He was genuinely concerned for the safety of his brother-in-law, Han Yu. Whether it was because of his role as the brother-in-law or owing to Han Yu having helped save their family before, Su Hengjing felt obliged to act. Furthermore, for the future considerations of Marquis Beian Mansion, he wanted to meet with Liu Xiu and decide on their next steps.

“That would be great. With cousin taking charge, things are bound to be even more secure,” Su Wenyue said joyfully.
