Chapter start

" Aaira, what is this, you did not go to college yesterday and now you don't want to go today either." These words are of Avni to Aaira who has come to her room at this time to wake her up for college.

" Please mom, Just one more day, I will definitely go from tomorrow." Aaira says while covering herself with the quilt again seeing which Avni sighs but then walks away leaving her to rest.

As soon as Avni leaves her room, Aaira takes her phone in her hand which was kept under her pillow and she checks the messages received in it, one is from yesterday from Reyansh asking why she didn't come to college ?

So she gets a message from him in the morning, asking if she will come to college today?

Well, Aaira doesn't reply to both of his messages but she definitely thinks about something.

Time passes. Well Reyansh went to college but today again seeing Aaira absent he himself does not attend any class and comes back home, Yesterday he somehow managed to attend the class in her absence but today he did not feel like attending and that's why he came back home.

And after coming home he is just thinking about how to meet her, how to talk to her, because she is not replying to his messages, So now the only way to talk to her is to meet her, he knows that till the time both of them don't meet, she will not talk to him.

And while thinking all this, an idea comes to his mind and without being sure if this idea will work or not, he goes to his mother.

On the other side

Aaira is sitting in her room doing some college work when her phone starts ringing and she sees that it is Ansh's call.

Well, yesterday Ansh came to meet her and the way he requested her to please not punish him by stopping talking to him, so Aaira also does not drag things too much and starts talking to him normally.

And at this time seeing his call, she does not think much but picks it up

" hello " Aaira says after picking up the phone

" Bachha, are you in college?" Ansh asks her

"No, I did not go to college today." Ansh hears this answer from her

" Well then this is a very good thing, if you were in college I would have picked you up from college but now as you are at home, get ready, I am coming there to pick you up, we are going for shopping." says Ansh

" Why shopping?" Aaira asks him

"What do you mean why? It's your brother's wedding, won't you do shopping? And Advaita had to go shopping so she said that she wants to go with you today...so, let me take you both for shopping today, this way we three can spend some good time." Ansh says

Well, Advaita had to do some shopping today too because obviously no matter how much you do wedding shopping, it cannot be completed so when Advaita asked Ansh again today if he would go shopping with her again today? So Ansh thinks why not take Aaira along to brighten her mood as Aaira loves shopping and then with this excuse Aaira will spend a good time not only with him but also with Advaita.

" Sorry bhai, I have some college work to do, I can't go." Aaira says disappointing Ansh

" Aaira, you were always so excited about my wedding, so don't you want to go shopping for that thing? You can do your college work at night." Ansh asks her to which Aaira thinks something

" It is not like that, I am still excited for your wedding but today I have to do some of my college work....and anyway there is still some time left for your wedding, so I can go shopping some other time." says Aaira

And Ansh really feels bad that she is distancing herself from him like this.

If things were the same as before, she would have left her college work and gone shopping with him.

But then before Ansh could say anything further, Aaira speaks

" Ok bhai, I will talk to you later, I have some work." Saying this, Aaira disconnects the call.

And on the other hand, Ansh feels a little disappointed but he knows that there is no fault of her behind her changed behavior, rather it is his and Aarav's mistake.

At the hospital, he leaves his cabin to go to Advaita's place.

even though Aaira refused to go with him for shopping, but he had told Advaita that he would go with her, so now he cannot refuse.

Reyansh comes to his mother who is sitting in the hall reading some magazine

" Mom." Saying this, Reyansh snatches the magazine from his mother's hand and sits next to her

" Mom shopping par chale..." Priyal gets a little shocked at her son's words, is he okay? From which direction has the sun risen today that he has come itself and is asking her to go shopping.

Well, being a mother of just one child, Priyal always wants to take Reyansh with her everywhere so that she doesn't have to go anywhere alone but her son is such an introvert that he doesn't go anywhere with her, how many times she wanted to take him shopping but he never went, saying that he did not like all this.

And today she is shocked because he himself is asking her for shopping.

" Beta, From which direction did the sun rise today? You and shopping?" Priyal asks him to which Reyansh pouts

" Mom, please there is no need to react like this:... Actually, this morning I heard you and Papa talking about some festival of yours coming up, what was its name....Yes, KarvaChauth." He says, remembering the name of this festival of his mother.

