Chapter start

It is around 12 noon and the scene is of zyz's office which is Advaita's. She is sitting in her cabin there and working on some of her designs.

But her work is interrupted when someone knocks on her cabin door

" May I come in, ma'am? Hearing this Advaita looks up at the door and is surprised to see Ansh in front of her.

A smile comes on her lips after seeing him and she gets up from her chair and on the other side Ansh enters her cabin closing the door behind him.

" You here?" Advaita asks as she did not expect him to be here, this is his first time in her office.

" Why can't I come to my would be wife's office?" Ansh asks while bringing a smile to her face.

Wife? Yes, she will become his wife in a few days and this thought itself is enough to make her happy.

" And what is this, the questions start as soon as I come ? Who welcomes their would-be husband like this?" Ansh expresses his complaint because obviously the Advaita he knows would have welcomed him with a hug but here she's asking question.

Meanwhile, Advaita smiles at his complaint and is about to hug him but stops thinking something, thinking of teasing him a bit, because obviously she too has many complaints against him.

" I welcome like this only, what kind of welcome did you expect?" She says but her eyes widen slightly when she sees him move closer to her, at which she steps back, and then she takes a step back till her back touches the table and Ansh traps her between himself and her work table.

" Now why are you throwing tantrums again today? Why are you behaving as if you are angry? Have I done something?" Ansh asks because if there was no issue she would have given him a tight hug by now, but here he has to ask her for this thing and still she's not hugging him.

" If you don't remember, let me remind you, I am still angry with you for what you did, you ignored me for a week, have you forgotten?" She says, to which his mouth drops, he had already received her apology for that things, now that topic again?

" I did get forgiveness for that thing, right ?" Ansh asks

"When ? When did you say sorry?" she asks

" I did not say sorry but I did kiss you and obviously you happily reciprocated so that means you forgave me." She gets shocked at his blunt way of speaking...how could he say these words without hesitation which made her feel little shy.

But then she composes herself.

" Huh, no, You haven't received an apology yet so apologize again properly..." she says

"And what if I don't apologize?" asks Ansh

" Then stay away from me." Saying this, Advaita pushes him back on his chest and gets out of his cage and goes back to sit on her chair.

" If you have come to meet me for formality then please sit down..." Advaita teases him further to which he shakes his head in disbelief, girls are strange, this thought comes to his mind.

" You girls are really strange, don't know how many times you make me say sorry for one mistake and don't know for how long you remember old things." Ansh says while sitting on the chair in front of her on which she suppresses her smile.

" These are the things I don't like....you girls are weird." These words come out of his mouth when he again has some difficulty in understanding girls at which Advaita glares at him.

But then suddenly she remembers something and thinks: Both of them have not talked about this till date, what was the reason behind Ansh not liking girls.

" Can I ask you something?" Advaita says to which Ansh looks at her but then nods yes.

"You won't get angry, right?" She asks

" You have taken over this department of mine." He says to which she looks at him

" I will not get angry, ask me what you want to ask?" Ansh says

" When talks of our marriage started, you once said that you don't like girls: any specific reason for that? Did any girl break your heart?" She says to which he looks at her but then a small smile comes to his lips

" There is no such thing, there has never been a girl in my life." He makes it clear to her

" Then what is the reason for not liking girls? And leave aside marriage, not even making friends, there must be some reason behind this?" she asks to which he smiles and then chooses to tell the truth

" There was a reason, but now when I think about that reason I laugh at myself, it was a very silly reason." He says to which she looks at him confused.

" Why? What was the reason? And why are you not saying it clearly at once..." she says

" I will tell you only when there's something to tell...That reason was very childish but after you came into my life, I felt I should give myself a chance." He says to which she sees him

" I want to know that childish reason too...so stop beating around the bush and tell me the reason." she says to which he looks at her

" ok then listen....I had a friend in school, my very good friend, we were together from the beginning of school till class 6 but one day she suddenly stopped coming to school and then I came to know from our class teacher that she had changed school...I was very hurt by this because we were good friends and if she was going to change school, she could have told me and even though we were small, we didn't have our own phones but we would exchange our parents' numbers so we could stay connected because we were really good friends, we spent most of our school time together, she liked spending time with me and I liked her too but she did not feel necessary to tell me all this, she left me without telling me."

Ansh tells all this to her but Advaita does not like his last line that they both like each other and suddenly Ansh understands the changed expression on her face.

