Looking at her serene face is making my body ooze up with a weird but comforting warmth. I feel my heart full to the brim with tranquility.

"Yes and we are in trouble the Russian troops have friendly connections with neighbouring islands. There troops are surrounding us. It's impossible for you to fly out of here with kuhu. They might even attack the Island."

I pick my stash full of cigar and pull one out. Placing it between my lips, I lit it. Soon the familiar smoke fills up my mouth and it's nicotinic effect soothes my brain.

"Now use your brain. Their leader will be here with me on this island. With him here, do you really think that they will be taking the risk of attacking the island?"

"And once I have Xavier here, there is no one that can stop me from flying out with kuhu. As soon as he puts his feet on this land, his reign ends and mine starts."

I take a big puff and blow the smoke out colluding the air and making it hazy.

I look at the baffled angleo sitting across me.

"What happened cat caught your tongue?"

I ask him

"But Xavier is cunning. He must know this too then why is he agreeing to come here. It is jeopardizing his entire strategy which he worked for."

Angleo asks the million dollar question.

I close my eyes and feel myself grinning at the question put forth by him.

I look at angleo, a troubled expression on his face. He looks deep in thought.

I ask him

I pause pondering on his question and then reply him.

A moment of silence passes

"I would do even worse. I am ready to even beg him if it means that I'll get a glimpse of kuhu. I am way too gone to be sane now."

I tell him the truth and he just sits there contemplating my answer.

The silence that follows my answer is haunting. Both of us stay quiet contemplating on the situation before us.

Just then a knock interrupts the stillness of the room.

Soon after a voice is heard

"Capo, they are here."

I need to get kuhu.

I open the door to her room. Her bed is made up. The sheets placed neatly. I cast my eyes on the clock hanging on the wall seeing it's past 12 am.

Of course she is up.

She hastily opens the door from which the voice of the baby was coming from and enters swiftly in.

I enter the room after her and see Xavier sitting on the couch holding a baby in his arms.

He looks troubled as he tries to soothe the baby. But as soon as we enter his attention shifts on us.

His eyes move from kuhu to me and then back to her. A look of relief on his face upon seeing her.

But kuhu on the other hand looks heartbroken. She walks up to him and quickly takes the baby in her arms, without sparing anyone else a glance.

She says and I see the tears falling from her eyes.

She kisses the baby on his head and starts to pat him. The baby's crying ceases at once as he now clungs to kuhu.

She says finally acknowledging his presence.

"How have you been?"

He asks as he move towards her.

He stands in front of her and cups her cheek.

She replies her voice cracking.

I immediately stand besides her. I agree this is a family reunion but he is getting too much touchy for my liking.

I get up from my seat and yell.
