Lord Chapter 451
The Almighty Lord Caspian
Chapter 451 Money or His Life
Matteo had heard of Caspian before. His father, Chandler, had said that it was Caspian who killed Alfred, the Kane familyâs senior protector.
Alfred had been the familyâs pillar of strength with his formidable power, and his death dealt a crushing blow to the family.
âIâve been looking for you! Youâve got quite the nerve to come walking to your doom!â Matteo guffawed before scowling ferociously at Caspian.
âGet him, men! Youâre going to die today, Caspian! Men? Come here!â
Matteo kept calling out, but nothing happened. He started feeling uneasy.
âDonât bother yelling. All of your men have been knocked down,â Caspian said coolly.
âThatâs impossible! Youâre lying to me! There are hundreds of them! They couldnât have all died!â Matteo roared in disbelief.
His men were all trained fighters. How could they have been defeated so easily?
Matteo rushed out, only to see the bodies scattered across the yard as soon as he stepped
outside.
The choking stench of blood permeated the air.
Legs giving way, Matteo crumpled to the ground in horror,
Who was Caspian? How could he be this powerful?
These fighters had played a big role in helping the Kanes establish themselves in Enies, but now, they were all gone!
âYou fiend! Youâre a demon! Iâm going to kill you!â Matteo fumed as he stood up and glowered at Caspian.
Grabbing a blade, he lunged at Caspian.
A muffled thump rang out, and Matteo stumbled backward. Sylvia had kicked him away.
âHow dare a useless piece of trash like you try to lay your hands on Caspian?â Sylvia scoffed derisively.
She wouldnât let a guy like Matteo even get close to Caspian.
Slumped on the ground, Matteo was dumbstruck. It felt as if the kick had broken a few of his
ribs.
An armored soldier went over to untie Landon.
âMr. Lynch!â Landon cried out between sobs. âYou came just in time! Any later, and I mightâve diedâ¦â
He really thought he was about to die.

Landon had suffered quite a lot in Enies. He had never been in such dangerous situations. before.
âCut it out,â Caspian snapped. He was annoyed by the sight of the injured Landon crying himself silly.
Landon quickly wiped his tears away.
âYou did well. Iâll ask Willow to give you a raise and a promotion once we return. Youâll be in charge of the southern market!â Caspian said.
âThank you, Mr. Lynch!â Landon exclaimed in joy.
By becoming the person in charge of Southlake Corporationâs operations in the southern market, he would have a brilliant future ahead of him.
âAnd now,
Iâm giving you a chance to take your revenge on him for tormenting you!â Caspian said coldly.
Sylvia kicked the iron whip over to Landon.
Pushing through the pain, Landon picked up the iron whip and glared balefully at Matteo.
Thanks to that bastard, he had been beaten to a pulp.
If Caspian had arrived any later, Landon wouldâve died at the hands of Matteoâs men.
âWhat are you doing? Iâm Matteo Kane, the son of the Kane family! If you even lay a finger on .me, youâre a goner!â
Matteo was filled with fear the moment he saw Landon approaching, but no one was around to help him.
âYou bastard!â Landon shouted as he raised the whip and brought it down hard.
Matteo howled in agony, his face contorting. He didnât expect the whipping to be so painful.
Landon whipped Matteo over and over again, all the while sneering.
âArenât you supposed to be so f**king powerful?
âWerenât you going to beat me to death?
âWell, come on, then! Let me see how youâre going to do it now!â
Landon vented all of his pentâup fury as he gave Matteo a furious lashing. After dozens of
âStop! Please stop! Iâm going to die if you donât!â Matteo begged.
âArenât you the high and mighty son of the Kane family? Why are you begging for mercy like a pathetic loser?â Landon snorted ruthlessly.
Matteo couldnât respond.
Meanwhile, Caspian smirked as he witnessed the scene.
He knew Landon was only acting this way because he had been pushed too far.
All along, Landon had been an upright and decent man. Alas, when someone like that was pushed to the brink, there was no telling what they would do.
All of a sudden, the phone on the couch started ringing.
Caspian picked it up and took the call.
The anxious voice of an older man came through the phone.
âMatteo, how are things going on your end?â
âI assume youâre Chandler Kane?â Caspian remarked.
When Chandler heard a voice that didnât belong to Matteo answering him, he got a bad feeling.
âWho are you?â
âHave you forgotten about me already, Mr. Kane Senior? You wanted to kill me in the past. This is Caspian Lynch,â Caspian replied in amusement.
âCaspian Lynch? Whereâs my son? What did you do to him?â Chandler shouted. He figured that his son was in danger.
âCalm down, Mr. Kane Senior. Your sonâs still alive, though Iâm not sure how much longer,â Caspian said with a chuckle.
âDad! Help! Save me!â Matteo screamed at the top of his lungs.
âMatteo! Are you alright?â Chandler shouted urgently.
âWhere are you, Dad? Come and save me! Theyâre going to kill me! Argh-â
âWho said you
could speak?â Landon snarled as he whipped Matteo a couple more times.
Matteo clenched his jaw and stayed quiet.
âCaspian, if you dare to continue hurting my son, Iâll kill you!â Chandler roared. He was brimming with rage. Matteo was his only son.
Chandler didnât expect Caspian to act this quickly.

over.â
how, Mr. Kane Senior, but I canât promise heâll live much longer if you donât come
âWhat the hell do you want, Caspian?â Chandler growled.
âMy demand is a simple one. I want the Kane family to withdraw from the business market in Enies. If you do that, your son will be fine. You can choose between your sonâs life and your business in Enies,â Caspian declared with a smile.
âIâ¦
Chandler was at a loss.
He couldnât believe that Caspian was asking him to give up on his business in Enies completely.
A majority of the Kane familyâs resources came from Enies. Without the city as its source of revenue, the familyâs prestige would go down a notch.
Furthermore, Jyn had given clear orders to Chandler. He was to fend off Southlake
Corporation at all costs. He would be doomed if he willingly handed over the business market in Enies.
âDonât even think about it, Caspian! Iâll never withdraw from Enies!â Chandler declared.
âIs that so? That means you donât care about your sonâs life, right?â Caspian said as he gestured at Landon.
Landon got the message and started whipping Matteo once more.
âDad! Save me! I donât want to die! Just hand Enies over to them! Otherwise, Iâm going to die!â Matteo rolled on the ground in pain as the whip repeatedly slashed against his skin.