" Hey, I didn't mean to make you feel bad....I'm just telling you because you asked..." he says to which she looks at him

" Then what happened next?" she asks

" Nothing. I just felt bad about what she did and since then I have become annoyed with girls' friendship. I felt I was not worthy of her so she didn't bother to tell me before changing her school, She left me. She was with me in school only as long as she needed to and I don't like such selfish people who just use people. And because of her, I never trusted any girl's friendship again." says Ansh

" But my this thinking about girls changed after I met you.

At first I thought you too would be the kind of girl who would leave me when you no longer needs me, but no, you turned out to be different." he says to which she just sees him silently

" The way I treated you, any girl would have given up and left me, but you have not left me till now, strange." He says slightly chuckling.

" But yes, for the future I would just like to tell you this...if ever you change your mind, or get bored of me, then inform me and then leave me, not without telling me." There is a request hidden in his line to which she looks at.

" Well I am never going to leave you, but yes, how can I trust you, I don't know when you will leave me again." she says

" I will never leave you." he says looking at her with pure love which make her happy.

" Then how can I leave you ? trust me, I will never break your trust nor your heart." She says this to which he smiles and then Advaita gets up from her place and comes closer to him to which he also gets up from the chair.

Both of them stand facing each other, their eyes meet but without saying anything, Advaita hugs him to which he hugs her back.

" Hmm, By the way if you want my forgiveness then you have to give me something." she says while hugging him

" What do you want ?" he asks, to which she breaks away from him.

" Your time ? It's been so long since you came back but we haven't had a good day yet, and I didn't want to disturb you either that's why I never said but now as you have come here yourself I want all of your time today, I have to do some shopping for our wedding...So first we will go shopping and then we will decide about the rest later....Okay?" she says to which he smiles.

" Ok." is all he says to which she smiles.

" Uff, I had so longed to find someone who would say ok to everything I say, now I have you." She says to which he smiles and she again hugs him happily.

" chal bahut time ho gya hai kahin chalte hai..." Aarav tells Reyansh who is sitting with him in the canteen at this time.

" Kahan chalna hai..." Reyansh asks him.

" Anywhere where the four of us can have a good time." says Aarav

" The four of us?" asks Reyansh

" Arre Aadhiriti aur Aaira bhi saath chalenge na...Tu jaa aur Aaira ko lekar aa, main aadhriti ko puchhkar aata hu." Aarav says.

" If you are going then you bring Aaira along too because she will not come with me." Reyansh says thinking something, because ever since he started flirting with her again, she has started staying away from him.

And even now, don't know where she is hiding from him in their free time, because obviously if he knew where she was, he would be right there with her, teasing her with his mischievous antics.

But when Reyansh couldn't find her in the college and met Aarav on the way, both of them came to the canteen together.

" Why won't she come with you? Did you two have a fight again?" Aarav asks

" No, we haven't had a fight but if I tell her let's go somewhere she will say "Papa is coming to pick me up." But if you ask her, she probably won't make any such excuse." Reyansh says, because she gives him the same excuse every time he asks her to go somewhere.

" Ok, no problem, I will bring both of them, you wait." Aarav says and goes to get them both.

And as Reyansh could not find Aira in the college, Aarav also could not find her anywhere and that's why without wasting much time Aarav calls Aira directly and asks her to come to the college parking area where his and Reyansh's bike is parked and then he himself reaches there with Aadhriti.

" She didn't come?" Seeing Aarav coming with only Aadhriti, Reyansh questions him but before Aarav can answer, everyone hears Aaira's voice.

" Bhai aapne mujhe yehaan kyon bulaaya ?" Aaira asks looking at Aarav, completely ignoring Reyansh at whom he pouts slightly because he knows that she is deliberately not looking at him now.

" kyonki hum log kahin ghumne jaa rahe hai, to tu bhi chal humare saath." Aarav says to which she looks at him thinking something

" No bhai, I have some work in college, I can't go..." says Aaira

" Classes are over, what do you have to do now?" Reyansh immediately asks her to which she glares at him but doesn't answer him.

" Arre yaar chal na, Anyway, I have only a few days left in college, let's go somewhere today." Aarav tells Aaira again to which she looks at him.

Well, she has many reasons for not going with them but at the same time she doesn't feel good about saying no to Aarav again so she thinks it's okay.

" Ok but bhai how will we all go?" she asks and at first Aarav and Reyansh smile that finally she's going

" Obviously we have a bike so we will go by bike, you and Reyansh and me and Aadhriti." Aarav says while holding Aadhriti's hand to which Aaira looks at them but then she looks at Reyansh, who is looking at her with a teasing smile is somehow giving her an indication that where will you go now to escape from me.

