Chapter 28 Have you seen Little Melon?

Xia Meiren glared at Lu Yifeng. Can’t he be more careful? Is he a masochist? She shuddered at the thought.

She didn’t allow Little Melon to go and hug him. Instead she went in and sat between Lu Yifeng and Little Melon.

"Mommmaaaa!" Little Melon was pouting. He wanted to go and hug his father but since Xia Meiren was in between them, he can only cross his arms and sulk.

Xia Meiren sighed. She can only wonder how Little Melon became this attached to Lu Yifeng.

She heard a soft chuckle coming from Lu Yifeng. She turned to him with the same glare she gave him earlier. "If you keep on being like this, you won’t heal. You should go back to the hospital!"

Su Lei nodded his head quietly when he heard Xia Meiren’s words. Even if he tried saying this to his master, he won’t listen. He was hoping that he will listen to her.

"I will rest at home." He said with a smile. Seeing Xia Meiren acting this way towards him made him happy like a child who got a lollipop.

"Is dada sick?" Little Melon stared to his father.

"Yes, he is."

"I’m not."

Xia Meiren and Lu Yifeng looked at each other. She glared daggers at him while his lips curled up once again.

Little Melon was confused, he doesn’t know who to believe in.

"I’m just following what my doctor said so don’t blame me." Lu Yifeng said with a small smile. "He said that I lack Vitamin U."

Her face started heating up as she stared at him, she quickly avoided his gaze since she suddenly feel embarrass. "I-I don’t think your doctor is in the right mind."

"Really?" Lu Yifeng turned to Su Lei who was sitting in the passenger seat. "Didn’t you get the best doctor for me?"

Su Lei inwardly cried. ’Master, please don’t include me in this.’

But in the end, he cannot defy his master. "Y-yes... the best doctor..."

From then on, Xia Meiren was quiet and didn’t argue with him anymore.

Arriving in their place, Lu Yifeng went to his room while Xia Meiren went to Little Melon’s room and help him change his clothes.

Since it was almost time for dinner, they went to the dining room to eat.

"I haven’t saw your parents. Won’t they be coming home tonight?" Xia Meiren finally spoke up.

"They’re living in Guangzhou. The Lu family main house is there." He simply said before he continued eating.

She inwardly sighed in relief. Xia Meiren was actually nervous when she thought about meeting his parents since she doesn’t know anything about them.

"Don’t worry, you’ll meet them soon."

If she’ll be meeting them soon, how can she not be worried?! Was he intentionally saying this to give her a heart attack?

Xia Meiren could only quietly send daggers to Lu Yifeng before she continued eating.

After their dinner, Lu Yifeng took Little Melon for a walk in the garden while Xia Meiren went to practice her pieces in the music room. She was strict with herself whenever she practice her piano skills that’s why she was able to receive the achievements she has now.

When she realized that it was almost her son’s bedtime, she went out of the music room. Since she wasn’t able to find him, she went to a maid and asked her, "Have you seen, Xiao Gua?"

"Yes madam. The young master is in master’s room right now." The maid said politely.

"Oh... thank you." Xia Meiren turned and climbed the stairs slowly.

She was actually hesitant about going to Lu Yifeng’s room but since Little Melon is there, everything would be fine, right?

Xia Meiren was now standing in front of Lu Yifeng’s room. She breathed in and out before she knocked.

"Come in." Lu Yifeng’s voice was heard from the other side.

She opened the door and peeked inside. Lu Yifeng’s room has a black and white theme in it. It was bigger than her room and it was neat and clean.

"Momma?"

When she turned her head, she saw Little Melon hugging his cat plushy while he was lying down beside Lu Yifeng.

Lu Yifeng was sitting down, holding a book. "Is there something you need?"

"It’s time for Xiao Gua to go back to his room and sleep." Xiao Meiren said as she tried to calm her racing heart.

Little Melon pouted. "Mello will sleep with dada tonight. Come momma!" He let out a grin while patting the space on his other side. "Mello wants to sleep with momma too!"

"..." Xia Meiren stared blankly at them before she took a step back and closed the door, as if she didn’t heard what Little Melon just said. She walked back to her room and shut the door.

Huhu! How can Little Melon betray her and replace her with Lu Yifeng?!

She already allowed him to steal her freedom and yet, Lu Yifeng is also stealing her son’s attention! She will definitely not let him have it all!
