Spirit
The concepts of spirit and soul often overlap, and both are believed to survive bodily death in some religions, and âspiritâ can also have a sense of ghost, i.e. a manifestation of the spirit of a deceased person.
But the truth is, the spirit is a race similar to humans, orcs, and elves, with the only difference, are their form couldnât be seen by naked eyes.
There are spirits of fire, wind, earth, water, ice, thunder, light, and darkness. And each element has its kings and queens. In the great battle with the despicable demons, some spirits join hands with the heroes to eradicate the demonâs threats.

âThisâ¦â
Aegir sized up the burly human with a youthful face figure in front of him that supposed to be his intelligent, strong, and trusted goblin duke friend.
âDo you still going to entrust the position of the king to me?â Oz said with an indifferent look as if he didnât care that heâs been deceiving Aegir and Co for so long.
âActually Renâ¦â
âHours beforeâ
âHey, Aegir! Whereâs Ren?â Fedra asked Aegir looking for the hero of the war.
âYeah, he suddenly vanished from the banquet too, we havenât toast with him yet!â Ibra continued.
âCalm down, heâs busy with his study, heâs reading the book grimoire of death that heâs been saving up to read today, heâll explode if we disturb him when he is reading,â Aegir explained.
âReading? boringâ¦â Fedra said.
âDonât mock people who learn, Fedra,â Gurolf reprimands.
âI donât care, books are only filled with complicated and annoying letters!â
âStop your bickering, while Renâs still busy reading, letâs start our meeting quickly,â Aegir stopped them.
âHm? Is there something you want to discuss related to Ren, Aegir?â Gurolf quickly picked up Aegirâs hidden motives from his words.
âYes, exactly,â
âWhatâs the problem with Ren?â Ibra asked.
âThere is no actual âproblemâ with him, itâs just, I have some suspicion about him,â
âThere are several points that are odd about him, the first is, at my first encounter with him, he is lying on the deep side of the forest with a body soaked with blood, I scan the surroundings, but there is no other corpses founded.â
âIsnât it weird, a goblin duke, lying in the deep side of the forest without any underlings from his group as a bodyguard, from what I observe from him, he doesnât look like the type who overestimates himself.â
âAnd he also said that he lost his memories of his life and his group, and the most strange thing is his wide knowledge of the human lifestyle and defense systems,â Aegir explained.
âAs if-â
âAs if heâs a human itself, huh.â
âIs it what youâve been thinking, Aegir?â Gurolf asked and stares deeply at Aegirâs eyes.
âYes, heâs style, and heâs a way of thinking, are way too different with how the barbaric and stupid goblins supposed to be, well we donât actually deserve to say that though.â
âSo youâre suspecting him as a human?â Brad asked with a serious expression.
âYes, but not really, itâs just, if in the tiniest possibilities, he is actually a human, what will we do to him?â
âWill we still trust him?â
âWill we punish him?â
âWill we make him leave?â
âOr will we kill him?â
The last sentence tensed up the room.
Everyone thinks hard what will they do if what Aegir had just said is true.
âIâll believe him,â Gurolf said with a serious face.
âIf heâs going to harm the tribe, I will do my best to kill him, but heâs not that type of person, and all of us know that. If he does have bad intentions for the tribe, he wonât help our tribe defense and our labors. So even if heâs a human, heâs still Ren, one of our tribe executives.â Gurolf explained, his eyes shone, full of trust for Oz.
âHmph! The magicianâs head had stated his opinion, what could the guardâs head such as myself say?â Ibra said goofily.
âHahahha! Exactly so!â Fedra agreed.
âMy Orcs and I will always believe in our savior, no matter what race he came from!â Magra firmly said.
âNice answer Gurolf, then we will set in stone our decisions, does everyone agreed?â Aegir asked confirmations.
ââYes!!ââ
âThen weâll continue our meeting to the next topic, with the merging of our goblin tribe and the orc clan, what should we call ourselves?â
âWe barely have-â
*Sound of a door opening*
When Aegirâs in the middle of explaining the tribeâs situation, the sound of someone opening a door could be heard.
âItâs must be Ren,â Aegir confidently said.
âGo get him here Aegir, weâre going to need his brain for this topic,â Brad urged Aegir to bring Oz to the meeting.
âOkay then, Iâll go fetch him,â
âââââââââââââââââââ
âSo youâve realized, since when?â Oz asked.
âMy doubts heightened since your eyes shone when we discuss humans and their lifestyle,â
âInteresting..â Oz muttered, remembering the moment where he couldnât help but got interested when Aegir brings up the topic.
He never thought that Aegir would catch that tiny hint from his expression.
âSo, now that you actually knew that Iâm a human, what will you do?â Oz asked and stares at all of the executiveâs eyes.
!!??
Ozâs eyes widen.
Oz thought that what they said about if heâs a human is just a statement states by their inner justice. If they knew that he actually a human, heâs sure that they will resent him and they will hate him for deceiving them all along.
But what he saw shocks him!
What he saw is not the eyes filled with doubts, hate, or even disgust.
Itâs the eyes filled with trust!
Everyone has the expression as if saying âwe knew wether you a goblin or a human, youâre not going to harm usâ.
âWe trust you, Ren. Even if we have a dark past with humans before, but if itâs you, we will continue to trust you who have saved us from critical situations,â
âAnd if weâre going to be a kingdom, we need a king that could unite all the race inside it, and I personally believe that you fit the most, the position of the king!â Aegir said with full confidence.
âBut what about the others, do the other thinks the same-â
âWe do, Ren. All of us do.â Gurolf said with a barely visible smile on his face.
âW-what?â
âYou should be honored, Ren. We donât bow and give our trust to people that easily.â Fedra joined.
âYes, we trust you because we owe you a lot of things at the same time,â Ibra continued.
âMy Orcs and I will always follow our hero!â Magra enthusiastically said.
âWe all believe in you, Ren. No, your majesty,â Aegir said.
âKneel to our king!â Aegir said with a firm voice.
Right after his words, following him kneeling, all of the executives kneels to Oz.
âHail to the king!â
ââHail!!!ââ
âHail the king of Tarot Kingdom!â