And it is not difficult for Aaira to understand this mischievous smile on his face, but no, she will not go with him, that too on a bike, not at all where the two would be close to each other.

But then after thinking something she looks at Aarav and asks with some hesitation

" Bhai, can't I come with you, Aadhriti will go with Reyansh." says Aaira to which the smile on Reyansh's face fades. this girl ? He shook his head in disbelief

But at the same time, the smile disappears from Aarav's face on hearing this word, but after thinking about something, he does not react.

" Aaira, please go with Reyansh...now everything is fine between you two, so what problem do you have in going with him?" Aarav asks her to which she looks at him.

Well she is not having a problem with Reyansh but with his changed behavior, she doesn't want to be close to him where she will only hurt him in return of his love.

Because she really doesn't want to give him any hope on his efforts even by mistake. Only her aloof behavior will make him move on quickly.

" Bhai, I am not comfortable with him, but it's ok if you have any problem in sending Aadhriti with him, you guys can go." She says and turns to leave from there but seeing her like this Aarav sighs.

" Aaira please don't spoil things and the mood." Aaira's steps stop at Aarav's words and she looks at him

" That night you did not feel any discomfort in going with Reyansh, then what happened today?" Aarav asks

" Nothing has happened bhai.

Anyway if you have to question me now on why I am comfortable or not, then it's ok." She says to which Aarav sees her

" It's a different matter If you were my old Aarav bhai you wouldn't have questioned why I was uncomfortable with him, you would have straight away taken me with you." She says not able to control herself today somewhere after seeing Aarav changed behavior.

And after saying thi she turns back again to go away from there but Aarav stops her again.

" There is a limit to everything Aaira..." Hearing his words Aaira turns towards him

" Today you have really crossed the limit of your jealousy, You are not uncomfortable with Reyansh but you are uncomfortable with me and Adhiriti being together.....no ?" Aaira gets shocked at his words and so does Reyansh as to how this topic came up between them all of sudden...Why would Aaira be jealous of them both being together? Reyansh thinks.

" And that is why when you did not get anything else today, you said that my behavior has changed...why should I not change my behavior for you when you have changed." Aarav says to which Aaira looks at him

" Have I changed?" Aaira asks in disbelief

" Yes, but it's ok, it was my mistake, I should have asked you to come with us because somewhere I knew, You will do something like this after seeing me and Aadhriti. You only know how to spoil everyone's mood along with your own."

Aarav says but somewhere today is the end for Aaira because he repeatedly tells her that she is jealous of Aadhriti.

But before he can say anything, Reyansh silences Aarav

"Aarav, enough. Stop all this and It's a matter of 15 minutes, instead of arguing like this it is better you take her with you, I and Aadhriti will come along." Reyansh says calmly.

" No, and why should I stop, why doesn't she stop ? everyone was in such a good mood which she ruined...What would have been the harm if she had gone with you? But no, she had to separate me and Aadhrithi..." he says on which Aaira sees him and then Aadhriti who's silently looking at her

" But Aaira, listen to one thing carefully, I am not Ansh bhai, who will fulfill your stubbornness, I will not bow down to any of your useless stubbornness.

You don't want to go with us, don't go." He says and Aaira sees him silently

" Anyway, you have started doing too much now, No one says anything to you, so you think that everyone will fulfill your wishes, but this will not happen with me because don't forget that you are just my cousin and for me Aadhriti's comfort comes before your comfort, She too won't be comfortable going with Reyansh, I know that." Aarav says

But on hearing his words not only Aaira but Reyansh also gets shocked, she is just his cousin?

Well Aaira had really forgotten this thing that they're cousin but today his words really hurt her but after listening to his words, the only thought that comes to her mind is that Ansh never does this to her, and he is right, he is not Ansh.

" Thank you bhai for reminding me that I am just your cousin..." says Aaira and Aarav gets shocked when he hears her words and realizes what he said in anger but before he could say sorry to her for this, Aaira continues

" And you are right, you are not Ansh Bhai, because there is no one like him, he would never do to me what you did to me today." She says this and without saying anything further she leaves from there

And here after she leaves, Reyansh looks at Aarav.

" Today you have really crossed the limits, I did not expect this from you, you have really changed..." Reyansh expresses his disappointment

" Arre yaar wo zidd hi aisi karti hai, main kya karta...and whatever I was doing, I was doing it for you.

