Chapter 21
Return of the Lost Heiress
âYou really know medicine?â There was astonishment in his tone.
Hilda sneered. âDr. Lopez, have you lost your mind? How could this little girl understand medicine? Shemust have heard about the symptoms from a nurse.â
âDr. Gibson, she just arrived. We havenât had a chance to talk to her yet,â the nurse
explained.
Hilda turned. âSo what? How old is she? Barely out of school, right? Does she have a license to treatpatients?â
Without saying a word, Wynter slapped her medical license onto the chair. Not only that, but hermedical license was also at the level of an attending physician!
Anyone who had studied medicine knew how difficult it was to obtain the title of attending physician! Now, who dared to say she wasnât qualified?
Hilda felt embarrassed by this revelation.
Doctors and nurses couldnât believe it. âAn attending physician? In Southdale, thatâs almost at the levelof a professor⦠Sheâs so young. How did she achieve that?â@@novelbin@@
Confronting Hilda, Wynter said, âMove aside.â
Hildaâs face turned pale as she examined the license, questioning its authenticity.
Meanwhile, Ryan had already accompanied Wynter into the ward.
Sergio was also getting ready. Even some nurses who usually avoided crossing Hilda were pitching in.They all wanted to save the patient with every passing moment.
Hilda looked on viciously, realizing that no one had ever embarrassed her like this in the hospitalbefore.
âLet her handle it. I want to see who will cover for her if things go wrong!â Hilda was scheming.
She had listened to Sergioâs words and suspected that the patientâs condition was challenging.
She had her reasons for stepping back.
Poor patients often came with complex issues that didnât yield much profit and carried significant risks.
Since Wynter enjoyed being in the spotlight, she hoped she would mess up and cause trouble
When the patientâs family arrived, it would be quite a show,
As far as she knew, the patientâs family hadnât signed the consent form yet. Wynter wouldnât have achance to turn things around if something went wrong!
âYou all, turn on the video recording equipment in the emergency room.â Hildaâs voice was sarcastic.âBut donât let anything happen, or let our hospital be responsible.â
Due to the special circumstances, this medical treatment had attracted a lot of attention,
In the emergency room, Wynter had donned a medical mask and sterile clothing.
Standing by the patientâs bed, she worked methodically, exuding professionalism.
âDo we have the patientâs chest Xâray?â Wynter asked.
âWe do.â Sergio immediately handed it over.
Wynter took it and said calmly, âLarge lobar pneumonia, accompanied by heart failure.â
âYes!â Sergio nodded.
She opened the medicine box. âReport the patientâs underlying diseases and previous medications.â
âThe patient is 78 years old, with several underlying diseases, including coronary heart disease, hypertension, and urinary tract infections,â Sergio reported. âThe challenge is that the patient is allergicto many antibiotics, so we canât use them recklessly.â
Wynter didnât panic upon hearing this. She just rolled up the patientâs sleeve. âAs expected.â
Sergio was shocked. âThis isâ¦â
âA tick bite,â Wynter said lightly.
The doctors and nurses in the observation room all widened their eyes.
âWe checked for so long and didnât notice this wound.â
âItâs too small to see, right?â
âBut how did she know?â
âIâm not sure, but sheâs amazing. She rolled up the sleeve, confirming the tick bite at a glance. Sheâsimposing!â
