Hukum Sa's Ligress - ✓
Song dedicated to this chapter - Janam Janam by Arijit Singh.
*****
"Wow, Beautiful is really talented in the game of fashion! Like just look at it , it's so gorgeous yet so comfortable!" Rehmaat murmured while looking at the beautiful outfit that her beautiful sent to her room.
After changing into the outfit she was awestruck at her beautiful's choice. As the outfit was a light lilac sharara with glittering lilac blouse and net shrug over it. It was not only beautiful but also really comfortable, something that just matched her taste.
To complete the look, she also sent white sneakers! Because she knew Rehmaat will feel comfortable in them.
As Rehmaat took the sneakers to wear them. Her eyes widened!
"Ooh no, beautiful doesn't know that I don't know how to tie shoe laces." She muttered while touching the lace of shoes.
"Ummm. I'll find someone downstairs to tie the shoes up." Rehmaat again muttered while wearing the shoes.
With that she went towards the staircase hurriedly.
But to her clumsyness and because of her Untied shoes she lost her balance and was about to fall when her hand got hold of railings, somehow she regained her balance again. Her hand automatically went to her chest where her heart was located and she took a deep breath.
But her breath hitched when she heard a deep voice coming from a few stairs away from her
"Kaur, be careful." And with that sentence the crown prince of Jaipur appeared infront of her. He was coming from downstairs.
Clad in a royal traditional light lilac kurta and pajama's he looked like, like........
The king!.
The only way to describe him, that Rehmaat could think of while taking in his appearance was, what he truly was, The king.
It was first time Rehmaat saw him in traditional and God was he looking like a breathing God.
"Wow, Mr.Singh you are looking so handsome. I have never seen you in traditionals before." Rehmaat complimented him while being geniunely honest.
To her comment, Shivansh's eyes lit up a little before he again remembered why he called her on first place.
"That's not important right now, Kaur, can't you just be more careful. What if you didn't got hold of this railing." He said in a strict tone.
"It's not my mistake Mr.Singh, it's my untied shoes fault." Rehmaat said while gesturing towards her Untied sneakers.
That's when he noticed that her shoe laces were not tied.
"Than why didn't you tie them. You were about to descend these stairs with open laces, did you plan on breaking your bones." He said while getting hold of her one arm.
"I..... I don't know how to tie the shoes." She said in almost non-audible voice. If not for his sharp sense's he would definitely have missed it.
"Than why didn't you took anyone's help. You could have asked someone rather than going downstairs with Untied shoes, it can be really dangerous." His voice turned soft.
"That is your mistake. Because you have forbidden anyone to even come closer to this floor except for Shraddha Aunty and her assistance, so no-one comes to this floor ever. Even Shraddha Aunty comes in morning to clean this place before you wake up which is before 4-A.M as you wake up till 4." Rehmaat said with a cute frown adoring her face.
"And by the way from where are you coming Mr.Singh?" Rehmaat again asked.
"Had to do a Pooja alongside Dadi Sa , so went with Dadi Sa that's why I am dressed in traditional's." He answered her asked and unasked Question together.
"Ooh, so that means you will change into something else for the engagement?" Rehmaat quipped.
"Yes." As he said the word he suddenly left her arm, which he was holding since the start and took a step back.
And slowly got on his knee!
"Mr.Singh what are you doing?" Rehmaat tried to take a step back with a horrified look on her face.
But before she could move, Hukum got hold of her left feet!
" Making sure that you are safe." He said while tying the laces.
Rehmaat stood frozen on her spot, not understanding a thing.
"You actually wore these today." As he finished tying the knots.
His hands slowly touched the beautiful pair of Anklets that he gifted her.
A shiver ran past her spine as while touching those anklets his hands brushed against her flesh, just above her ankle.
"Rehmaat, today there will be a little ball dance as per Royal Protocol. I want you to give your first dance to me." He rasped in his deep husky voice while standing up.
"I..... I don't know how to dance." Rehmaat shuttered for the first time in her life.