I thought she would go with you and you would get to spend some time with her." Aarav says to which Reyansh shakes his head in disbelief

" You don't need to tell me whether you did all this for me or for whom..." says Reyansh looking at Aadhriti

" And even if you did this for me, I fold my hands before you, if you want to do something for me by hurting her, then don't do it." Reyansh says to which Aarav looks at him

" It was just a matter of 15 minutes, If you take her with you, it wouldn't do any harm and you know she would not disturb you both after reaching there anyway, because she has that much understanding, but maybe now you don't see the good qualities in your sister because for you she is no longer your sister, she is just a cousin." He says this on which Aarav starts regretting his behavior somewhere.

And Reyansh doesn't stop there but goes to Aaira.

And there after Reyansh leaves, Aarav sees Aadhriti who is not looking at him in a good mood, Well, she also feels bad that all this happened because of her and she also does not understand why Aaira dislikes her so much.

And before Aarav could say anything to her, she too leaves from there, upon which Aarav sighs.

On the other hand, hurt by Aarav, Aaira as usual calls Ansh to tell him what Aarav has done to her

" Haan Aaira bolo..." Ansh says from the other side of the phone who is currently in the shopping mall with Advaita. Advaita is looking at some dresses when he gets a call from Aaira.

" Bhai... Aaira speaks while crying and wipes her tears

" Aaira....hello...." Ansh says it again as he can't hear Aaira's voice clearly

" Bhai...aapko pta hai aarav bhai ne..." Aaira says it again but from there Ansh again tells her that he cannot hear her voice but Aaira can hear his voice clearly.

But suddenly Aaira's heart aches again when she hears Advaita's voice from the other side

" In our time, no phone calls." When Advaita suddenly sees Ansh on the phone, she snatches the phone right from his ear and says these words and after saying that she disconnects the call without looking at the screen.

But Aaira hears this and gets more saddened when the phone gets disconnected.

On the other hand, in the mall, Ansh sighs at Advaita's actions

"What have you done?" says Ansh

" That's called hanging up the phone, and look, just because I understand things doesn't mean I understand things every time...And I am warning you, during our time, no phone calls, I mean none, your full attention should be on me." Advaita says this on which he sighs because he does not like this thing somewhere because this call was of none other than Aaira which she disconnected.

" This is no one else's call but Aaira's call." Ansh says this to which Advaita gets slightly shocked.

" What? I'm sorry, please call her back..." she says while handing back his phone as she knows what Aaira means to him.

But on hearing this, Ansh also remembers her previous words that he should not use the phone when he is with her and his attention should be on her and obviously this demand of her is also not wrong.

" It's ok, there was some network issue anyway, I couldn't hear her voice, I will talk to her later....For now, you have my full attention and time, happy?" He says it but somewhere Advaita feels after looking at him that he did not like her action.

Meanwhile in college, Aaira is crying sitting on a bench in the ground, her tears are not stopping as she remembers Aarav's words and today she feels even worse because he spoke to her like that in front of Aadhriti.

If he had spoken to her like this at home, she probably wouldn't have felt so bad, but today he spoke to her like this not only in front of Aadhriti but also in front of Reyansh.

She spoils everyone's mood. She is stubborn and what not. Her brother did not see any of these bad qualities in her earlier but now he is not her brother, he has become her cousin.

She starts crying remembering all this and also Ansh's behavior...Advaita disconnects her call and he doesn't even call her back so It is evident that now for him too, she is not as important to him as she was before, if she had been then perhaps he would have called her back.

And while she was thinking all this, she suddenly feels the presence of Reyansh next to her to which she turns on the bench showing her back to him and Reyansh looks at her like this

" Aaira please calm down, don't cry like this." He says this because at that moment he doesn't know what to say that will make her feel better.

And hearing his words Aaira does not say anything and is about to get up and leave from there but Reyansh stops her by holding her wrist but Aaira immediately pulls her hand away from his grip

" Stay away from me, I don't need anyone's sympathy.....Let me be the way I am and why have you come to me...I am annoying, you also told me all this earlier then why have you come to me now....go away from here or else I will spoil your mood too." She says and before Reyansh can say anything, she leaves from there.

And Reyansh watches her go and he feels very bad for her but he knows at the same time that whatever he is feeling at this time, perhaps no words of his can make her feel good about it.

He knows that somewhere he is also at fault in all this, if he had not bothered her with his mischievous act then she would have gone with him today and Aarav would not have been angry with her.

But somewhere Reyansh could not understand what had happened to Aarav suddenly, whatever the reason was, he should not have behaved like this with Aaira.

It is not wrong to love but for the sake of that love, you change yourself for your loved ones, this is not wisdom.
