Fix You

William
Sadly, the weekend soon ended. My mom wanted me home before dinner on Sunday, so I had to leave around 4, just after Nick's mom came back home.
I made sure I gave him a huge hug and a kiss before I left, sad that I would have to wait until tomorrow sometime during school to see him.
Once I got home, I instantly went to Lucille, who was in the living room with Gabrielle, pointing at clothing in a beauty magazine.
"Guess what!?" I beam to the two, plopping down beside Lucille onto the couch.
She looks up from the magazine, tilting her head. "Oh, you're back. What's up? How was your weekend?"
"It was amazing!"
Gabrielle and Lucille shared a look, smirks growing on both of their faces. "Are you and Nicholas together?"
I gasped, scowling. "Who told you?!"
Both girls eyes widened in surprise, Lucille squealing in delight. "I knew it, I told you, Gabby!"
"No, I told you!"
I furrow my brows, staring between my sisters, "you knew this would happen?"
Lucille quickly nods, "well, yeah, of course. You were so excited to see him, he's single... It was bound to happen!"
The girls started talking over each other, expressing their excitement and triumphant. I left the living room, heading up the stairs to my own room.
Once I escaped to my room, I darted towards my bathroom, staring at the scale in the corner of the room.
You ate more than an elephant this weekend, might as well check your weight.
I dig my nails into my palms, bracing myself to see the high number on the scale. The fiamilar beep rang through the bathroom.
I swallow thickly, staring down at the numbers. My jaw drops in surprise.
107.2
I lost an entire pound this weekend... I ate so much though, I even ate breakfast this morning since Nicholas insisted.
How could I have lost a whole pound?
Amazing, you're still a fat ass though. Purge dinner, keep starving yourself, you'll get even lower in no time.
Just a bit more and I'll reach 100, that's good, right? I still didn't have a target weight I wanted to hit, but 100 seemed suitable.
Nick- I miss you already :'(
Me- No you don't. You just miss making fun of me.
Nick- WHY EVER WOULD YOU THINK THAT?!
Me- Because that's seriously ALL you ever do...
I continued texting Nicholas until Rose knocked on the door, yelling to me that dinner was ready. Great.
My feet dragged down the steps, staring at the large meal Mom prepared. It was my dad's birthday tomorrow, so my mom prepared monstrous steaks, large baked potatoes, and green beans.
Apparently, they're going on a date tomorrow night to celebrate his birthday, so she's making his birthday dinner tonight.
How the hell am I going to finish this? Purge all of it?
I also knew my mom made a birthday cake that I would be forced to eat. Isn't this just lovely?
It was hard to eat every single thing on my plate, nearly gagging a few times at the thought of how many calories, carbs, and fat was in the food I was consuming.
Just think of all the sugar and carbs in that cake sitting on the counter.
I choked on the bite of buttery potato in my mouth, coughing violently into my napkin, hoping I would be able to spit it out.
"He can't even swallow." Rose commented with a snicker. "Some gay guy you are."
Her words only caused me to choke even more when I tried replying, the food clogging my throat.
My eyes water and my face heated up as I tried to stop choking.
"Rose Alice Newton!" Mom scolds loudly while Lucille patted my back roughly as I tried to cough up my food. "Breath, honey."
Finally, the potato filled my mouth, allowing me to spit it out into my napkin. I quickly inhale a breath, wiping the tears in my eyes.
"Are you okay, what happened?" Mom questioned, pushing my glass of water closer towards me. I quickly gulp some of the liquid down, soothing my scratchy throat.
"Just choked."
Rose smirks at me, "you choked? On what?"
I glare at my younger sister, "potato. Got a problem with that?"
She hums, taking a bite of her own potato, "spitters are quitters."
"Rose!" Mom scolds, smacking her arm. "We are not making inappropriate jokes at the dinner table!"
"Oh, c'mon Mom!" Rose groans, rubbing her arm.
"How do you even know about that? Aren't you like 10?" I mutter, forcing a piece of meat into my mouth. (ha... Sorry I'm a dirty minded teenager XD)
Rose scoffs, "I'm 13!" She returns my glare, taking another bite. "You suck, Will."
"At least I'm good at it."
Liquid squirted on me, followed by Lucille laughing loudly, wiping the water on her lips. "Sorry, Will."
"What is wrong with you guys!" Mom exclaims angrily, throwing a small stack of napkins at me. "We're supposed to be enjoying your dad's birthday dinner! Not making dirty jokes and calling people gay!"
