Chapter 48
Fated For Lycan's Luna
"What we need here is a powerful Luna. How long do you think the Silver Pack could wait for you?â
Astor said with a cold voice.
The members of the Silver Pack were always nothing but kind to me, so I did not at all expect Astor
to ask me such a question. My mood suddenly sank.
How long could the Silver Pack wait for me? My entire body suddenly turned cold. That question... I
did not know what to answer.
Seeing the change in my expression, Astor's eyes turned even colder before he said with a harsh
tone, âOr is the pack wrong? Is it that you donât want to be the Luna of the Silver Pack at all?â
After he spoke, Astor turned around, leaving me alone.
At night, I tossed and turned in bed, Astor's words kept on repeating in my mind. In fact, what Astor
told me hit me right in the bullseyes.
From the moment I arrived in the Silver Pack until Astor arrived, I did not seriously think about
whether I really wanted to be the Luna...I simply liked Blake.
âBut becoming the Luna of the Silver Pack is not as simple as being just Blake's Luna...â I muttered
over my pillow. Accepting that role, I would be responsible for the entire pack. âCould I really take
on this heavy responsibility? Besides... look at my current physical condition...â
"How can I be their Luna when I can't even do anything by myself...â
The same as the days before, Teacher Astor approached me to check on my injuries. Then, he
frowned.
âThe result of the training today is very poor. Don't eat any food tonight,â he coldly said. I closed my
eyes and silently nodded, agreeing to what he said.
It was Carrie who immediately greeted me when I returned to the pack house.
"Hi... Chloe! Welcome back!â She smiled while pointing at the table. âI prepared all of your favorite
food. Come and eat dinner!"
I looked at the beautifully prepared dishes and a sad smile appeared on my lips.
âThank you, Carrie... But I don't have an appetite tonight,â I softly told her. A surprised expression
appeared on Carrie's face before she hurriedly approached me and held my hand.
"What's wrong, Chloe? You never skipped dinner before...â She asked. Looking at Carrie's worried
eyes, I could not help but confess to her.
âI had poor training today... so Teacher Astor punished me. He told me not to eat dinner tonight,â I
told her with a sad tone.
Carrie's eyes widened before she carefully told me, âChloe... but I think it's alright to eat something
secretly... otherwise you will have no strength for tomorrow's training...â
I felt Carrie's concern towards me, but I shook my head. âI can't, Carrie. I must do what I promised...â
I replied. âJust like how I promised to Blake that I would receive this training...â
"So, I must do it,â I told Carrie who sighed before patting my shoulder.
"Alright. You can do it! I know you can!â Carrie started cheering me up. âI'll just be here to support
you!â She added with a big smile.
My heart felt warm. Seeing Carrie's support, I suddenly missed Blake who was still away because of
the mission.
I looked out the window. Outside, the night looked peaceful and calm.
I don't know how things are going on with Blake and the others..."
âI wonder... when they can come home..." I thought to myself as I felt a dull ache in my heart.
