Lord Chapter 613
The Almighty Lord Caspian
Chapter 613 Last Stand
The remaining enemy soldiers could not resist the revitalized Diatoran troops in Southlake City.
Coupled with the support of fighter planes, the enemy troops were being cleaned up left and right.
Sylviaâs and Desmondâs troops each headed for the Archer residence with great morale.
The reinforcements sent by Viktor were already blown into smithereens before they even reached the Hudson residence.
Meanwhile, at the Archer residence, Viktor angrily complained, âRobert, that bastard! Didnât he always boast about how powerful he was? And now heâs dead!â
A senior officer chimed in, âYeah, Robert always claimed that he could defeat Caspian by himself. Turns out he was just overestimating himself!â
Another officer commented, âRobert planned to join us after defeating Caspian. Seems like it wonât be happening now.â
Viktor hurriedly explained, âWe should begin preparing to deal with Caspianâs troops.â
âI think we should call back our reinforcements and set up defenses around the Archer residence while we wait for reinforcements from the International Alliance.â
Viktor ordered, âVery well. Call back our reinforcements! Weâll set up defenses. here!â
The next moment, an intelligence officer ran into the room. âGeneral Obrien! Bad news!â
Viktor frowned at the man and asked, âWhat is it?â
He felt that something bad was coming.
âThe reinforcements we had sent to Robert were completely wiped out by Diatoran fighter planes!â
Viktor was shocked beyond relief upon hearing the news that his men were all annihilated.
âGeneral Obrien!â Another intelligence officer ran into the room.
Viktor impatiently asked, âWhat is it?â

âOur troops stationed on the coastline alongside our Vadesian allies were also wiped out by Diatoran forces!â
Viktor fell into despair. âWhat? How is that possible?â
âThe Diatoran forces are now gathering around us! Weâre in danger!â
Viktor subconsciously swallowed as he started getting nervous.
One of the officers asked, âWhat should we do, General Obrien?â
âHow am I supposed to know? Robert, that bastard! He asked me for
reinforcements, and now heâs gone along with my troops! We donât have much left to defend ourselves! What else can we do?â
One of the strategic officers replied, âPlease calm down, General Obrien. We should think about how to deal with Caspianâs men.â
Viktor angrily replied, âThereâs nothing we can do. We only have 70 thousand men left, while hundreds of thousands of Diatoran troops are closing in on us. We have no chance of winning this.â
It was the first time he had become so frustrated.
âGeneral Obrien, I believe you can come up with a perfect solution with your experience! You must remain calm!â
Viktor shook his head. âWeâre alone in Southlake City. Nob*dy is coming to save Sus.â
âWe should give His Majesty a call and ask for reinforcements from the
International Alliance! They might be able to deal with Diatoran!â
Viktor nodded as he grasped at the last possible straw. âVery well. Get in contact. with His Majesty immediately!â
He began to explain his circumstances after the satellite call was connected. â Your Majesty, our troops are in grave danger. Caspian is currently gathering his men around our location.
âPlease get in contact with the International Alliance and request
reinforcements, or have them convince Diatoran to cease fire!â
âViktor, Iâve already talked to Alexander about it.â
Viktor asked, âWhat did he say?â
âThey want nothing to do with this war. Weâll be dealing with this alone.â

âDidnât Diatoran violate international agreements with their missiles? Is the alliance going to turn a blind eye on this?â
âAlexander claims that Diatoran was only testing their new weapon within their own borders, and itâs not grounds for them to step in.â
Viktor began to panic. âAre they a bunch of idiots? The Diatoran military did that on purpose! We couldâve won if they never used such illegal weapons! The hurricane missiles killed all 700 thousand of our combined troops with Vadesia!â
âI believe the International Alliance is too afraid of Diatoran to make a move and give us any assistance.â
Viktor could only hope that Ted would come to his rescue. âYour Majesty, please send me some reinforcements. Itâll be the only way out for us.â
They may have lost the war with Diatoran, but it would be fine so long as they could make it out alive.
Ted sounded helpless. âViktor, weâre thousands of miles away from Diatoran. Reinforcements will never make it in time. And even if they do make it, theyâll only be killed by the missiles again.â
âWhatâs the meaning of this, Your Majesty? Your men have devoted themselves to fight for you, and youâre leaving us here to die?â
âI have no other choice. I canât afford to risk losing hundreds of thousands more men just to save tens of thousands. I wonât be able to bear the guilt
Viktor was about to lose all hope. âWhat about me?â
âDonât worry. Iâll talk to the King of Diatoran and make sure that youâll all get out alive.â
âI see. Please make haste, Your Majesty.â
âI know. You must hold on until then, Viktor. Astronia canât afford to lose a Champion like you!â
Meanwhile, Caspian, Sylvia, and Desmond had arrived outside of the Archer residence with the rest of their troops.
The entire army had completely surrounded the Archer residence.
A hundred thousand Diatoran troops held a major advantage over the meager ten thousand Astronian troops.

As soon as Viktor hung up the call, he began to hear gunfire coming from outside.
An officer ran in to make a report. âGeneral, Caspianâs men have arrived!â
âStay calm, we must hold on! His Majesty is now attempting for a ceasefire with the King of Diatoran!â
Viktor had no other option but to trust Ted.
He could only trust that Ted would stop the war, or they would all be killed in a matter of minutes.
Viktor realized that he might suffer the same fate as Robert, perhaps even worse.