"Well I have seen you dancing. Mirror..... Remember?" He teased her a little.
"Ummm I mean I don't know anything about this couple dance or, or ball dance. As I have never done it before." Rehmaat said as her cheeks grew hot.
"Than it will be an true honour for me, to be your first." His voice turned darker as he uttered these words.
And with that he decided to walk away from there.
"Shiv!" Rehmaat breathed.
Now it was his turn to freeze up.
"Shiv, I will give my first ever dance to you." Saying this she literally ran from there, before he could say anything.
"Ansh!" As he was still recovering from the "shock", he heard his grandma's soothing voice and turned to where she was standing. From quiet some time!
She had a warm smile on her face as she witnessed everything from starting without being noticed as both of the other people present there were too occupied to notice any other thing or even person.
"You remember your Dada Hukum always said that a true king never bow's down infront of anyone other than..." She didn't completed her sentence.
"His Queen!" He completed her sentence.
"So?" She raised her eyebrow.
"She'll be my Queen." The Passionate sincerity in his eyes conveyed a silent promise. And Raghuvanshi's never breaked their promises, not even for thier life!
"I don't know about love, but I respect and trust her, and I like her, a lot. I want her to be my partner." As He completed his sentence he took something out of his pocket and kept it on his Grandma's hand.
The Queen mother of Jaipur slowly opened the box and a small gasp left her mouth as she looked at the beauty present inside the box.
"Blue is her favorite colour." He muttered as his Dadi Sa looked at the ring present inside the box.
It was a beautiful tanzanite Gemstone ring with round brilliant cut and platinum band. The rarest and most expensive gemstone was sitting proudly in the middle!
"My little King has finally found his Queen." She kissed his forehead while her eyes had a few drops of unshed tears in them. She returned the ring box back to him before saying.
"I know you want your ring on her ring finger as soon as possible, but firstly let me give her something special and let the elders talk to her family ok Ansh." She caressed his cheeks before leaving from there with utmost grace. While the crown prince departed to his chambers to change his clothes.
***********
"My,my, you are looking absolutely gorgeous my Laddu Gopal." The Queen of Jaipur praised the beautiful girl infront of her.
While putting the naturally curly hair of hers into more tamed and proper curls with the help of a curler.
"Well but something is missing." Both turned towards the voice of the previous Queen of Jaipur.
While all the other makeup artist's got out of the room as The Queen signalled them to go, who were sitting there silently as after getting Rani Sa ready for the big day, they were suppose to get Rehmaat ready who refused to let them do anything with her face and hair as she didn't liked these things, after a lot of convincing she finally accepted but only if the Queen herself will get her ready in a simple way!
"Don't you think Diya with just these lilac pearl studs in her ears and that pair of anklet in her ankles, her arms and hands are looking bare?" The Rajmata of Jaipur said while gently placing the box on the dressing table after taking something out of it. Which was rapped in a red cloth.
She slowly removed the cover to reveal magnificent Gold bangles. With two lioness's facing eachother the bangles were really heavy and gave of ancient Vibes!
"No... D.J they are too expensive I can't accept them!" Rehmaat refused instantly.
"Someone was telling me yesterday that the price of the gift doesn't matter, the person who's giving it does." The Rajmata of Jaipur said sternly.
"I am going to Pashuram Mahadev Pali temple today, as it's My Rana Ji's death anniversary, that's why I along with Ansh did the Pooja earlier to give my blessings to the Viraj and Manavi as I'll be not attending there engagement ceremony." She paused before continuing.
"You are going to your home today only and I will be going to the temple in few minutes and will be coming back after a week as after going to the temple I will going to my mother's place, to do a Shiv puja there. That's why it's our last meeting Lado." She said while caressing her face.
"And these are Rajputi Kangan, they have been in our family for generations! Today I want you to wear them. If you want to return them, than do it by evening but atleast for this day wear them." The Queen of Jaipur suggested.
"But isn't it Manavi's right to wear them?" Rehmaat asked hesitantly.
