Chapter 365 - Yuan Keqing Makes a Decision

“How was Wei Keli going to enter the room?” Tan Mo had just thought of another problem. These days, it was difficult to enter someone else’s room. It wasn’t like in the olden days when someone could pick a lock. If someone wanted to enter a villa at the resort, they would need a keycard.

The more Tan Mo thought about the plan, the more shocked she became.

With so many other options available, Qin Murong had decided on a plan that was pretty old-fashioned.

However, Tan Mo had to admit that Qin Murong was fairly smart to have come up with such a plan. It was something that could catch a person off guard, as no one would have ever predicted such a method.

“Didn’t Qin Muxiao practically drag Qin Muye over to her room?” Wei Zhiqian asked, as he began to explain exactly what these two sisters had had in their minds. “Once Qin Muye gets there, all they have to do is create some sort of commotion and steal her keycard. After that, they can simply say that Wei Keli made a mistake and happened to pick up the wrong card. When he entered the villa to return the card, he would run into you while you were changing. That was pretty much their whole plan.”

“So you invited Keqing over to stand in for me?” Tan Mo asked as she quickly started to understand the situation.

“That was my idea,” Wei Zhiqian replied. “It has always been her fondest dream to be Keli’s boyfriend anyway.”

Tan Mo nodded in agreement.

“You knew about that?” Wei Zhiqian raised his eyebrows questioningly.

“Of course.” Tan Mo had known about that even when she was a little snow fairy. What she had never expected, though, was that Yuan Keqing would continue to make the same choices that had been written in the original story. “She doesn’t even bother to hide it. Only an idiot could miss that. A genius like I am would never be able to miss it, ha, ha.”

“Right, ha, ha, ha. You are the smartest of them all,” Wei Zhiqian quickly laughed also as he complimented her.

“So now I know why you brought Yuan Keqing over. But…does she know why you have brought her over? Or has she been kept in the dark?” Tan Mo felt a little tiny bit bad for her cousin since Wei Zhiqian was using her.

It wasn’t really that Tan Mo was kind-hearted. She truly couldn’t care less what happened to Yuan Keqing.

If Yuan Keqing ever decided to try to sabotage Tan Mo, she would do exactly the same back thing to her cousin.

It was just like the time when Yuan Keqing tried to ruin her high school leaving exam.

That was why when Wei Zhiqian made Yuan Keqing miss taking one of her high school leaving exams, Tan Mo didn’t feel bad for her cousin even a tiny bit.

But it was different this time. Yuan Keqing hadn’t done anything to her now and was being pulled into this mess without knowing a thing about what was going on.

Tan Mo didn’t want to make Yuan Keqing suffer about something when she didn’t deserve it.

If it had been Wei Keli, Qin Murong, and Qin Muxiao’s plan, then they should be the ones to face punishments instead of Yuan Keqing.

“No, don’t worry, she knows about it,” Wei Zhiqian said, knowing what Tan Mo was thinking about. He’d always realized that Tan Mo wasn’t a person who could be blinded by rage. “I actually told her about it and asked her if she wanted this way to deepen her relationship with Wei Keli.”

As Wei Zhiqian explained that, there were hints of pride and ridicule in his eyes.

Naturally, he was proud of Tan Mo for being a decent human being, while at the same time he was mocking Yuan Keqing for her stupidity.

“Well, I don’t even have to ask to know what she chose to do.” Tan Mo sighed.

“It’s pretty obvious, honestly.” Wei Zhiqian nodded.

It was obvious that Wei Keli had agreed to the plan so that Tan Mo could become his.

It wasn’t as if Yuan Keqing would lose her chance to be with Wei Keli if the plan succeeded. As long as Wei Keli and Tan Mo hadn’t become a married couple yet, Yuan Keqing would still have had a chance.

However, this proved that in Wei Keli’s head, he had still chosen Tan Mo over Yuan Keqing.

Even after years of trying her best in every way possible, Yuan Keqing still could not divert Wei Keli’s attention away from Tan Mo, even for a little while. The moment Wei Keli chose to go with the Qin sisters’ plan without any hesitation proved that.

“You know what? Her expression literally turned sour the moment I told her about Wei Keli’s plan.” Wei Zhiqian laughed.

He couldn’t believe that there actually existed a girl who would do anything to date a man like Wei Keli.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

“Doesn’t she still hate you for ruining her high school leaving exams,” Tan Mo asked, thinking that Wei Zhiqian had already shown Yuan Keqing a lot of decency by handling the matter on his own. “Even though she would never dare to go against you and wouldn’t dare to show her hatred toward you, how can she trust what you say to her?”

“She definitely does,” Wei Zhiqian answered with a smile. “Because of you.”

“Because of me?” Tan Mo looked at Wei Zhiqian in confusion. However, a few seconds later, she immediately understood what he meant. “I see. She knew that you would never let me fall into Wei Keli’s hands. You wouldn’t lie to her in this instance because it concerns my future. Even if you would lie to her, you would never do it in my name. I know you would never lie no matter what the circumstances were, but Yuan Keqing doesn’t know that. She’ll be wary of your words, but because I’m the target, it would be hard for her not to believe you.”

Wei Zhiqian turned to look at Tan Mo and was happy that Tan Mo knew him that well.

“Also, even if I wanted to do something negative to her, I have many other ways to do so. Why would I even show myself in front of her?” Wei Zhiqian added. “I was interested to see if she was willing to take the risk. Wouldn’t she do anything to protect herself? Or would she bet on me telling the truth so that she wouldn’t lose the chance to get closer to Wei Keli because of her timidity? Well, she pretty much agreed with my proposal immediately. That’s how I arranged for her to stay in the villa.”

Wei Zhiqian then pointed at the screen with his chin before continuing, “I’ve also arranged for one of my men to pretend to work for Qin Murong. He’ll stop Wei Keli on his way here and tell him there’s been a change of location.”

With Wei Zhiqian around, there was nothing that Tan Mo had to worry about.

There was simply no way that Wei Keli could even get close to her.

Now that everything was explained, Tan Mo could stay by Wei Zhiqian’s side and watch the live recording as if she was watching a TV show.

It was even more interesting than watching most TV shows.

A few minutes later, Tan Mo suddenly got up.

“Where are you going?” Wei Zhiqian asked.

“I need some snacks to go with such an exciting show,” Tan Mo said and headed to the kitchen that was a part of each villa room.

The kitchen had an electric stove, pots, a refrigerator, an oven, and many other things that were needed to cook a meal.

Knowing that they were going to spend the weekend at the resort, Tan Mo had purchased a lot of snacks from the mini-market on her campus.

She had only finished storing the snacks in the kitchen with Qin Muye minutes before Qin Muxiao showed up at the villa.

Tan Mo took a basket and grabbed a few snacks from the cupboard.

She didn’t even have to choose as they were all her favorites.

She then took a peach-flavored soda for herself and a bottle of peach-flavored oolong tea for Wei Zhiqian from the refrigerator.

After making sure she had everything she needed, Tan Mo quickly ran back into the living room. She was afraid that she might miss something interesting from the recording.

Wei Keli was walking toward the villa that Tan Mo was staying in.

He was expecting to get the keycard from one of Qin Murong’s men on his way there.

And just as he had expected, a man stopped him midway. “Mr. Wei.”

“Yes?” Wei Keli was feeling very cautious. Even though he was pretty much certain that the man had been sent by Qin Murong, he didn’t ask for the keycard right away.
