If the Deep Sea Forgets You

The other girls that had been supporting her looked at their so-called friend in disbelief at Xia Qingyiâs words.
âYou know very well what Iâm saying.â Xia Qingyi said, âI donât have any reason to hide it for you since things have come to this state. I wanted to remind you to restrain yourself a little when I first saw it. After all, being a third party that wrecks other peopleâs families isnât something that can be resolved by straight denial when itâs found out by others.â
That girlâs face paled at her words, âWhat did you see?â
âNothing much, just something that he had bought for you.â
Xia Qingyi endured the dizziness in her head as she walked in front of her. She leaned in, as she whispered mockingly with her hoarse voice, âRemember to keep it properly next time.â
She ignored that girlâs changing expression as she squatted down to pick up the bottles of medicine that had fallen earlier, before walking past them nonchalantly.
From now on, they were no longer friends.
She was still alone in the end.
Xia Qingyi did not stay in school any longer. She did not know if it was because of both the flu and the drama, but she had no energy left in her body. All she wanted to do was to find a place so that she could sleep properly. She had decided to take out her phone as she walked by the road dizzily. She called her teacher in school, âHello? Hello, teacher, I donât think I can continue taking classes in your class.â
âAh?â the teacher froze.
âItâs either Iâm dropping out of school, or Iâm changing my course. Iâll go and settle the necessary processes tomorrow.â
The teacher still could not understand what had happened as she kept quiet.
âItâs because of a personal reason that I donât want to explain. Iâm sorry for the inconvenience.â
By the time the teacher had finally reacted and was about to ask why, Xia Qingyi was already saying, âThank you, Teacher. Goodbye.â
The teacher had only realized the severity of the situation after the call had ended, and she had thought about what Xia Qingyi had just said. She hurried off to find out what had happened to cause Xia Qingyi to say what she had said.
An hour later, she had found out that Xia Qingyi had fought on the streets with some of the girls in the class after asking the students in the class. She had even heard that they had argued, though she did not know the reason for the argument.
The girl that she had fought with was also weeping and sobbing endlessly, not willing to say anything apart that Xia Qingyi had grabbed and hit her straight away. She did not say the exact reason either as her friends merely stood by her side. They merely shook their heads when the teacher had asked them about what had happened. The most they had said was that it was probably due to a personal grudge when the teacher had questioned them further.
The teacher badly wanted to lose her temper as she was not able to find out exactly what had happened. The main problem now was that no matter who called her, Xia Qingyi could not be contacted and was nowhere to be found. The teacher hurriedly called Mo Han, who was Xia Qingyiâs only contact, as she was worried that something may have happened to her, since Xia Qingyi seemed to be in a bad state.
Mo Han was in a meeting when he received the call from the teacher. He had only noticed the unknown number on his mobile phone after the meeting as his mobile phone had been set to silent mode.
He had originally wanted to ignore it. He then had realized that something might have happened seeing that the unknown number had called his mobile phone more than five times, and he returned the call.
âHello? Can I ask if this is Xia Qingyiâs older brother, Mo Han?â
âYes, I am.â
The teacher said, âMy apologies for disturbing you, Barrister Mo, but something has happened to your younger sister in school. She ran off and we canât find her, which is why Iâve resorted to calling you. Do you happen to know where she is?â
Mo Han had only selectively heard the words that something had happened to Xia Qingyi. His eyebrows furrowed together tightly, âWhat happened to her?â
âSheâd gotten into a fight with someone in school. Sheâd even called me to say that she would drop out from school.â