" So I thought you might want to go shopping so let's go shopping." Reyansh says to which Priyal smiles.

" No, your dad has already done the shopping for me for this festival...I don't want anything now." Priyal says this to which Reyansh gets sad that his plan flopped.

But at the same time, seeing his this face Priyal, who doesn't find it difficult to understand her son, understands somewhere that it's not just this simple...He's just beating around the bush.

" By the way, will you tell me clearly what you want?" Priyal says to which Reyansh is not surprised that how did his mother know that he wanted to tell her something else

And he also thinks that let's not beat around the bush now.

" I want to meet Aaira." He says making a baby face, on which Priyal smiles.

" Why ? Don't you both meet in college?" asks Priyal

" She hasn't been coming to college for two days so we haven't even talked, So I thought you should go shopping with Avni aunty and tell her that Aaira should also come along and I will go with you, then on this pretext I could meet her." With all his innocence, he tells his mother everything he thinks.

On this Priyal does nothing but smile, she really cannot believe that her son is putting in so much effort just to meet Aaira.

" And how sure were you that Avni would be free and she would come with me for shopping?" she asks him

" You ladies are always free to go shopping." says Reyansh to which he immediately receives a glare from his mother on which he gets little scared.

" Hmm, By the way, this is amazing. Don't know how many times I told you to come shopping with me but you never went and today you are planning so much?" Priyal teases him by saying this to which Reyansh feels nothing but a little embarrassed

" Mom chalo na." He requests again.

" Ok." Priyal says while making him happy.

Priyal and Reyansh reach Khanna house.

And there Avni and Aaira are sitting in the hall and talking to each other, spending their mother-daughter time, only then a smile comes on Avni's face seeing Priyal and Reyansh at the door of the house.

But Aaira gets a little shocked to see Reyansh with his mother.

Avni welcomes both of them into the house and then sitting together, they both talk about their own things during which Priyal tells Avni the reason for her visit to her place.

" Anyway, we have to do shopping for our outfits for Ansh and Advaita's wedding...there is very little time." Priyal says

" Yes that is true, Bhabhi and I are going tomorrow but before that you came up with this idea and right now I can't even ask Bhabhi to come with me today, she has some work, she is not free today." says Avni

And there Reyansh, who is sitting there with his mother, is quietly looking at Aaira who is looking everywhere except him.

Well, Aaira is unable to get up from there and go anywhere, because she has this values that if any guest comes to her house then she does not get up from in front of them and go to her room that too when this guest is none other than her mother's friend who also loves her very much.

So she does not get up from in front of them nor goes to her room, disrespecting Priyal.

" arre avu toh ye bhi theek hai na...kal tu Simran Bhabhi ke saath chali jaana, aaj mere saath chal..." priyal says.

" And Aaira you also come with us bachha, we will do a lot of shopping." Priyal says looking at Aaira

" No aunty I will not go." Aaira says

" Why? And anyway you will be left alone at home without Avni, it is better that you come with us." Priyal says

" No aunty, main akeli nahi hu, daadi hai ghar par." Says Aaira

" Bachha, did you forget, Maa has gone to her friend's house a while ago." Hearing her mother say this, Aaira bites her tongue slightly over her lame excuse

" Bachha, This is very wrong, you don't want to go with me, that's why you are making excuses..." Priyal says sadly

" Aisi baat nahi hai aunty, main wo bas...

" Main wo bas kuch nahi...I am angry at you now, and I will only talk to you if you come shopping with me...." Priyal says and Aaira looks at her and Avni smiles at this drama of her friend

" Bachha chalo, warna ye aise hi drama karti rahegi." Avni says to which Priyal is left with her mouth open and Reyansh suppresses his smile because he too knows how much drama his mother does.

" Avu main drama nahi karti." Priyal says.

" Haan wo toh dikh raha hai." Avni replies back to her

But if this thing of theirs continues, Aaira tells Priyal that ok, she will also go with them. Now even though Reyansh will be with them, she does not show much tantrums nor does she disrespect Priyal when she says her like this for this things because nowadays she is infamous for throwing a lot of tantrums.

" Aaira you sit in the front with Reyansh, I and Avu will sit in the back." Priyal says this to Aaira after coming out of the house, on which Aaira looks at her.

