Chapter 159: Only One For Her
Married To My Billionaire Stepbrother
Despite the headache pounding in her temples, Natalie allowed herself to relax in the soothing warmth of the bath. Even as peace settled over her, her thoughts kept circling back to revenge.
After her bath, Natalie dressed in the clothes left for herâa shirt and trousers, just her style, though she knew they were expensive.
When she stepped out of the bathroom, Justin was no longer in the bedroom. She went to the drawing room and found him talking quietly with Noah as the two watched the news.
The headlines flashed across the screen:
Natalieâs gaze flicked to Justin. His dark, intense stare was locked on the TV, and she knew immediately that this was his doingâhis revenge for what had happened to her the night before.
Wearing that high neck, full sleeved black stylish T-shirt, paired with the light grey trousers, the look she was seeing him in for the first time, she could not deny he was looking incredibly handsome.
He turned to look at her and she immediately focussed her attention on the news.
It was the top story of the day, sending shockwaves through the business world. News anchors speculated wildly, raising all kinds of questions:
As the segment ended, Noah turned and gave Natalie a respectful nod before quietly excusing himself.
Natalie sat down on the sofa. "Is that what youâre doing?"
"Do you have any doubts?" Justin responded coolly.
"Then the last claim they made about me in the news is certainly true."
Justinâs gaze didnât waver. "You should make it clear to them that youâre not involved with many rich menâbut only one. And that one is more than capable of turning everything upside down if anyone dares to mess with you." His expression was cold and resolute. "And this is just the beginning."
Natalie swallowed hard. He was doing all of this for her. Why? Was she really that important to him nowâimportant enough to create chaos in her defence?
Justin stood, motioning toward the dining table. "Letâs have breakfast."
Natalie followed him, sitting down across from him.
"Itâs late, and you still havenât had breakfast?" she asked.
He began serving food for both of them and replied, "I was busy with work."
He was clearly waiting for her to have breakfast together.
She observed his handsome face, his expression serious, his gaze so deep that it was impossible to guess what was in his mind. She could see something was off about him, but chose not to ask him.
As they began to eat, Natalie spoke cautiously. "Donât do anything more. Iâll handle them myself."
Justinâs gaze lifted to meet hers, his eyes sharp. "They hurt my woman, and you expect me to stand by and do nothing? What kind of man do you think I am?"
Natalie swallowed the bite in her mouth, then said softly, "I have to think of Grandpa before doing anything. But donât worry, I wonât let them off easily. I just want to handle it my way. Youâve already taken your revenge, havenât you?"
"Losing a few billion is nothing compared to what they did," Justin countered coldly.
She could sense he was truly angry, but he was good at not letting it show on his face. But then his calm and cold gaze and that icy gaze of his appeared more threatening.
"I will make them lose more than that," Natalie assured, "Now calm down."
Justin studied her, knowing she was just as angry, though she masked it well. He exhaled and said quietly, "Iâll let it go... since you didnât deny it when I called you ."
Natalie recalled what he said earlier and realized what he meant. Her face flushed and she continued to eat while keeping her head lowered.
It was truly not the right time to say âI am not your womanâ or rather she didnât want to say it. Being addressed as his woman, didnât feel bad at all.
"What do you plan to do after this?" Justin asked, watching her intently.
"Iâm heading to Ford Industries to strangle someone," Natalie said dryly.
Justin gave a low hum, then added, "Thereâs a file with all the details about last nightâs events. One of the culprits is still at the hotel. If you want to meet her, you canâyour sisterâs little minion."
Natalie nodded, already guessing that Lily was in deep trouble if Justin had his hand in this. She wondered what he had done to her.
After finishing her breakfast, Natalie skimmed through the file and got ready to confront Lily.
"Take Ryan with you," Justin instructed, signaling toward the bodyguard.
Natalie left the suite with Ryan at her side, her eyes scanning the surroundings, hoping to spot someone.
âWhere is John?â
She hadnât forgotten his efforts to get her to safety the night before, and a sense of gratitude settled within her.
she thought.
They reached the floor down where the room was arranged for Natalie, but now someone else was occupying it in her place.
Ryan opened the door, holding it for Natalie as she stepped inside, with him following close behind.
"Miss, you need to leave the room now," a hotel staff member was telling Lily, who was curled up on the floor beneath a tangled mess of sheets, sobbing quietly. "Your stay here is over. Youâll need to book again if you want to extend it."
The staff member turned to Natalie, her expression shifting. "Are you her friend, miss?"
"Certainly not," Natalie replied with a mocking smile. "Iâm just here to enjoy the show."
