HANAHAKI BASIL (Part 1; A new world)

BASIL... WAKE UP... THE FLOWERS...

Basil jerked awake, he got out of bed swiftly and looked around the room.

Huh..? Basil thought to himself.

He felt dizzy, he went to the bathroom, feeling like he was going to throw up. He feel weakly onto the floor as he burst open the door, he got up swiftly and blinked away sleepiness. He realized a small drop of blood dripping from his mouth.

Ugh.. What is going on? Basil thought to himself.

He wiped the blood from his mouth and rinsed his face. he gave himself a concerned look in the mirror, the light flickered for a moment, then turned back on. Basil got a little scared, but he pushed it aside. He picked up his toothbrush and began to brush his teeth.

Basil went back to his room, changed clothes. Then, he watered his flowers, inside the house and outside. He walked to Faraway Park and saw Aubrey's friend, Kimberly, Almost as soon as he walked down the street.

Basil rushed over to Kimberly "Hey! Uh.. Kim, Do you know where Aubrey is?"

Basil asked in a cracked up voice. Kimberly turned to Basil, glaring at him.

"No." Basil could tell it was a lie, Kimberly always lied. "

How about you go ask a gun." Kimberly chuckled, like it was the funniest joke she had made since Middle School.

Basil cringed at the joke, he glanced around. "Please Kim! Just tell me where she is, I know you know where she is, just spill it! I have to talk to her!"

At that moment, Two people started watching, One was Kel, Basil's old friend. The other was Sunny, Basil's best friend and crush.

Basil didn't really take notice to Kel and Sunny walking up to Kimberly and his conversion at first. He was busy talking to Kimberly. At that moment, Aubrey came from behind the trees. Aubrey glared at Basil, then, ask;

"What do you want, Basil." Basil felt a little pressured. "I just wanted to ask for my photo album back..!"

Basil back up a little bit, Aubrey was a big bully and the leader of her new found friend group, The Hooligans.

Aubrey sighed and glared at Basil again. And then walked up closer to me, grabbed Basil by his  arm and clutch onto it really hard. Then, she said

"After what you did to it? Ha! No way, Crybaby."

she then twisted Basil's arm a bit and then threw Basil to the ground. Then, a shout came from next to them.

"Aubrey! Stop bullying Basil!" It was Kel! Sunny wasn't in view of Basil's vison though.

Aubrey turned to Kel, then spotted Sunny. "Look who finally decided to get out of the house!"

Aubrey pointed her bat to Sunny, Basil seemed confused at first, then looked a bit to the side, then he saw Sunny, He froze. His crush, who left him with all the guilt for four years had finally come out of the house, he looked so pale.

Basil just stared in shock at Sunny, Sunny finally looked back. Basil's eyes soften, The love of his life was right in front of him, Again. He looked away for a moment, then Aubrey shouted;

"IF YOU GUYS ARE LOOKING FOR A FIGHT! I'LL GIVE YOU A FIGHT!"

Shoot. Kel and Aubrey were probably arguing and he didn't even notice he was so distracted.

Aubrey pointed her bat at both of them, then swung, thankfully, Kel dodged. Kel threw his basketball at her and he got it on point.

Of course he had good aim! Hes a basketball player, anyways, Sunny went in for a attack, Basil looked closely at what Sunny was holding.. It was a knife?! Basil quickly ran in between Aubrey and Sunny.

"STOP! Sunny.. Put the knife down." Aubrey's eyes turned from Basil to Sunny.

"A KNIFE?!" She shouted. Basil looked at both of them.

Kel took Sunny's Knife quickly, Sunny tried to get it back. But Kel held it over his head. Sunny turned back to Basil and glared. Basil felt a sudden pain in his stomach. Basil jerked back a little, but he pulled himself together.

Aubrey turned to her friends. "Lets go, These losers aren't worth it."

All of the Hooligans got onto their scooters, but before Aubrey left she glanced back at Kel and her eyes turned soft then left the clearing. Basil turned to Sunny and Kel, His heart racing. Kel threw Sunny's knife as far as he could into the trees. Sunny gave Kel a disappointed look.

"Oh, yeah. I forgot to say hi.. Uh.. Hi, Basil!" Kel was always this way.

Sunny waved, he seemed a bit upset. His eyes were soft.

heck, He is really cute. Sunny was also so cute and cool

Basil then remembered something, he had a flower on him. He had it just incase Sunny had come out. He had always been doing this, ever since the first day he stopped coming out. He pulled out a flower and held it out to Sunny.

"Ah! I keep forgetting i have extra flowers on me. hehe.." Basil's face turned red.

god that was so embarrassing. Sunny took the flower, and stared at it, then glanced back at Basil.  He gave a thumbs up.

How is he so- how does he do it without saying a single word?

Kel glanced at the flower.

"I didn't know you kept flowers on you, Basil? Is that just a thing now?" Kel asked.

"Huh..? Oh, I just normally come out of the house with flowers.. Hehe.." Basil seemed embarrassed.

It was silent for a moment, then Kel objected the silence with a question.

" Hey, Basil. Do you wanna hang out with me and Sunny?"

Basil took a moment to decide. He wanted to hang out, but also didn't want to mess up anything.

" Uh.. Sure..!" Basil's voice cracked up. He glanced back over to Sunny, he was smelling the flower he just gave him. Sunny glanced back and waved.

Kel took Basil's attention again. "Great! Lets go!"

Kel took Basil and Sunny's arms and begin to walk out of the park.

They began to walk towards town center, Kel then broke the silence.

" Do you guys want to have some pizza? I got some extra money on me."

Basil and Sunny glanced at eachother and nodded. Basil didnt really care. He thought that Sunny was just hungry, With how skinny he is now.

"Great! Lets go!" Kel dragged Basil and Sunny to Gino's Pizza.

Basil looked around the place, He hasn't been here for awhile. Sunny had a pale face, be he could tell he was shocked by how little it changed since he last went here.

Basil, Sunny and Kel sat down at a table and waited for their pizza. Kel went on his phone, He seemed pretty happy today.

Basil turned to Sunny, Sunny was just staring at the ceiling.  He seemed so empty, more empty then before.

"So.. Sunny. How have you been." Basil tried to break the silence.

Sunny gave a thumbs up.

"Oh, Well thats great!"

Then, it got silent again. Boy this was a embarrassing moment. After 4 years he had finally got to talk to his best friend, after that horrible day, they were finally talking.

Basil felt overwhelmed. The silence sounded so loud.. somehow? He got up from the chair.

"I dont feel good, I'm going home.. It was good to talk to you guys again.."

Kel took his eyes off his phone.

"You are going already? Awwh.. I wanted to hangout more.."

Basil felt bad.

"I'm sorry, Kel, Sunny.."

Basil felt bad for leaving Sunny mostly. He sees Kel more.

Basil walked out the building and went straight home, He made sure to water the flowers before entering the house, he forgot he already did it this morning.

He went straight to his room and locked the door, jumped onto his bed and screamed into his pillow.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Polly could hear that from outside

Basil drew the pillow away from his face, he placed it on his bed and laid his head on it.

he stared up a the slowly moving ceiling fan, his eyes began to feel heavy.

He closed his eyes, and suddenly, he was in a different place. he heard the words;

Welcome to FlowerSpace, Haki.

This is your new home.

Basil saw the mirror to his right, he grabbed it and looked at himself, he was not himself anymore. But instead, he was a very pale, young, skinny boy with dark cyan hair with two flowers in his hair.