"Manavi has got her share yesterday evening itself Lado these ones were meant for your hands, see they have perfectly fitted your hands." The Rajmata said while making her wear the bangles.
While Rehmaat just stared at her hands which were now adorned with the Bangles.
Suddenly it clicked her that the Kangan's has exact same design as the Secret door's handle in Jaigarh had!
**********
"My little princess has grown so much today." The king of Jaipur kissed his daughter's forhead as the ring ceremony between Viraj and Manavi took place both exchanged rings as the guests from all the elite groups, from movie stars to other Royals from around the world, clapped for the couple.
"Cheers to the couple." The man who was appointed as the host cheered for Manavi and Viraj while all the guests repeated after him with a glass of champagne in there hands.
"So ladies and gentlemen, as you all know according to the Royal protocal that has been followed since the British Era in India, we all will share a couple ball dance along with our respective dance partner's." The party host said with enthusiasm while the audience replied with the most graceful nods ever. Rich people you see.
"But today there is a twist to the story!" The host paused before continuing.
"Today a really special request has been made by someone, to give a special performance for the lovely couple in the form of a song, so let's enjoy that first." With that the host left the stage while the hall of the Jal Mahal was dimmed!
Yes the engagement party was taking place away from the city palace, on the request of the princess her self as she wanted her engagement to happen in the Jal Mahal of Jaipur.
Two people came to the stage to set a chair in the middle of the stage and put two mikes there before leaving.
While a shadowy figure approached the stage with a guitar.
After settling down on the chair in the middle of the stage that person got seated on the chair and adjusted the mikes, one where that person's guitar was and another infront of there face while the spotlight settled on the person as she pulled the guitar string. Rehmaat was sitting infront of the people!
As the spotlight revealed her face,a certain pair of eyes was left mesmerised. His eyes were struck on her face.
" Ho ho o...
Heer Heer na akho adiyo
Main te Sahiban hoi
Ghodi leke aave le jaaye
Ghodi leke aave le jaaye."
(Don't call me Heer (who loved someone else but was forced to marry someone else) instead call me Sahiba whose lover came as a groom and took her as his bride!)
"Ho mainu le jaaye Mirza koi
Le jaaye Mirza koi
Le jaaye Mirza koi..."
( I want my lover to come as my groom and take me as his bride, not only lover but make me his wife.)
"Ohde je hi main te oh Mirza mere varga haaye
Ohde je hi main te oh Mirza mere varga"
(My lover is just like me, we both are the internal part of eachother.)
"Heer Heer na akho adiyo
Main te Sahiban hoi
Ghodi leke aave le jaaye
Ghodi leke aaye le jaaye
Oh ho..."
(Don't call me Heer (who loved someone else but was forced to marry someone else) instead call me Sahiba whose lover came as a groom and took her as his bride!)
As she completed the gorgeous song the sounds of loud clappings echoed the hall.
Her eyes were closed throughout the song but as the song finished, her eyes opened and automatically went towards his eyes who smiled at her as they shared a brief eye contact before he looked towards his lap.
But as he again decided to look towards her,His smile disappeared.
As She got down from the stage a new man from the audience approached Rehmaat, Hukum's eyes darkened.
"Hey I must say that you are one talented girl. You know blessed with Beauty as well as talent." He tried flirting with her.
"Will you mind to dancing with me?" The stranger asked her.
But before she could give a reply, a strong arm encircled her waist from behind and her breath hitched as she realised who it was.
While the man's eyes widened slightly realising that Hukum Sa just marked his territory infront of him. And he backed off not wanting to mess with Hukum.
"Shiv." Rehmaat breathed.
"Hmmm." Hukum hummed.
"Everyone is looking." Rehmaat Muttered while feeling self conscious as everyone present in the hall was looking at them. Some in jealousy, some in Envy but most in shock.
As for the first time they were seeing Hukum close to a woman other than his mother, sister or grandma.
"Good, I want everyone to see." He replied boldly which shocked Rehmaat.
"But.."
"Shhh. Let's go for the dance first, remember you promised your first dance to me?" He asked, to which she just nodded.
