Chapter 1

I Aim to Please

Cravings (girlxgirl)

People crave all sorts of things. Love, acceptance, admiration, money, women. Personally, I favor the last choice. Money? Well of course that’s nice. Admiration? Lovely, I like women admiring my body, but I’d rather do more than that. Acceptance? I’ve got friends who like me well enough, and if not these friends, I’d have other ones. Acceptance is in the crowd you are with. It’s sort of a given, I don’t need more than I have though, so not really a craving. Love? Now that was a fool’s game. I’d played it of course, and I’d lost pretty badly. I didn’t believe in love. I believed in tolerance of another person for a while.

Lust?

I believed in lust.

I was 19, In college for about a year. Culinary, baking and pastries. So, being a 19 year old, I did the usual thing. I had a fake ID and would drink a few beers at the bar before finding a woman to take home. Don’t worry, if I had too much, it was a cab ride home. I was stupid, but I wasn’t suicidal or willing to kill someone else.

That’s where I was tonight actually. Some gay bar in the giant city of Seattle not too far from my apartment. I had a beer on the edge of the pool table and a twenty under it, just in case I lost. I was lining up a shot when I saw someone lean on the table in the spot next to me. I heard the balls clack together and I looked up to see woman standing there with a smirk playing along her lips.

She had long blonde hair and blue eyes. Nice, if you liked that sort of thing. I guess light switches were made for ignoring what you didn’t want to see. The rest of her wasn’t so bad, not so much a dyke as a tomboy. She had on a baseball cap and a flannel shirt with a pair of loose jeans. Me? I was considered soft butch. Couple inches of hair pushed into a faux hawk and a button up shirt that was loose, but still showed off some feminine curves I possessed, a pair of loose jeans and sneakers.

I straightened up, took a swig of the beer on the table and said, “Hey.”

“Hey to you too.” She kept that smirk on her face and then said, “I’m actually not over here to flirt with you, although I wouldn’t mind it one bit.” Her eyes scanned my body and I smiled a little more.

“Really? Well, what can I help you with? I aim to please.” I said, smirking right back at her.

“Well, my friend is new to the bar scene, and she just got out of some weird relationship with some girl. We took her out for some fun, a couple drinks and all that, and then going home. I don’t think she’s stopped staring at you for more than five minutes, and some of us were wondering if maybe you’d wanna talk for a bit.” Playing wingman, but to who?

“Where is she?”

I followed her gaze to a table on the other side of the room to see a girl go bright red and look down in into the bottle she had in front of her. I took another drink as I looked her over. Dark brown hair that trailed down her back in loose, lazy curls, lightly tanned skin, nothing really special, except there was something special. Have you ever looked at someone, and you can’t really say what it is, but there’s something just insanely attractive about them? It’s not the hair or the face or anything, it’s just that they’re really fucking hot? I think she had that quality.

I smiled and walked over to my opponent and pressed the twenty in her hand. “I’ve got to go talk to a girl.”

“Heartbreaker Devon is on a mission again!” She chuckled.

“Don’t worry Jan, I won’t forget you.”

“Dev, come on, I can see her too, but she does not look like she is really ready for the experience of you.” She laughed.

“Calm down, I just want to talk.”

“Yeah, and that will lead to you getting on your bike with her and taking her to that place you call home and screwing her.”

“Maybe, and if it does, I’ll see you tomorrow night and tell you everything you’re dying to know.” I smiled and walked off. I let my hand touch the wingman’s shoulder before I started maneuvering my way through the crowd to the bar.

Luce, the bartender looked at me with this smile that said she knew exactly what I was up to. I held up two fingers and she pulled two bottles from under the counter and went on to the next person.

I made my way over to the table with the girl and her friends, who of course saw me coming, all went to the dance floor simultaneously. Good friends. I thought to myself as I walked up to the blushing girl. Cute. I thought with a grin as I stood there for a moment, watching her get nervous and all of that. I unscrewed the top on both beers and set one in front of her.

