CHAPTER TWELVE

I quickly opened the satchet , and he said it was supposed to give me energy.

How did he know? Such questions plagued my mind, but I was hungrier, so I engulfed the packets .

It tastes bad, he was right . I gages but swallowed the contents . I immediately felt better . I looked around my prison, cream bare walls, and nothing. I was the only other thing in here.

ZANES POV

"Any news ?" I was becoming impatient. Nobody had seen or heard from Theo .

" None , I asked around . The friends ,which were barely there to begin with , haven't heard from him since  he left school . His landlord hasn't seen him around, and neither have the tenants.  I had a couple of guys check the cctv that were around his school and house, but they've been no signs of him."

Thus was useless.  I was paying this guy huge sums of money to get me my baby back, and all they've been doing is bring me bad news .

" I'm not paying you to tell me this , all I want to hear from you is simple,  we've found his location!" I was probably being a dick to everyone around me, but at this point, I didn't care .Theo was my number one priority .

" Sir, i think we should look into the father some more . You said he wasn't a good man . If you allow me , I'll get into contact with the brother and see what he knows,  from there, we can know the way forward. "

" I don't care if you have to call God himself, turn this country inside out for all I care ,just get him back as soon as possible and in one piece ." After that, he left the room .

I had been a mess these past few days . I couldn't eat or sleep well knowing that's Theo was probably hurting or hungry out there . What wasn't he calling me ? I just hope he's laying low . I swear if he's hurt, I'll spill some blood .

" Excuse me, sir , you have a guest." The entire staff in my house was walking on eggshells around me ,even Maryl didn't have her witty comments .

I left my study and went to see who it was .

" Charly , what are you doing here ? And where is your daddy ?"

" Daddy's at work . I've come to play with you, uncle .I know you're sad right now ." He was literally the cutest .

He walked in and set his bagpack on the table . He unloaded a lot of building blocks and a colour book with pencils .

" Come on, Uncle Zane ." I wasn't in the mood, but I couldn't say no to him.

"Does your daddy know that you're here?"

" Nop!" He popped the p as he started assembling his blocks .

"Young man, how did you get here then?"

" Don't be angry, okay? I snuck out of daycare today . I've been asking Daddy to let me see you, but he says you're sad and not in a good mood. I know that you really miss Theo ,but he wouldn't want you to be sad because of him. So I came to make  you happy."

He was a really sweet boy, but that would make Xander very angry .

" I appreciate this little monster, but your daddy might get worried.  Don't do that next time, okay ?" He nodded, and I  decided he had a hard enough time already .I would call Xander later and tell him about this . He could drop by here and pick him up .

We played some more games before it was time for his lunch ,then he'd be put down for a nap. We liked following that routine whether or not He was in little space because he got real cranky . And right now, with everything that's been going on , Charly has been in between headspaces the whole time he has been here .

I put on a show for him to watch and I went to make the phone call. His daddy had probably been informed of his disappearance by now.

" Zane , I need your help..."

" He's safe. He's actually here with me, that is why I called ." I could almost feel him exhale .

" Thank heavens,  keep him there im coming to get him and teach him a lesson at the same time."

I knew he'd do that. Maryl had prepared some mashed potatoes and prawn. There was some fancy sauce on the side ,I didn't really care about that, but Charly needed his food to be moist .

"Daddy !" Well, that was quick. Did he break some traffic rules to get here that quick? I asked Maryl to serve up the food and place it in the dining area , we'd  be there in a bit.

"Sup, Xander." I took a seat  ,ready to watch the drama unfold before me . He was one hell of a strict daddy. But I did agree with him on this one , it was not safe for charly to be wandering alone ,especially when he's not fully big .

" Kneeling ." That's all he said, and Charly dropped into position, head down.

" Do you know how worried I was when I got that phone call, huh? That they couldn't find you ? You know that we're looking for Theo right now, baby. I don't want added stress. Now I want you to tell me everything you did wrong and how I should punish you ."

He had already started sniffling , i don't think those tears will work out today .

" I'm sorry, Daddy ."

" Get to the point, baby , I know you're sorry ,and you'll be more sorry once I'm done with you ."

" I ...I ran away from daycare.  And then... and then I took a taxi and came to see Uncle Zane. I spoke to a stranger, Daddy, and I didn't ask for permission. "

" Good boy , what else ?"

" I didn't tell you I was here . Sorry, Daddy ."

Xander wasn't budging today.  " How should I punish you ,and don't you dare say the corner or writing lines ."

" Pwease daddy i no wan' ouchies "  There he was . I was waiting for him to slip fully , which might help his case .

" Baby , I love you. Don’t forget that . But daddy has to punish you because you broke the big rules . This isn't you saying a bad word or taking an extra cookie okay . Now I'm going to spank you fifteen times and you have to count all of them okay ?"

Little Charly nodded , he was already crying I wonder what it would be like when he's hit .

" Now take of your pants and boxers too. Or should daddy help?"

Charky said he'd do it himself and he took his sweet time.

( I know some would argue that punishments are things to be done in private, but all of then are comfortable with the other witnessing .)

He was gently laid on his daddy's lap , his upper body resting on the couch and his back arched . One thing Xander had always been proud of is how flexible his boy is . His butt was well positioned and high.

" I'm going to start now, okay my love ."

The first slap probably stung ,it was a loud one . I think little Charly was surprised.  It took him a second to react .

" One daddy. "

" My good boy ." Xander massaged his cheeks as he consoled him ,then he landed the second one . He was making him relaxed before he struck. Charly was full on crying, and it was only the second one .

By ten Charly was squirming and sobbing . His daddy held him down and delivered the remaining blows .

" There ,there " Xander held him close and soothed him. " You took your punishment so well baby , daddy is so proud of you . I love you my precious . "

It took a while before he stopped crying. " wove you too daddy"

" There is my good brave and strong boy . Now I'll feed you some delicious food then you get down for your nap okay . When you wake up your bumbum will be all better. "

We headed to the dining area and Charly was being clingy,  he didnt want to ket go of his daddy and even wanted to be held at the table. Xander started by feeding his little one . He then gave him some water and a bottle of milk. Charly was out like a light before the bottle became empty.

He usually used one of the guest bedrooms while he was here ,he laid him in that and came back.

"So where have the detectives reached with Theo's case?"

" To be honest nowhere . He isn't in school and nobody has heard from him . They want to look into his father and family some more ."

" I think that's a great idea . You should look at every possible suspect . Don't worry , we'll get him ."

We had our meal while talking about some work stuff.

Afterwards we moved to my study so that we could proofread some documents and sign others together.  Him being here was giving ne the motivation i needed to work.

After an hour of working there was a nock." Is it Charly'time to wake up yet?"

" Mmhhhh nop ,he should be down for another hour . Weren't you expecting anyone ?"

" No I wasn't.  Come in ."

The detective I hired walked in with some documents in hand .

" Sorry for dropping by without informing you but I found something. So I found the brother and he hadn't heard from Theo since he travelled outside the country . The mother and father were rude ,just like you had described them .

I looked into the area cctv and there weren't any so I checked the dash cam footage from the neighbours cars. It showed Theo getting into his father's car , with him.

Afterwards they left . I uses the plate to track it and watch where it went from some of the roadcams , I think I know where he is ."

I stood shakily from my desk ." Are you sure ? I felt like shouting ."

" Yes sir . My team is I'm the area . We don't have a specific location as there were no cameras out there ,but we're scouting out the whole area . We're also running background checks on all the homeowners in the area . We will get him ."

Finally ! Progress, they were almost finding him .

Don't worry Theo, daddy is coming . I'm coming baby boy .
