Lord Chapter 442
The Almighty Lord Caspian
Chapter 442 Iâm Giving You a Chance
âIâm sorry, but the directorâs away on a business trip. Please come back another day.â
Willow had come all the way to Easton Research Center to obtain a copy of this seasonâs market data. She could start crafting marketing strategies once she got the data.
Still, the receptionist in the lobby wouldnât let her in. Even after she had spent ages trying to convince the receptionist, she was still being dismissed.
Willow wanted to plead again, but she stopped herself. She could see Gunnarâs car outside of the building. Clearly, the director himself didnât want to see her.
âThank you,â Willow said with a forced smile before leaving.
When Caspian saw Willow exit the building, he knew they had come all the way here for nothing.
âHow did it go? Did you manage to get the data?â
âI didnât get to see the director,â Willow dejectedly said as she shook her head.
Willow had no way of making Gunnar see her even though he was clearly in his office.
Caspian wasnât surprised by this turn of events. Sylvia had informed him that Jyn was also in Easton. She was here to stop Southlake Corporation from obtaining data on the latest market
trends.
âItâs alright. Go back to the hotel and rest up. Iâll handle this,â Caspian said to Willow.
âButâ¦â
Willow was at a loss. She would have to return emptyâhanded. What would she do with the product launch now? It would be too late if Morrison Group beat her to the punch.
âHoney, donât you trust me?â Caspian asked Willow with a serious expression.
At the sight of Caspianâs determination, Willow nodded.
Caspian made a phone call after Willow drove off in her car.
âMelvin, Iâm giving you a chance to return to Easton. Itâs up to you whether you want to take it,â Caspian said casually.
Melvin was brimming with anxiety when he received Caspianâs phone call. Caspian had been the one to force him out of Easton in the first place. This even earned the fury of Celestial
Sanctum.
He could have been kicked out even earlier if it hadnât been for his prior history with Celestial

âMr. Lynch, do you mean what you said?â Melvin asked in disbelief. Even he couldnât fathom why Caspian would suddenly contact him.
Still, Melvin didnât dare to question him. He had already seen Caspianâs influence in action. He couldnât afford to step out of line.
âOf course I do. I can even lend you my support and allow Celestial Sanctum to return to Easton as long as you agree,â Caspian said. He couldnât be bothered with idle talk.
âYes, yes, I agree to it!â Melvin replied, overwhelmed with emotion. He definitely wanted to return to Easton. But he didnât dare to say anything rash when Caspian still hadnât finished speaking.
âBut before you return to Easton, youâll have to help me with somethingâ¦â
âNo worries. Iâll make sure that itâs taken care of!â Melvin said, determined.
After Caspian hung up, Melvin was excited.
âGather Celestial Sanctumâs core members. Weâre going back to Easton!â Melvin ordered.
âGot it!â
None of the Celestial Sanctum members dared to dally. They had been waiting for this moment for a long time.
âDo you really mean to let Celestial Sanctum back into Easton?â Sylvia asked, confused. Caspian had kicked them out of Easton, so why would he allow them back now?
Sylvia just couldnât understand it. Caspian could easily obtain the needed market data with a single phone call. Everything would be over then, just like that.
âThereâs more to it, actually. Celestial Sanctum can rein in Morrison Group â¦â
Caspian didnât finish his words.
Eastonâs underworld was currently in a state of chaos. As Caspian had terrorized Celestial Sanctum, they wouldnât dare to step out of line when they returned to the city.
Caspian eyed the research center. The director and the workers here were insignificant in the grand scheme of things. They werenât worth his attention.
Meanwhile, Melvin and over a thousand of Celestial Sanctumâs best members made their way
over to Easton.
Soon, the employees at Easton Research Center were startled by the sound of revving engines. One of them rushed out, only to see a line of cars parked outside the building.
Melvin strolled inside to ask the receptionist, âWhereâs the director?â
The receptionist nearly fainted at the sight.
âOn the 15th floor,â she answered, scared.

Melvin let his men in and went up to the 15th floor.
Meanwhile, Gunnar was enjoying himself in his office. Kneeling between his legs was a woman in revealing clothing. She was his mistress.
âSuck harder!â he urged her.
All of a sudden, there was a loud crash. Gunnar was so startled that he blew his load early.
âWhatâs wrong, darling?â the woman asked as she looked up in confusion.
Gunnarâs expression darkened, and he slapped her.
âStop talking. Keep sucking!â he growled out, displeased.
The woman covered her throbbing face as she crawled backward.
âF*** this shit! Who is this ballsy asshole? How dare you storm into my office?â Gunnar roared.
He wasnât pleased that someone interrupted his pleasure session. He would not let this go. He
would teach them a lesson.
âYouâre Gunnar?â Melvin asked as he approached Gunnar. Dozens of bulky men stood behind
him.
Gunnarâs face went blank, stunned by the sight.
âThatâs me, alright. May I know your name? Could you tell me the reason behind this visit?â Gunnar hastily forced a smile. Judging from the manâs entourage, they werenât here for coffee.
âWhy wonât you sell Southlake Corporation the market data they requested?â Melvin asked
harshly.
If Caspian hadnât instructed him not to kill Gunnar, he would have already gotten his hands
d*rty,
âWellâ¦â
Gunnar froze at the question.
âQuit your hemming and hawing! Do any funny shit, and Iâll chop you into pieces!â Melvin bit out as he pulled out a knife and forced it into the couch nearby.
Gunnar gulped, but this wasnât a decision he could make. He had already promised Jyn that he

âWhat? You donât want to give them the data? Guys, get him! Show him what business means! â Melvin ordered with a cold glint in his eyes.
The members of Celestial Sanctum surged forward to beat Gunnar up.
âStop! Stop! Iâm begging you. Stop!â
Gunnar couldnât fight back. He lay on the ground, whimpering pitifully.
Gunnarâs mistress was terrified out of her wits as she watched this.
Melvin glanced at her. He wasnât in the mood to bother with anyone else.
âAre you going to sell them the data now?â Melvin asked as he stared at Gunnar.
âYes, yes, I will!â Gunnar quickly answered. He was worried that he would die if he didnât
agree.
âFinally, youâve seen reason!â Melvin grinned, pleased. He then led his men out.
Once they had left, Gunnar picked up a USB drive and left his office. If he didnât hurry up, he might die.
