three steps back
earths cleansing and the beginning of human pets
Tria's P.O.V
My eyes cracked open, I yawned stretching and sitting up, I bumped into someone, momentarily freaking out about the boy lying beside me, I looked around the surprisingly well lit room, memories flooded back into my mind and the boy, Aaron groaned as he to began to wake up, I looked around as I heard the chattering of the giant alien species who had taken us on as pets, looking around I couldn't see any of the three who were around when I had fallen unconscious.
Two of the aliens walked in, my face twisting in confusing, the first one was definitely one of the three I had seen, but the second was a whole different shade of grey, the new alien held a gelatinous pouch, and its small beady eyes met mine, I felt a strange shiver, as if this giant was accusing me of murdering someone, and all of this came from one moment, it scares me that I may never understand all of my own feelings and emotions.
And as I was thinking about my own understanding of myself, the aliens got closer, Aaron tensed up and grumbled, I glanced at him in surprise, his eyes were wide with worry, "humans, the language on your form is correct?" Questioned a robotic voice, I twisted my head back around and looked at new alien, it wore the strange device the orange alien had worn, it looked tiny even on the stumpy ears of the alien, "your language is human English correct?" Asked the alien, slowly I nodded, "good, now both are opposite genders and aged in your planets years as 17 and 19 correct?" Asked the alien the robotic voice letting out a burr sound, "y...yes" I stammered, the alien watched me, was it judging me? "Now as you should know from the preset broadcast that your owners are a peaceful and family oriented species" began the alien, I didn't understand, what preset broadcast, but out of the corner of my eye I saw Aaron nodding, "you were unconscious" stated Aaron simply, "wait... Preset broadcast??" I stated, not knowing what the hell a lot preset broadcast was, "I think they like send in our details to some kind of broadcast station" stated Aaron, he looked different from yesterday, he still looked tired but now he looked plain defeated, before he had had so much hope, "so the broadcast was while you had collapsed, it is likely that your moment of unconsciousness was caused by exhaustion as this is common among the humans who have been taken in" stated the alien, it spoke a few words to the first alien, "listen, I fear for my kind, I would not fear if you were tamed and known for being loyal but you both are new and if given the chance you would bring harm to this family, you may not admit it but if they visited earth to show you how your planet is doing, and given the chance you both would bring harm to them in an attempt to return to your home planet" stated the alien simply, I wanted to say no, but the thought of returning home made me realise I would, and as I glanced at Aaron I saw him slowly nod, "at the very least you both understand, I'm sorry to do this, especially after you just got here but I am trying to convince the family of your threat, their young child will not be safe, and I will not take anything able to threaten the weakness of my people I may just be a 'vet' but I am loyal to my kind" said the alien before turning back to the first alien, I felt a surge of guilt at the sad look in the aliens eyes, but I felt frustration also, Aaron and I both had our lives ruined, these aliens may not be the humanoid disco balls who abducted us but they still had a part in it.
"You look mad" pointed out Aaron Dully, "of course I am... And what's wrong with you, what happened?" I asked confused as to why he had changed so quickly, "I figured there's no point in hoping" said Aaron the sadness in his voice broke the last unbroken piece of my heart, "why are you giving up? Come on I'm sure maybe the next one will be let us go!" I said knowing I was spewing lies, and the look in his eyes said he knew it to, "right because that's what happens in these situations we just say 'let us go' and that's what happens" scoffed Aaron, and I saw it, the faintest hint of a smirk, I huffed and gave him a forced smile, "dad said to stay positive" I mumbled after a few seconds of silence, "is that why..?" Started Aaron "that I'm being irrationally positive? Yes" I Interrupted, I knew that I wanted to cry but at the same time I knew that crying was useless, so I resisted the urge.
I jumped as something touched the cage, it was the first alien, the beady eyes looked sad, but just as soon as it had laid its hand on the cage it lifted the appendage and walked out of the room, the vet watched us, "I already have a new owner waiting, they are from the planet Cruolin and the main species the Sualin's know how to treat and train new pet species, both kind but strict, you will receive further information in your new owners preset broadcast" explained the vet, watching us, scanning for a reaction, but Aaron and I had already accepted this reality, that we will have to deal with aliens, various aliens and we had to accept it, though it felt weirdly uneventful like had we seriously been brought here just to be taken away?
