Chapter 06.

Kai's Pov.

Today is Friday. The day I have my appointment at Evelyns. I put on a pair of boyfriend jeans with a black oversized t shirt. When I arrived at the dental we were welcomed by the lady in the front who is, Nicole. She told myself and Steve to wait and went in the room. As she came out, Evelyn stood at the door behind her.

" Hey Kai! Come in. " She said to which I smiled and followed.

" So, how's it now? " She asked as we both took seats.

" It's not hurting anymore. " I said leaning back to which she smiled and nodded.

She put on her gloves and mask then pulled herself closer to me.

" Before we start, um- so as you know the treatment is on the tooth in the corner of the bottom.. " she spoke in a soft nervous voice.

" Now if I'm gonna numb you, I'll have to inject this in that corner which is quite hard, and if you move.. and it'll hurt. " She said taking a thin syringe in the hand. I looked at her confused not knowing what all this is leading to.

" Would you prefer to undergo the treatment without numbing? " She spoke looking down.

What the actual fuck did I just hear, Steve this is all your fault! Treatment without numbing, that means I'll be feeling everything that she's doing. Oh~ Christ, I'm fucked. I can't say no! She looks nervous, I can't upset her and I can't say yes either. I looked at her her head still low. I sighed and responded.

" Alright. " I said. After all with the job that I'll be taking, this'll be no pain.

" Really, I promise it won't hurt, and by the way who wants to be injected in the mouth, like that's hurtful. " She spoke excitedly.

I smiled at her sudden change and she started doing the treatment.

The machines squealed as they worked, which I hate,but I got this really pretty blonde next me.

I saw her take a needle like thing and got extremely nervous. What the hell is she doing with that?! Just then I felt it. Moving Inside and outside of my root canal. She was filing and shaping the canal. Damn it!

I closed my eyes not wanting her to see that it hurts. I didn't even make a noice.

This is not helping, I must do something.. distract myself.

Just then I felt something touch my head. I opened my eyes and looked up to her. She's patting my head comfortingly.

Evelyn's Pov.

I patted her head softly wanting her to relax. I had to do something to distract her. Without thinking once I told her.

" Ask me something, " I said..

She looked to me confused, as if she's asking me how the hell she's supposed to talk while I'm doing the treatment. I chuckled and looked at her, still looking at me.

" Type it down in your phone, " I said.

" Uh - huh " she said in a muffled voice and pulled out her phone.

She started typing while I went on with the treatment.

" How old are you? " She typed and held her phone up to me.

I'm right, it's working. She's definitely distracted.

" Thirty one. " I said followed by a sigh. The corners of they're lips curled up slightly.

What was that for.

I saw her typing again, but erased it. They stopped and looked as if they're thinking then typed again.

" I'm getting a bike tomorrow. " She held it up for me.

Was that it? No it can't be, that's not something to think that much. What did they type..

I looked at the phone that is still held up.

" Oh~ great! " I said sounding excited, that I exactly wasn't.

They didn't talk again, and my curiosity was killing me. The sound of tools and machines were ringing through the room as I decided to speak again.

" What did you type earlier? The one you erased. " I asked they're eyes opened wider and looked anywhere but me.

Kai's Pov.

Fuck! You such a fool Kai! She saw what I typed- or not.

' are you married? ' was what I typed. What are you in kindergarten or something asking the pretty lady, are you married?. Thoughts played around my mind. What should I say, should I lie? But I want to know.. I took my phone up again and typed.

' so, are you married? ' I held it up to her, avoiding looking at her.

She looked at the phone and then down at me. I was caught in her blue eyes. The light was blinding yet I was getting lost in the comfort in her eyes, it was tempting. The silent was helping this time. I'd die to be lost in her eyes for a life time.

" No. " She said simply almost in a whisper.

My heart jumped in excitement. I felt joy as if I've won a lottery knowing that I have a chance to be with her and I'll do anything for her.

I looked to her lost of words. She giggled and shook her head as she patted my head softly.

I blushed, and hope she didn't see it.

" We're all done. You can get up now. " She spoke, breaking the silence. I nodded and sat up next to her.

It was hard to speak, yet I spoke as she took her mask and gloves off.

" After I get my bike tomorrow I'd like to take you for a ride... " I said earning a smile from her.

" Sure! That'd be great. " She replied.

I nodded slightly, and we both walked out.

( A/n : some incidents in this chapter is true. I underwent a root canal treatment without numbing since the young lady dentist asked me to, and what I mentioned was exactly what she told me. I haven't figured out my sexuality back then, or the fact that I like girls. Though I couldn't say no to her for some reason and I did it for her.
