said.
âAlright, then. Weâll just take Blake to the hospital for a checkup,â Uriah conceded.
âWell, donât just stand there! Help me!â Scott said.
The two men hauled Blake into the back seat of his Maybach.
Apart from a broken headlight, the Maybach was fully functioning.
Along the way, Scott instructed Uriah, âCall Mr. Jessop right away and tell him what happened to Blake.â
âGot it. Iâll do it right now,â Uriah replied before making the call.
Fergus had just gotten home when he received the call from Uriah. After seeing who it was, he decided to take the call.
âYes?â Fergus asked.
âI had bad news, Mr. Jessop! Someone beat up Blake, and heâs now unconscious! âUriah reported.
âWhat? Really? Who had the nerve to beat my son up?â Fergus exclaimed in shock.
âWe got into an accident with a motherâdaughter duo. Their bicycle was banged up, and one of the Maybachâs headlights broke, too. We wanted to get them to pay for the damages, but we got into an argumentâ¦â

Uriah dared not tell the whole truth.
âWhat happened next?â Fergus asked.
âA man and a woman appeared. I think theyâre related to the motherâdaughter duo. Anyway, the man started punching Blake.
âWe tried our best to shield Blake, but we got knocked out, too. By the time we woke up, Blake was unconscious and covered in blood,â Uriah said.
Fergus was outraged. âWhat the hell? How dare they lift a finger against Blake?â
âBlake even told them who he was and mentioned you, too, but that bastard ignored him and started punching him!â Uriah told a selective version of the truth.
âSuch arrogance! That punkâs got a death wish!â Fergus was even more furious.
âThatâs right! How dare he disregard you? Heâs far too arrogant!â Uriah agreed.
âHang on. Didnât you say you got knocked out? How do you know what they said, then?â Fergus asked in puzzlement.
Uriah froze. Heâd be screwed if Fergus found out he only pretended to be unconscious.
âI was just barely conscious. I couldnât move, but I could still hear what was happening around me,â Uriah explained.
âWhoâs the guy who hit Blake? Where is he now?â Fergus questioned.
âTheyâve fled. I donât know where they are,â Uriah said.
âYou know what he looks like, right?â Fergus checked.
âOf course! Iâll definitely be able to recognize him if I see him again!â Uriah replied.
âThatâll do. As long as I know what he looks like, Iâll be able to locate him. Are Blakeâs injuries serious?â Fergus asked concernedly.
âBlake is still unconscious. Scott and I are taking him to the hospital right now. Please come over, Mr. Jessop,â Uriah said.
âI got it. Iâm heading over right now,â Fergus said before ending the call.
Lacey Andrews, Fergusâ wife, asked, âWhatâs going on, dear?â
âSomeone just beat Blake up,â Fergus said with a long exhale.
âWhat? What happened? Who had the nerve to do a thing like that?â Lacey asked.

âWe donât know who did it yet, but Uriah said he knows what the guy looks like. Iâll definitely find a way to find that bastard,â Fergus growled.
âWe must find him and teach him a lesson heâll never forget! But howâs Blake doing?â Lacey asked.
âHeâs unconscious. Uriah and Scott are taking him to the hospital. Letâs head over now,â Fergus said.
He had his driver take him and Lacey to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Tom and the others got back to Sherryâs place.
Throughout the ride, Sherry felt a sense of dreadâas if something bad was about to happen.
âIâve got a bad feeling, Tom. You and Miranda need to leave Churron at once,â Sherry said.
