Chapter 66 – Mother Ye Apologizes (叶母认错)

Regarding Jiang Xia’s character, Jing Yunzhao really admits defeat.

It would’ve been okay if Jiang Xia was really doing all of this on purpose, but he was born as such an arrogant and self-righteous person. He didn’t realize just how improper his words were nor did he realize what kind of trouble they would bring. He spoke what a scheming bitch would say as if he was skilled and thinks that others wouldn’t understand his true meaning.

In her past life, Jing Yunzhao was only familiar with Jiang Xia many years after high school. By then, Jiang Xia had already gone through some maturity. His words weren’t as disgusting as they are right now but they still had hints of his true colors. Especially when she had fights with Qiao Hongye, his true nature would become more obvious.

Jiang Xia was pretty good-looking. He didn’t have close relationships with others. When other students see him, he was usually seen either playing basketball with high spirits or doing class duties. No one would have thought that he was actually someone that would speak without filters.

Jiang Xia might appear to be sharp-tongued but was not malicious, but he had nothing wrong with his IQ. The person Jing Yunzhao was talking about was naturally himself.

“Jing Yunzhao, who are you talking about?!” He couldn’t hold it and opened his mouth to scold.

Jing Yunzhao sco?ed coldly, “Aren’t you very clear of that yourself?”

“How can you be like this...” Jiang Xia instantly became upset. Just when he wanted to continue, a ruckus came from the patient room.

The crowd looked up and only saw a pair of husband and wife and Teach Jin. That pair of husband and wife looked a bit familiar. Jiang Xia swallowed the words he had wanted to say. His eyes were wide open. “Uncle Ye, Aunty Ye? Why are you dressed like that?”

The people who had come were indeed Ye Qing’s parents.

Father Ye was wearing a wrinkled suit. He looked like he was down in luck; he had a smell of cigarettes on him, his facial hair was stubby, and his hair was oily. Mother Ye didn’t look as fresh and bright as before. She was wearing a supermarket worker’s uniform.

The second semester of high school had just begun. Students had only known each other for half a year. Even though they knew that Ye Qing’s family was doing well, they didn’t know what her parents’ occupations were. Jiang Xia was the exception.

Ye Qing had told Jiang Xia before that her father was a business owner and her mother was a full-time housewife. They were doing very well money-wise.

He had only seen Ye Qing’s parents twice before. Her parents were driving a car worth over a million yuan back then and her father looked like he was successful in his business. Her mother also looked elegant. They looked di?erent from all the other parents.

But now, why are they di?erent from his memory?

Jiang Xia’s “naive” question made the Ye parents awkward.

“You must be Yang ge (older brother) and Yang sao (wife of older brother), right? We are really sorry! I am Ye Qing’s mother. Teacher Jing contacted us earlier. My daughter really is insensible and made your daughter su?er!” Mother Ye hurriedly place a basket of fruits beside the bed and bowed while saying this.

Father Yang turned away from her. Mother Yang’s face still didn’t look good.

“We can’t dare to accept your gift. My child has been injured for so many hours, and yet your Ye Qing has yet to show her face once!” Father Yang said coldly.

It was only a dispute between kids. They weren’t unreasonable people. If nothing bad happens to their daughter and if the other party’s attitude was good enough, they wouldn’t mind settling this matter peacefully. Yet, Ye Qing was nowhere to be seen!

Ye Qing’s father was a little sti? but he didn’t say anything. Mother Ye continued to apologize: “My child really is insensible. She’s probably frightened. She hasn’t come home yet. I’m sorry for being unable to bring her here and apologize to you. It’s all because I didn’t teach her well. I’m sorry! I’m sorry!”