" Priyal, I will tell someone, he will drop us there, Reyansh will have a problem." Avni says so that she can ask a driver to take them to the mall so that Reyansh doesn't have to drive

" Arre, what problem will he have? I had brought my driver son along so that he can serve us today. He drives well." Priyal says on which Reyansh pouts at his mother for over doing. He asked for a help to meet Aaira, in return his mother made him a driver.

But hearing these words of Priyal for Reyansh, Aaira automatically smiles but she suppresses it but this thing of hers cannot be hidden from Reyansh and he shakes his head in disbelief about how happy she felt at his insult.

" Priyal, now, don't say it to him like that." While Priyal insults her son a bit in a joking manner, Avni takes pity on her sweet child Reyansh.

" Mom, if you are done making me your driver, then let's go.." Reyansh who was silent till now says this so that they can reach the mall soon where he can get time with Aaira when their mother is busy shopping.

Further, Aaira sits in the front seat with Reyansh and Avni and Priyal in the back and Reyansh starts the car and heads towards the mall.

Soon they reach the mall where once again Priyal comes to help her son.

" You both kids, go and look at your clothes, I and Avu will look at our clothes." Priyal says to which Aaira looks at Avni

And on this Avni smiles because she understands what Priyal is trying to do, however Priyal has wanted them to be friends since their childhood and somewhere she too wants it but she doesn’t do this type of things as Priyal but today seeing her doing this, Avni too thinks that at least this would be right.

Anyway Avni has noticed that Aaira does not fight with Reyansh like before, so at least now both of them become friends.

" Yes Aaira, this way our time will also be saved." Avni says

" But mom, you select my clothes, right..." says Aaira to which Avni smiles

" Yes, then go and bring as many dresses as you like, I will choose from them." says Avni

" Uff bachha, You have grown up now, free your mother a bit and yes go and buy clothes of Reyansh's choice today, trust me his choice is also very good." Priyal says.

And before Aaira can make another excuse for not staying with Reyansh, Priyal starts leaving from there with Avni.

" Both of you enjoy your shopping, we will meet later." Saying this Priyal leaves them both behind and goes away with Avni.

After they leave, Reyansh who was silent till now turns towards her and Aaira sees him

" Uff, You make so many excuses for not staying with me, but see, God wants to see us together in every way, God helps me so much to see me with you because he also likes our pair." Reyansh tells her with a teasing smile to which she rolls her eyes and starts walking away

" Arre ruko, mujhe bhi to saath lekar chalo." Reyansh says walking fast behind her, on which she doesn't stop

But Reyansh walks quickly towards her and grabs her wrist upon which she turns towards him and without saying anything, she tries to free her hand from his grip due to which his grip on her only tightens.

" Why are you not replying to my messages?" Reyansh asks her to which she doesn’t reply

" Do you have any idea how much I missed you in college yesterday, why are you not coming to college... and why are you not replying to my messages. He says this to which she glares at him

" Leave my hand." she says to which he sighs.

"Okay, if you don't run away then I will leave you..." He says and lets go of her hand to which she looks at him and before she can leave, she stops at Reyansh's words

" Okay listen, I will not disturb you at all, I will not tease you or touch you, Please, you said we will remain friends, then why are you not talking…please can’t two friends do shopping together..." He says to which she looks at him

" I don't trust you." she says because he keeps saying he won't do anything but then goes back to his behavior

And at her words, a smile comes on his face.

" Look, I don't even trust myself in your case because I lose my senses as soon as I see you." He says, to which she glares at him. This is the very thing she doesn't liking about him now.

" But trust me, I will not do anything today...and don't you know me ? our mother's is here, how will I do anything...We'll just do shopping like good friends." he says to which she looks at him.

Well this is also true, the mothers of both of them are here so maybe he will stick to his words and he will not do anything to her like the things he was doing in college.

And then she does not do anything further, but agrees to stay with him.

Aaira is looking at some dresses and Reyansh is standing with her but Reyansh smiles when he sees how confused she is looking at the clothes....she might not know what will look good on her.

" By the way, you know, I read a quote somewhere...." Reyansh says to which Aaira takes her attention away from the clothes and looks at him

" Aap-rupi-bhojan, par-roop-sringaar..."

