Chapter 390 - Do You Like Me So Much?

Whether it was because of the violent scenes from the previous day or due to the pregnancy, Shangguan Ning experienced extreme morning sickness after she woke up.

She felt as if she would faint due to such a bad sickness bout.

Jing Yichen held onto her tightly and said nervously, “Ning, how are you feeling? Let’s go to the hospital.”

Shangguan Ning shook her head and said, “It is fine, I will be okay after some rest. It is just morning sickness, don’t worry.”

Jing Yichen was, of course, worried. He used a wet towel and wiped Shangguan Ning’s face gently. Then he carried her to the bedroom and poured a cup of warm water for her.

Shangguan Ning felt better after leaning against the pillow and drank some water.

“You were fine a month ago. What is going on now? Is it because of yesterday?”

Jing Yichen’s heart was hurting when he saw Shangguan Ning’s pale face. He sounded guilty and angry.

“It was indeed a shocking experience yesterday, but don’t worry, I am not that easily scared.”

Shangguan Ning leaned into Jing Yichen’s arms and breathed in his familiar scent. It gave her a sense of assurance, making her feel infinitely better. Even her nausea seemed to abate at that moment.

Jing Yichen gathered her closer into his arms. He could see colour return to her pale face. As long as Shangguan Ning felt better, he would do anything.

After Shangguan Ning had gotten pregnant, Jing Yichen read many books on pregnancy. He knew that during pregnancy, she might experience emotional ups and downs and that she might even feel dependent and scared.

Shangguan Ning had not yet felt such a thing. She had always been in a good, steady state. She didn’t throw a tantrum for no reason. But the fact that she was depending on him today was probably because of what she had experienced the day before.

Jing Yichen could feel the frost in his heart. He wanted to tear apart Tang Yun and Shangguan Rouxue and kill Yang Muyan who was behind all this. He swore to himself that these people would not live for long.

A while later, Shangguan Ning felt much better. She spoke in a soft voice, “I think that it was just morning sickness. Everything is fine now. I had thought that our baby was obedient but seems that it is not.”

Jing Yichen felt that she might be right, but he still didn’t feel assured. He held her chin and said bossily, “Whatever the reason may be, we have to go to the hospital today. It is non-negotiable.”

He had read some medical books claiming that pregnant women tended to feel dizzy, tired, sleepy and experience lack of appetite, morning sickness etc. This often happened in the morning without any intake of food.

Shangguan ning had been pregnant for around six weeks now, so it was normal that such a thing happened. But he still felt that it would be safer to get checked at the hospital once.

Jing Yichen had no experience in taking care of pregnant women. He was learning everything from books and websites. So he dare not make a judgment so easily. But he didn’t think that Shangguan Ning should keep vomiting in this way. She should at least eat something.

Shangguan Ning felt herself losing strength. She didn’t even want to go till the dining room.

“Baby, you need to eat something, or you and the child will run out of nutrients.” Jing Yichen pampered her. “Tell me whatever that you want to eat? I can ask Du to make for you or Tiger to buy it.”

Shangguan Ning had no appetite at all, although she was quite pleased being spoiled by Jing Yichen.

“I just want to lie here. I don’t want to move or eat anything...”

Shangguan Ning said in an indulgent way as she played Jing Yichen’s shirt’s buttons.

She barely acted in such a way, because she found it embarrassing. But today it seemed to come to her naturally.

Was it that she was feeling younger because of the pregnancy?

“Baby, just lie down here. I will bring the food here, hang on.”

Jing Yichen would allow Shangguan Ning to do anything, but will not compromise over food.

Jing Yichen burst into laughter. He said in his sexy voice, “Do you like me so much? You don’t even want me to be away from you for even one second?”

His smile made him look exceptionally handsome against the sunlight, this morning.

Shangguan Ning was startled looking at him. She felt that there was no one in the entire world who was better looking than Jing Yichen.

She was lost in staring at him and mumbled. “I like you, and I want to be with you forever.”

Jing Yichen chuckled at the sight of her. He felt very proud seeing that his wife was obsessed with him.

He looked down and kissed Shangguan Ning’s eyebrows and eyes, her pretty nose and her red cherry lips.
