Chapter 26

Once again, I failed in my life. It feels like I can't win anything, everything goes wrong. The moon held my arm, asked me something, then shouted at me. Everything was happening so slowly that I couldn't understand. The earth started arguing, "Moon, stop shouting, something's wrong." The moon replied angrily, "Earth, are you a magician? You always think negatively."

I said, "Geet was shot."

They became silent for a moment. The moon said, "What? Who told her to go without any security? She knows that fucking... aahhh (yelled)."

The earth said, "Calm down! Just focus here. Jay and Ranjeet are inside. Let's go there."

The moon replied, "What about Geet! Who the fuck did this?" the moon was angry.

The earth said, "Okay then, moon, go there! Payal and I will go inside."

I started crying and broke down. "I don't know what to do now."

"Don't panic! How did you know?" Earth consoled me.

I said while crying, "They called me."

"Ask them where she is. Moon, go there fast! You've come this far, you can't be weak now."

Seeing the earth consoling me, the moon took a deep breath. It was like she felt proud, her eyes sparkled. The moon kicked the tires of 2-3 cars and shouted loudly, "Aaaaaa! We won't give up!"

The door was open, and they had guns pointed at everyone's heads, as if they knew we were coming.

Baba said,

"Welcome, friends! How do you like my humble abode?"

I looked at Chipsy; tears were streaming down my face. He saw me and started crying too. He smiled as if to say we would save him. The moon's bodyguards made signals with their fingers; they were very advanced. Everyone took a position, slowly moving their bodies.

Baba said, "Get out of here. I left the door open to show that I'm not weak. If anyone enters, they'll find their heads smashed."

Ranjeet's dad had a gun pointed at Ranjeet's head. Ranjeet's dad signaled him with his hands and eyebrows expression. At first, Ranjeet didn't understand, then his gaze moved to the gun. He quickly took the gun and pointed it at his dad's head.

"Put the gun down, Baba," Ranjeet said.

"Do you want to kill me? Go ahead! I don't care if my son dies or not, I only care about myself. Nobody can kill me. I am amar (Immortal)" Baba said.

Ranjeet's dad had tears in his eyes but smiled. He felt that Ranjeet had done a good thing for the first time. Ranjeet's dad took the gun.

"Baba, I might not care about you, but I care about my dad!"

"What are you thinking? Are you going to kill me?" Baba devilishly smirked.

By then, the bodyguard got time, and one of them shot Baba in the hand. The gun fell to the ground! When Baba tried to pick it up, the police fired 6-7 shots. Baba died, and so did his arrogance! Every evil has an end, sometimes sooner, sometimes later.

The police untied everyone. Chipsy started hugging me, and I pulled his ear. " Stupid! Do not talk to me! You crazy!"

"Stop it, Dee! It hurts!"

They both started crying. Ranjeet looked at his dad emotionally, wanting to hug him but not knowing how. Chipsy saw this and hugged Ranjeet's dad, "Thank you, Uncle!" and signaled to Ranjeet, "Come on! Group hug!"

Ranjeet slowly approached, hugging and Ranjeet started crying heart out. His anger seemed to melt away, he sat down, crying. Ranjeet's dad wiped his tears. "Forgive me, son."

Ranjeet's dad also sat down, and they hugged, gently patting his back.

Ranjeet smiled at Chipsy. Omkara was untying Umeed. Umeed looked at Omkara, "Finally!" Both started dancing excitedly.

The earth laughed, "These two monkeys found each other!"

The moon asked, "Omkara, did you ask Hope if she likes chess?"

Hope said, "What? Chess! No, I know karate!"

Omkara laughed, "Look! There's nothing like that between us."

The earth looked at the moon, "Doesn't seem like it." The moon gave a back look to the earth, their eyes met. The moon said, "Maybe...There's something."

I said, "Come on, go home now! Mom is waiting for you!"

Ranjeet's dad said, "By the way, Ranjeet, are you two really going to continue with this wedding?" Everyone was walking, some people were happy, even the teacher was caught. Some people were sad.

Ranjeet looked at Chipsy and said, "Not now!"

Chipsy made a face, "What the fuck?"

The moon, earth, and I drove to Geet's place. Omkara was with us too. When Omkara was about to leave, Umeed said, "Omkara, can I have your number?"

Omkara gave his number and sat down in car. Omkara asked in a flirtatious voice, "Is it for friendship or something more?"

