Lord Chapter 506
The Almighty Lord Caspian
Chapter 506 Brainless Fools
The Stewarts were gobsmacked to find that Caspian was even more powerful than a senior general.
âHâHow could this be? Caspian ⦠really is a big shot!â Marilyn stammered.
âEveryone knows how useless he is. How could he hold an even higher position than General Anderson?â Alicia exclaimed nervously.
âI canât believe it. I must be seeing things!â Kate cried out. Feeling thunderstruck, she couldnât bring herself to accept what was happening.
Caspian, the sonâinâlaw she had been disparaging all this while, turned out to be an important figure. His true identity had been kept a secret this whole time.
Kate shook her head, thinking that she had merely been mistaken.
However, the onlookers began to mock the Stewarts.
âYou Stewarts are all fools! You mistreated such a powerful sonâinâlaw and even decided to cut off all ties with him! What an idiotic thing to do!â
âJust moments ago, Madam Stewart kept stressing that Willow no longer had any to the Stewart family.â

âHow laughable! Willow is the wife of a fiveâstar general. Do you think she cares about nobodies like the Stewarts? Even if they got on their knees and begged for forgiveness now, she wouldnât bother entertaining them!â
âI wonder how the Stewarts feel now. Iâm sure theyâre drowning in regret. Well, they chose to burn their bridges, so itâs too late to turn things around.â
âThe Stewarts never had any respect for Caspian, but look at the way things are now. Caspianâs even more powerful than they could ever imagine.â
âThe rumors were true, after all. Caspian is indeed no ordinary person. Here we were, thinking they were all lies!â
âWhat do you expect from the Stewarts when an ignorant old womanâs heading the family? Look what happened to the family. I distinctly remember the family having a much more prestigious standing when Madam Stewartâs husband, the late Mr. Stewart, was still alive.â
âI agree with you. The Stewarts have become nothing more than a bunch of pandering clowns. It was their own shortâsightedness that led to their downfall today.â
âIf the Stewarts had maintained a relationship with Willow and treated Caspian better, they couldâve used their connection to him to establish themselves in Southlake City.

âIn fact, they couldâve even become the most powerful family in the city! Alas, what a shame. Theyâve missed out on such a wonderful opportunity!â
âThis would never have happened if the late Mr. Stewart was still around!â
âThis proves that you canât let an ignorant old woman be the head of the family. Sheâd bring the family down with her poor decisions.â
âThatâs right. Kate is also such a fool. Her attitude toward Willow took a turn for the worse just because Southlake Corporation was bombed. She even exposed Willowâs true parentage! Letâs see what sheâs going to do now that she and Willow have completely fallen out.â
âAliciaâs just as much of a fool as the others! She has always had it out for Willow. She keeps thinking sheâs better than Willow in every way when in reality, she canât even hold a candle to
Willow.â
The crowdâs ridicule made the Stewarts feel deeply humiliated, but what they said was true. The Stewarts were indeed sorely regretting their actions now.
They thought they had found a chance to criticize and humiliate Willow, but instead, they were the ones who became a laughingstock.
On the other hand, Willow and Zoey didnât make any comments. The Stewarts were miserable enough as it was. It was never wise to kick someone when they were down.
Unlike the Stewarts, the two women werenât unreasonable people. They thought it would be beneath them to kick someone when they were down.
As for the surrounding onlookers, they were nothing more than sheep. They had all been on the Stewartsâ side when the family ridiculed Willow. But now that they had seen how powerful Caspian was, they swiftly took Willowâs side instead.
Meanwhile, Marilyn was so incensed that she could barely stand straight. She had turned a little pale too.
âCalm down, Grandma! Donât panic just yet. What if Caspianâs just putting on an act? Donât let it get to you,â Richard quickly said.
The surrounding people who heard him were dumbfounded. What kind of a person would jump to that conclusion?
âThereâs no way itâs just an act. Caspian is dressed in a military uniform, and even General Anderson opened the door for him, so how can it be an act?â Marilyn refuted.
âWhen has the Diatoran army ever had a rank thatâs higher than a senior general? Even if someone like that does exist, why donât we know about him? Iâm sure the authorities wouldâve reported such information,â Richard said.

Upon hearing his argument, the Stewarts seemed enlightened.
âThatâs true! In the last few years, there hasnât been any news about the rise of a new important figure in the country,â Nicholas declared.
âIf we did have a general whoâs even more powerful than General Anderson, Iâm sure the government wouldâve made an official announcement about it.
âThe press certainly wouldnât miss out on reporting such important news. Although Caspian is wearing a uniform with five stars on it, that doesnât prove his identity is real. It could really be just an act!â
âYou two brought up some very good points. Also, Caspian has always liked to pretend to be a big shot. He threatened me before and even said the most ruthless things, but I donât think we have to worry about anything. He canât possibly be a powerful figure.â
Marilyn spoke as she nodded in agreement.
âYouâre absolutely right. Caspianâs my sonâinâlaw. I know very well that heâs completely useless. He just likes to brag. He even called himself Lord Caspian once. What a joke!â Kate
declared.
âThatâs right. He likes pretending to be a big shot. First, he called himself Lord Caspian, and now, heâs pretending to be a fiveâstar general,â Alicia chimed in.
âCaspian has always been this way,â Richard added with a sneer. âThe Stewarts are used to it. I donât think you guys need to pay any attention to him. Iâm sure heâs just pretending. How can someone like him be a big shot?â
âEveryone knows that the appointment of highâranking military officers is a major affair,â Donald piped up.
âThe government will definitely make an announcement each time they appoint one, but we have never heard of anyone being appointed for a position thatâs even higher than a general officer, right?
âCaspianâs definitely putting on an act! Heâs just pretending to be a big shot to make himself feel good. Who knows? He might even pretend to be the King of Diatoran someday!â
The onlookers were stupefied. They couldnât believe that the Stewarts genuinely suspected Caspian of putting on an act. Who would dare to pretend to be someone even more powerful than a senior general?
Unable to bear with it anymore, they immediately started making stinging remarks about the Stewartâs.
âThere has got to be something wrong with the Stewartsâ brains! The truth is right under their noses, but they refuse to believe that Caspian is someone important!â

âI know, right? Theyâve got to be kidding. Theyâre just lying to themselves. Look at all the tanks! Even General Anderson saluted Caspian. How could he have arranged for such a grand procession if he wasnât a powerful figure?â
âThe Stewart family must be a bunch of fools. Theyâre just saying those things because they canât accept finding out about Caspianâs true identity.â
âRichard and Nicholas are just as foolish. Look at all those military officers surrounding Caspian. How can it be an act? How is it even possible for someone to suspect him?â âTheyâre all brainless. I canât take it anymore. Iâm so fed up with them.â