“You seem to have some pretty great friends.” I joked as I took one of the chairs across from her. The tables were small and round, and there was a small dance floor on the other end of the large room. I guess this was more of a club, considering the dance floor, but I usually stuck to the ‘bar’ area, pool table, bar, and tables. I wasn’t much of a dancer.

“You really don’t need to do this. My friends are just being…” Her voice trailed off and she fiddled with the bottle in front of her.

“Friends?” I finished for her. “All friends do that sort of thing.” I took a drink and looked at her again. Up close I could see those striking green eyes. Yeah, this was a girl that I would only want to have with the lights on, just so I could see those eyes roll back—

“Yeah, I guess they do.” Her voice jerked me from my thoughts and I nodded.

I leaned forward and smiled at her. “Hey, you should be happy to have them. I probably would’ve gone home and, if your friend was telling the truth when she told me how you’d been eyeing me all night, you would’ve wondered what could’ve happened if you had just said something. Now you can find out. So, what do you want to talk about?”

She laughed and said, “I really have no idea, I have no clue what happens next.” She was smiling at me now, but I could still see that blush.

“Well, we can sit here and talk about really nothing and then go back to my place, or we could go our separate ways, or we can just skip that and go back to my place now.” I took another drink. “I’m comfortable with any of those options, the question is, what do you want?”

Her arms were wrapped around my waist on the way over, which was to be expected since it was a motorcycle and that’s what you do. I always made sure to carry an extra helmet for a woman I was taking home, safety first, right? I pulled into my usual spot in the parking lot of my apartment complex and she follow me up to the second floor where I unlocked the door and held it open for her.

She stood awkwardly in the living room while I turned on lights, tossed my keys in the bowl by the door, and locked the door. It was weird doing all that without a woman tearing of my clothes, or me tearing off hers. It’s was the normal sort of one night stand I was used to.

I led her to the bedroom and turned on the light. I looked at her, still seeing her nerves, and asked, “Exactly how new to this are you?”

“I’ve only been with my ex…so pretty new…” She admitted after a moment.

Your first time with your second woman is a lot like the first time with the first woman. You have no idea if only she liked that or that she just put up with this. You have no clue what it’s going to be like. And if you loved the person before you decided to have sex, and then try a one night stand, it’s even stranger, because everything you knew just flew out the window.

I sighed and took a step towards her so there was only a small gap between us. “I’ll guide you through it.” I put a hand on either side of her face and kissed her, and after a moment’s hesitation, she kissed back, and damn was it something else. That kiss alone made me want her naked and underneath me at that moment, but I couldn’t. I had to go slowly. I didn’t want to have her freak out of not want this anymore. Slow and steady wins the race I guess.

Despite the agonizingly slow pace at first, it picked up once she got a little more into it. I didn’t have to wait as long as I feared until I saw those gorgeous green eyes roll back and her back arch off the bed, hear her moan make all sorts of other noises, and feel her nails drag down my back.

I would say we ‘made love’ all night, but we didn’t. Making love is for children and idiots who believe in that sort of thing. We screwed all night. And when we were finally done, I was lying next to her in the large bed, both of us damp with sweat from the night’s activities.

I rolled over and grabbed a pack of cigarettes and my lighter from the nightstand. I slipped one between my lips and lit it before rolling back and offering one to her. Cliché as it may be, sometimes after sex like that, you just need one.

She must’ve felt the same way, because she took one and tucked one end between those perfect lips and leaned forward for me to light it. I held the flame to it until it glowed red and then she pulled away.

“I’m Devon by the way, but you can just call me Dev.” I chuckled at the thought of introducing myself now.

“Sara.” She waited a little bit, and then looked over at me. “Dev?”

“Yeah?” I hoped this wasn’t going to be her asking me out or asking what we were now or something. I hated when a girl didn’t understand what a one night stand was.

“Holy fuck.” She said as her head dropped back onto the pillow.

I chuckled, feeling quite pleased with myself. “I aim to please.”