And of course the vet had to look so smug, I could be reading it wrong, but something about the way it held itself spoke of smugness, Aaron gripped my arm, I looked at him and saw the annoyance, "you know what, before when we were brought here we were talking about what animal we would be treated like, but being talked to as if we were stray aggressive dogs adopted from a pound... Just annoys me and I don't know why" grumbled Aaron, " yeah, I feel the same, I think the reason makes sense though" I said in an attempt to help him feel better, it didn't work and he just glared at me, I knew my attitude towards this was annoying to him, but If I didn't stay positive I was afraid I'll feel numb all over again. "Maybe I shouldn't of read so many alien books and abduction stories" I mumbled, after a few tense seconds of twiddling my thumbs, "ha, what are we gunna be probed or impregnated by them" he joked his voice was bitter and so was his laugh, I sighed, "who knows honestly" I breathed, he shook his head "no... I uh... Yea um sorry, I'm not trying to ruin your positivity" Aaron began, but paused as the cage began to get moved terrified I looked at the vet, "get off the bedding" instructed the vet, hesitantly we did as we were told, he messed around with some objects and the cot went to the top of the cage, "sit under it" commanded the vet and so we did, he began pressing the cage down it folding in on itself, soon he had shaped it so that Aaron and I couldn't move and we sat back to back legs up against our chests, with only our given blankets resting on our knees, it was so weird how a cage can be morphed so drastically as well as the cot itself which had broken up into four components, "they won't say goodbye, our kind is bad with that, we fear one goodbye will be forever" stated the vet, it seems that as Aaron and I had spoken the vet had packed up our boxes of stuff, it gave us peaches and cups of water, the boxes sat on top the cage and the vet rolled us out like a shopping trolley, I looked at the world around me as we left the home, the homes, I realized were boulders, or something that looked very similar to earth boulders, the area had pink grass which glimmered in the sunlight, which was the same as earth's which surprised me, I was expecting a double sun or a blue or red sun, but as it was, I was glad of the similarity, the strides of the vet took us quickly along the grass, before pausing in front of a space ship, it took us to an area, tying the cage and boxes to some posts, and so he walked out, the silence was surprisingly nice, despite the situation we were in, but then the engines roared to life and echoed about the room, and the speed of take off left me incredibly dizzy, but thankfully, this time I didn't faint, I looked out the small window I that was facing me and watched as we left the bright coloured planet, it was surprisingly pretty with its big grey boulder like houses dotting the terrain, but soon all I could see was darkness, a few stars and lots of rocks some seemed large enough to be the planets moons, the darkness looked incredible, it was more menacing than TV made it out to be, but at the same time it was peaceful, the ship was moving fast, avoiding space rocks and zipping past planets, how fast are we going? Aren't planets like a long ways apart? I thought as yet another planet passed by.
It must have been about 6 hours before we landed, my leg was cramping and my cup sat empty under my legs, chewing on the peaches pip I was bored of looking out the window, so as we passed around a grey and scorched planet, I ignored it, until we went around it to what looked like a dividing point, between scorched and barren to green and alive, in a straight line, we landed on the divide and I sat waiting, I could hear sounds and chatter from the outside, of course I couldn't understand anything but I wasn't expecting to, soon footsteps echoed around the space ship and into it, the vet towered over a green fluffy alien, it walked on kangaroo like legs and had short arms with... Wow 6 fingers, I don't know why but that was the most interesting part to me, it was fluffy and had a tail with a ball shape at the end, it clicked and chittered to the vet, the vet proceeded to untie the cage and boxes and proceeded to push it outside the ship, the area was impressively perfectly divided, the green alien followed along, we were pushed into a cave, which somehow had lighting with no noticeable means of light, the cave was closed over with a wall, and door, the door was egg shaped and would not have been able to fit the vet who talked to the alien for a few more seconds, the wall opened up as the vet left, and the wall yet again closed, the cave had strange looking furnishings, with everything seeming to be made of rocks and tree bark, what looked like a couch had bark carefully placed over the rocks, the alien was quick to pull the cage back into its normal size and unlocked the cage, it walked away as if to give us free reign, but I didn't know whether to trust this alien or not so I pulled my stiff body onto the lowered cot and flexed my cramped leg, Aaron doing the same. The alien chittered like a bird as we did this, it sounded annoyed, and as I watched it I saw it placing the boxed objects into specific places, "home sweet home" growled Aaron