Umeed laughed, "What's the hurry?"

Omkara replied, "I'm 30 now, how long should I wait?"

Umeed hugged Omkara, "Did you feel anything?"

Omkara felt the hug, made expression as if remembering old love memories. Then he said with peaceful smile, "Yes! The same old feelings."

Umeed smiled, "I work as a driver here."

Omkara said, "Then become my driver! Drive me crazy!"

Umeed asked, "You don't even know me! This makeup and dress aren't the real me."

Omkara said, in a flirtatious voice "Wait! I'll come back to answer this question."

The car started, and we all headed straight to Jaipur. Jay's car, with some bodyguards, was going home. In my mind, I said, "Geet, don't give up! I'm coming! I'm with you."

The moon and earth are sitting close to each other, both not talking anything. I didn't ask either, my mind is just lost in memories of Geet. There was a sparkle in my eyes, as if I am ready for all the pain. In my eyes, there was only the eagerness to meet the Geet, nothing else. Omkara was smiling while looking at his phone. I am sitting on one side of the car's front seat. Behind, the moon, earth, and Omkara are sitting. There is a space between the moon and the earth which is less than before but not as small as I thought it would be. I guess everyone needs time. Everyone needs a chance to come out of the worst, messy times in their life, and I also got this one chance, call it a fake marriage or ye kahu (If I say) Accidental love.... Naaa call it accidental amore.

Side Story

Jay was looking at Ranjeet with an angry expression. Jay said angrily, "What kind of tantrums are these?"

Ranjeet asked, "Did you say something?"

"No sir!" Jay said, forcing a smile, irritated.

The car stopped, and Ranjeet's dad got out and walked towards his house. Ranjeet and Jay both moved towards Jay's house. As soon as Jay's mom saw them, she burst into tears. Jay's dad was also standing at a distance. Jay looked at his dad, who then left. Jay's maa placed his hand on Ranjeet's head and said, "May God protect both of you from every evil eye!"

Ranjeet touched his feet, and then Jay's mom fed both of them. Jay went to freshen up. Jay came out in a towel after freshening up, Happy, excited and Ranjeet entered the room just then. Seeing Jay only in a towel, Ranjeet said, "Sorry! Sorry," and tried to leave the room quickly, but Jay grabbed his hand.

"Why are you angry? What happened? Talk to me."

Ranjeet said, "Hold something else! ...The towel will fall."

Jay looked his towel and smiled at Ranjeet, "Why are you feeling shy, boy?"

"You want me not to stay with you? You don't even accept this marriage, is that why? If there is regret, I forgive you. Don't punish me like this." Jay said, showing anger and saddens same time.

Ranjeet started to leave, but Jay held his hand.

"You won't understand!" Jay had tears in his eyes, he was like dying from anger and pain. Jay hugged Ranjeet tightly. Ranjeet tried to break free, but Jay held him most tightly. Ranjeet calmed down and hugged Jay back. Ranjeet was about to cry but didn't let the tears fall.

"I don't want a love that lasts just a moment. Jay, this is momentary for you, you'll get bored," Ranjeet said calmly.

Jay aggressive, passionate in love and said, "I don't have proof, but I loved you before too, just didn't respect you. Forgive me, my actions are a bit childish."

Ranjeet freed himself in anger and said, "Maybe you are still being childish. Let's meet after a year. If you still remember your love, then come back." Ranjeet left.

Ranjeet said to himself, "Forgive me, Jay, I am not worthy of you." Ranjeet wiped his tears and walked towards his house. Ranjeet's dad was crying and apologizing at his mom's feet. Ranjeet's mom was also crying.

Ranjeet's mom said, "Please don't do this." Ranjeet's mom sat at his dad's feet, and Ranjeet smiled through his tears. "My family is perhaps complete now."

Ranjeet said, "Papa."

Ranjeet's dad looked at Ranjeet and said, "Son, come, dinner is ready. Today, we'll watch a movie together."

Ranjeet's long wait was over. It felt like a worst time in his life had passed. Now, Ranjeet could do whatever he wanted. Jay, in anger, deleted Ranjeet's number. Jay packed his bag and was leaving for Delhi. Jay's mom said, "Son, stay a little longer, you look troubled. What happened?"

Jay said, "Mom! I miss my job a lot. If Payal Dee comes, tell her I am in Delhi."

Some relationships were forming, some were yet to face trials by agni-pariksha (fire).