Both were so immersed in eachother's eyes that they didn't noticed others gwaking at them.
The world famous Romantic track Janam Janam by Arijit Singh was playing in the background. As all the couples shared a dance among themselves.
"Shiv what's your favourite colour?" She asked only to get the reply of
"Red"
"Mine is..." But before she could complete her he intervened
"Blue, all of the shades of blue but dark blue's being your favourite. I remember you told me during the car ride once." He completed his sentence with sincerity.
With that no-one spoke any word. Both just cherished there time together.
After the song ended Rehmaat just rested her head on his shoulder for a min. While his head was resting upon hers.
The sound of clapping and hooting brought them back, then they realised that, Viraj-Manavi, Rana sa- Rani Sa and they themselves were the only people left on the stage that was set in the middle, Others had departed.
Like that 3-4 hours went by and it was 9 P.M. already.
Everyone was enjoying themselves but what all didn't notice was 3 people departing from there through different directions.
********
"Partner, why are you looking upset?" Sardar Dilsher singh Brar asked his Granddaughter who was looking upset through video call.
After changing into her Regular Pajama's and t-shirt Rehmaat was packing her stuff hurriedly while video calling her Grandfather.
"You always said that whenever I feel like I am in love, you will support me, right partner?" Rehmaat asked and her words were enough for her partner to standup from shock.
"Yes,I always will." His reply held sincerity.
"I love him. I .... I love Shivansh Singh Raghuvanshi." She shuttered as if not believing her own self.
"You told me that you can't explain what your Chandji is for you right. Same I can't explain what Shiv is for me." Rehmaat had a tear in her left eye.
"Does he, does he love you back?" He asked her.
"Partner, you are getting aged it seems!" Rehmaat quickly wiped her tear and laughed.
"Age.... Your father must be the one who is getting aged not me." He scoffed sarcastically.
"Ohh than why did you forgot the thing that you yourself taught me?" Rehmaat asked.
"Don't talk in riddles with me partner. Tell me clearly what are you talking about?" He asked in a no nonsense tone.
"Ok, you were the one who always used to recite you favourite Sufi poet Bulle Shah's poetry right. Now you yourself are forgetting the meaning of it." Rehmaat paused before continuing.
"Kehnde Zehr vekh ke pita, te ki pita.
Ishq vekh ke kitta, te ki kitta.
Dil de ke, dil len di aass rakhi ve bulleya.
Pyar v lalach naal kitta te ki kitta." Rehmaat paused before continuing.
" You always recited this poetry Partner but I got to know it's true meaning today!
You took poison, But first checked it was poison, What a shame!
The brave one's kill themselves in a spur of moment, not in a studied way.
You loved someone, but loved them just for there outer beauty, what a shame!
When true lovers fall in love they don't care about body or face.
You gave your heart to someone, Than hope to get there's back in return, be ashamed! As it is no love just greed.
Bulle shah says the truth here! And I know this because I am in love. I am in love." After listening to the exact same wording from his granddaughter's mouth that he himself said years ago when he fell in love, he knew his little girl has finally fell in love. True love!
"Did you told anyone that you are coming now!" He suddenly said.
"I told them that I am coming today but I haven't told anyone here before leaving the engagement party mid way because I knew if I'll tell them they will insist me to stay and I won't be able to say no." Rehmaat said casually.
"Than don't come." He said with determined tone.
"What?" Rehmaat was shocked.
"Yes Don't come. Not before telling him about your feelings atleast. I don't want you to have any sort of regrets later my child. Just tell him about your feelings and leave everything else upon your G.P ok?" He motivated her.
"Ok." And with that Rehmaat ended the call with a determination to confess.
As She was thinking about her conversation with her partner, she heard a commotion outside her room. Somewhere on the floor.
That made her tensed as no one was allowed to be on the floor. Specially when Her Shiv was not there.
So she decided to see what's going on outside.
But as soon as the staircase came in her line of vision, her blood ran cold and her throat went dry!