Reyansh says to which Aaira looks at him confused

" Arthart ( meaning ) : khaana apni pasand ka Khao, par kapde dusre ki pasand ke pehno...Take my help, I will choose your clothes." He says with a smile to which she sighs.

" No thanks, I will do it myself." she says breaking his heart to which he smiles but suddenly gets an idea to do a mischief again

" Mom..." Reyansh says to which Aaira looks to her right but immediately feels a kiss on her left cheek upon which she closes her eyes in irritation. Why did she trust him to stay with him.

She turns towards him angrily, at which he immediately holds his ear.

" Sorry sorry, I will not do anything now." He says but Aaira starts going in the other direction where Reyansh runs after her

" Aaira sorry." He says this while stopping her with her shoulder, to which she turns towards him.

"Sorry." He says while holding both his ears

But on the other hand, Ansh who was present in the same mall with Advaita suddenly sees Aaira and is shocked to see Aaira with Reyansh.

He cannot believe that Aaira is with Reyansh.

She did not come here with him saying that she had some college work to do and here she is with him.

" Look, this is a mall, otherwise I would have done sit-ups to apologize to you, please forgive me." He requests her by holding both his ears and she stands with her hands folded in front of him

And then a mischief comes to her mind as she hears his words

"Do sit-ups." She says, to which his eyes widen.

" Pagal ho, look at the place..." He says to which she glares at him...did he check the place before kissing her ?

But before she could say anything to him, she gets shocked hearing Ansh's voice from her right side.

Both she and Reyansh look to their right and are shocked to see Ansh.

Meanwhile, Ansh comes close to Aaira but not without staring angrily at Reyansh

" You had said that you were busy that's why you didn't come with me, but now I know why you didn't come with me." Ansh says looking at Reyansh on which Aaira sees him

" I did not expect this from you Aaira, even after my refusal you are with him… Ansh says but he is unable to say anything further when Aaira speaks

" Bhai, Why did you come here leaving Bhabhi....see, she is looking for you." Aaira says while looking behind Ansh where she sees Advaita at a little distance who is actually looking here and there, probably searching for Ansh because Ansh has come here without telling her.

" She doesn't like it na when someone disturbs your and her time...And here you are again, paying attention to me." Aaira says which leaves Ansh shocked.

And with this word of hers, Ansh suddenly remembers the incident of the day before yesterday when Advaita, while disconnecting Aaira's phone, used the words that there is no phone call in their time.

Did she hear that ? And is this the reason for her anger towards him ? And that's why she wasn't picking up his calls from that moment onwards.

And there Aaira also chooses not to clarify even when Ansh asks her that she has come here not just with Reyansh but with her mother.

" And bhai, please after this, don't think like Aarav Bhai that I am jealous of your wife that's why I'm saying all this...No, I am not jealous of Bhabhi or her sister Aadhriti, I am happy for all four of you." Aaira says

" And bhai, don't worry about me anymore...Just like you both ( Ansh & Aarav ) have found the love of your life, I may not have found love but I got my friend back who spends time with me." Aaira suddenly speaks the last line while holding Reyansh's hand on which not only Ansh but also Reyansh gets shocked.

Reyansh knows that she is saying this only in front of Ansh otherwise this girl will not even talk to him outside this mall.

And Reyansh also gets shocked to see this side of her as she never talked to Ansh like this but maybe circumstances have forced her to behave like this because she has already heard a lot from Aarav without any fault.

And further after saying all this Aaira herself goes from there on which Reyansh sees Ansh but before he becomes the victim of Ansh's anger, he also goes after Aaira.

And Ansh keeps looking at both of them.

But as soon as both of them disappear from his sight, he feels a hand on his shoulder and he turns back.

" What are you doing here?" Advaita asks this when she finally finds him.

" Nothing, are you done with your shopping?" Ansh asks her while composing himself but Advaita feels something different in his behavior

" Are you okay?" she asks to which Ansh nods.

" haan, mujhe kya hoga..." He says remembering all the things said by Aaira but what hurts him the most is that now he should not worry about her, how can he not worry about her, she is his sister: He thinks this but at the same time seeing Reyansh with her, some thoughts come to his mind, Is this change in her behavior due to her growing closeness with Reyansh?

The rest of the reasons are on one side, but she became friends with Reyansh and for that she talked to him like this?

He will not spare Reyansh for creating this distance between him and his sister. He thinks.