"But Will is gay!" Daisy chimes in, pointing at me with a grin. I open my mouth to shoot something back, but Rose added, "exactly!"
"At least William actually has a boyfriend." Gabrielle snaps back at the twins, continuing to clean up the water Lucille spit out at me.
"Wait, what?" Mom's eyes widened at me, her face softening from the scowl. "You're dating someone, again?"
I quickly take a sip of water, standing from my seat, "dinner was great, Mom. Good night."
"Sit your ass down!" She points at my seat, suddenly interested in me. "You're dating someone?"
My eyes flew to Dad for help, but he just shrugs, sending me a, 'you're on your own, kid' before he scoops more butter onto his potato.
"I guess." I mutter, sending Gabrielle a glare. She just awkwardly laughs, helping Lucille clean. "You just couldn't keep your big mouth shut, could you?"
She sent me an apologizing look before she looks down at her food, shoving some into her mouth.
"You guess?" Mom questions with an eye roll. "It's a yes/no question, William."
"He is." Gabrielle giggles from across the table, quickly continuing to eat when I sent her a, 'shut the fuck up' look.
"You are, hm." Mom studied me for a minute and I quickly gulped. "You should invite them over for dinner soon!"
I quickly shake my head, "no!" She knits her brows in confusion. "I mean, uh, we just started dating, I don't think he's ready for that."
"So you are gay." Rose noted with a toothy grin. I roll my eyes at my younger sister. "You should invite your little boyfriend over!"
Again, I shake my head, "don't encourage it, Rose..."
"Why not, though?" Mom frowns. "We always let Gabrielle and Lucille let their boyfriend's over to meet them properly."
"I... Uh... Nope."
"Are you dating a drug dealer or something? Are they a bad person? Is it your ex?!"
My eyes widened at my mom's assumptions, quickly shaking my head at her words. "What? Of course not! I just don't want him to feel pressure into having dinner here when we just started dating."
The subject dropped and everyone finished up dinner. I threw away the water covered food, grateful Lucille spit all over it.
Escaping to my room again, I quickly call Nicholas, completely forgetting to purge all of my dinner.
"Hey, Wi-"
"Potatoes nearly killed me!" I exclaimed angrily to him, scowling. "How could you love potatoes?"
Nick only laughs at my sudden words, "care to elaborate?"
I begin to explain how dinner went. From choking on potatoes to my mom suggesting he come over for dinner. I was practically ranting, yelling how horrible of an idea it was.
Nicholas just listens, laughing throughout my dinner experience story.
"Dinner with my mom went the same way," he started after I finished. "Well, except for choking on potatoes and dirty jokes."
I hum, "how was it the same, then?"
"She suggested I invited you over for dinner and I had to explain how it was too soon." He replied with a small laugh. "Sorry potatoes betrayed you."
I huff at the thought, "I'm never eating potatoes again." Nicholas let's out a gasp, causing me to giggle. "I kinda miss you."
"I'd miss me too." He remarks with a smile in his voice. I grumble, wishing I could slap the shit out of him. "Wait kinda?"
"Yes, kinda. Not fully. Don't get your hopes up."
"Well, I'm muting myself now and I'm not talking to you ever again." Before I could stop him, there was a beep and the other line was silent.
"Nick!" I groaned, seeing the words muted on my screen. "Why'd you do that..."
I frown at my phone, "okay, I miss you more than just kinda. I miss you fully, okay? Please don't mute me, baby."
My eyes instantly widened at the word that just came out my mouth. What the actual fuck did you just say?
The other line beeped and I soon heard Nicholas's voice, "excuse me, but what did you just call me? I'm older than you. I should be calling you that."
I felt a small rush of relief. "Isn't your birthday in January? Like the 20th?"
"23rd." He corrected, "I'm two weeks older than you. I'm going back to muting you."
"No!" There was a beep and I groan again. "You're mean. I'm breaking up with you."
The other line was silent still, my empty threat not effecting him. "Nicholas, whatever you middle name is, Reeves! Stop muting me. I'm going to tell my mom you're being mean."
"What's she gonna do? Also, I don't have a middle name." Nicholas says into the phone with a giggle before he muted himself again.
I pout, "she's gonna beat you up. And you don't? Ha, you're special." I look around my room for something to entertain me since Nick was an asshole. "Can you please talk to me? I'll stop being mean."
There was silence on the other line before his voice filled it, "you promise?"
"I promise."
