Chapter 4 Little Melon

After the doctor did some additional tests to check if her body was doing well, Xia Meiren was left with her family.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Xia Meiren looked at her bloated belly, she was eight months pregnant... She still couldn’t believe that she’s pregnant with a baby boy.

The doctor told her that since her baby was not yet formed and her uterus was not damaged when she got into an accident, her child was able to grow in her tummy.

"Who’s that damn bastard that did this to you, Meiren? Tell me!" Xia Sinian said as he gritted his teeth.

After learning that Xia Meiren was pregnant while she was in a coma, Ji Ruo told Xia Jiamo and Xia Sinian about the incident about what the Lin family did and how Xia Meiren was raped.

Xia Meiren shook her head before she lowered it. "I... don’t know... I’m sorry, brother." If they learn that it was Lu Yifeng who did it, the Xia family will definitely try to fight the Lu family and it will definitely be the cause of the Xia family’s downfall.

"That doesn’t matter anymore. What’s important is we will have a new member in our family.." Ji Ruo said as she gently stroked Xia Meiren’s tummy.

Xia Meiren nodded. The child in her tummy is innocent, she shouldn’t blame the child for his father’s mistake. Babies are the purest thing in the world, this was a common knowledge. Xia Meiren couldn’t do anything but to accept the child in her tummy. If she would not accept him then who would? The child’s father was someone who was not to be mess with.

"This child is mine, even if I hate his father, this child is innocent of his father’s sins. From now on, my son is a member of the Xia family." Xia Meiren knows the feeling of growing up with no parents better than anyone. If not for her grandparents, Xia Meiren would have turn to a lonely child. Xia Meiren was a kind woman and it was against her principles to abandon a child.

Xia Sinian didn’t agree on this. It would be better if they could give the child for adoption. He was worried of his sister’s reputation since she got pregnant without getting married. If others were to learn about this, then Xia Meiren’s reputation will be ruined!

He wanted to say something but seeing the look on his grandma and sister’s faces, he could tell that they will definitely argue back with him.

He looked at his grandpa, he saw the disapproving look on Xia Jiamo’s face. It is two versus two but he knows that they would still be defeated by the girls since both Xia Jiamo and Xia Sinian was afraid of Ji Ruo’s wrath.

Meeting Xia Jiamo’s eyes, they know that they both have the similar thoughts. Xia Jiamo could only shook his head to Xia Sinian as if telling him not to speak about it.

Xia Meiren stayed in the hospital until her due date. She was able to give birth to an adorable angel who has a full head of black hair.

When Xia Meiren first held him in her arms, her heart melted. She couldn’t believe that she gave birth to the cutest baby she has ever seen!

It was not just her heart that was stolen by the boy, he stole Ji Ruo’s heart and filled it with warmth and happiness. Ji Ruo’s maternal instinct kicked in upon seeing Xia Meiren holding her son, she wanted to protect them both no matter what.

For some reason, Xia Jiamo softened up upon seeing the adorable little boy. The fact that he was able to have a grandson was something so overwhelming for him. Although unlike him, Xia Sinian hardened his heart. There was no way he was going to accept that boy as his family.

"Have you finally thought of a name for him?" Ji Ruo asked when Xia Meiren handed her the baby.

"Xia Gua, his name is Xia Gua." Xia Meiren said with a bright smile despite how haggard she look. They say that after giving birth; the moment the mothers see their babies, they will be able to forget all of the pains they experienced while giving birth.

Xia Sinian furrowed his brows. "Are you serious? You wanted to name him after the fruit you’ve been craving for the past weeks?"

Ever since Xia Meiren woke up from her coma, she would always crave for melons, so one day, while she was thinking of a name for her son, she decided to give him that name.

"What’s wrong with it? It’s really cute!" She smiled. "My little Melon is the cutest."

Xia Sinian could only sigh because of his sister’s poor naming sense. He feels sorry for his nephew... wait- what nephew? There’s no way that he’s going to accept that boy as his nephew!
