stars, fish, grass

I will eventually stop missing you. Even when I fill my life with other people, I somehow end up feeling more alone. You were my one true home. For a time, I didn't want to move. For a time it was only ever you. You were the stars in the sky and the fish in the sea and the grass beneath the trees, the only one I ever wanted to please. But i have to throw you into the wind and watch as you flow over hills and beaches so effortlessly, only to land again for someone else to find and keep, for the stars in the sky, the fish in the sea and that damn grass beneath the trees...can no longer be my home.
