Blake's POV

After roughly a day of coordination with Alpha Kain’s men, we were finally allowed to go out of the

Blood Hound territory to “investigate’ where we could find the remnants of the Blood Moon Pack.

Midway on the journey, I stopped mygroup and divided our party into two.

“Idris, assign the others to go back to the “base’ and gather enough people. They shall wait for us to

come back before we commence our operations.”

Idris is assigned as the focal person on the side of the true Frost Fang Pack. With the agreement

with Alpha Sabre, we chose the most reliable on both sides of the Silver and Frost Fang Pack and

made a “base’ that will serve as the pseudo headquarters of the mysterious Frost Fang Pack.

In this way, Alpha Kain could investigate the place anytime without having to expose the real

territories of the Silver and Frost Fang Pack.

"Alright... but are we going somewhere?” Idris did not protest against my orders but instead

curiously asked my intentions of dividing the group.

“Yes, you, Arthur and I shall go to a place prior to continuing this act.” I answered him briefly before

giving a hint that no one other than the three of us shall know the next step.

Just like that, the three of us remained while the others were commissioned to organize a force to

pretend to carry out Alpha Kain’s mission.

“Let's go... I'll explain the situation along the way.” I looked at Arthur and Idris before rushing

through a different direction deep in the woods.

"Blake, don't tell me we will go to her?” Arthur followed behind and worriedly asked.

"Yes... we must talk to her. I think that a cooperation with her is necessary...” No longer hiding my

intentions I answered Arthur's question.

“Could that person be the one at the party?” Idris asked curiously.

Knowing that we are in a cooperation with the Frost Fang Pack, I explained a little bit to him,

“Indeed, she was the woman I saved back in that banquet. More precisely, she is the leader of the

Blood Moon Pack that Alpha Kain wants our disguised personas to annihilate.”

"Mmm... I see... If she is from the Blood Moon Pack, then most likely we are standing on the same

side.” Idris did not answer right away but instead tried to weigh the situation first.

Having the name of his pack borrowed for our goals, every plan I make must also make sense to

him. That is because one wrong move will cause a wide scale manhunt to the Frost Fang Pack alone!

"Err... to be honest, we might be on the same side... but Blake does not have a good relationship

with her...” Arthur did not hide his hesitation as he looked at me with worry and doubt.

“Blake, are you sure that Chloe is ready to meet us? What if she was still against seeing you?” He

asked.

“In this matter, she will have no choice but to talk to us.” I answered coldly.

In truth, it was not only her that did not have a choice. My side too, had no choice but to cooperate

with him

Having seen Alpha Kain up close, experiencing his display of power, I knew that no one in both the

Silver and Frost Fang Pack could defeat him alone.

Moreover, it is not only Alpha Kain that has to be defeated, all the Alphas and elders supporting him

from behind must also be dealt with. Unfortunately, our forces were simply not enough even if we

used all our warriors at hand

But having Chloe in the picture, I know that it will change the situation a lot. With their might

displayed during the assassination of Kain's second base and right hand man, along with the display

they did during the banquet, their power can really help us a lot.

Moreover, Alpha Kain was set on annihilating Alpha Aira’s pack whose identity Chloe was borrowing

at the moment. As I do not know whether they have used the same means as us like we did in the

Frost Fang Pack, I have to tell her Alpha Kain’s move before we ever do something.

Thus, even though I have already told Chloe that I would only meet her when she is ready... It seems

like the situation calls us to cooperate closely, despite our issues with each other.

“Lycan King... Although I have no idea what is wrong between you and the leader of the Blood

Moon Pack, how sure are you that they will choose to cooperate with us or at least not cause us any

hindrance?” Idris asked after a long while.

“I'll use all means possible.” I simply replied.

Traveling quite far, we finally reached the human town and immediately put on a disguise.

“This... a human town?" Idris raised his brows and asked.

“This is just a cover.” Answering in a lowered voice I led them at the edge of the tone as I faintly

released my aura.

Cold wind blew over us as the shadows of the forest started to move. In an instant, several people

arrived with their eyes looking at us with vigilance.

"Who are you people, state your cause.” The leader of the men asked with hostility in his voice.

“I need to meet your leader. Tell her that we want to cooperate.” Looking at the unfamiliar face in

front of me, I answered succinctly.

"Who is this guy? I never saw his face back when I visited the Blood Moon Pack.” Arthur muttered.

I was also taken aback by the unfamiliar face, especially when the strength of his aura was even

more formidable than Allan, whom I know was the strongest sentry of the Blood Moon Pack.

“You cannot simply come here, announce yourself and expect us to believe you. Apologies but you

must go, or else we will deal with you immediately!” The leader of the men refused with cold eyes as

he released his aura once more while his men followed.

“Let us not waste any time here. The solution here is simple, let Chloe decide. Tell her that the

people that saved her from the banquet last time are requesting for cooperation.”

"How dare you mention her name so recklessly!” The leader of the men became even more angrier

as if he wanted to advance and attack me the moment I mentioned Chloe's name.

I stared at him with my heart filled with a sense of alarm and discomfort. The way this man acted

when I mentioned Chloe seems to be strange.

As Chloe's mate... I don't like it!
