Chapter 29
Learning to Love
âNo! I-I canât.â Priya said.
âIt wonât hurt just to look around. Â Tell Aman you went lingerie shopping. It should be enough to get him a little excited.â Neha suggested.
âBut...I canât wear things like that.â Priya countered.
âYou think you canât, but one day youâre going to want to get sexy for your husband, or he may want you to get sexy for him.You arenât going to lose anything by just looking around. Â Iâll ask Payal to tag along if youâre so uncomfortable.â Neha replied.
âNo! Payal canât come. Sheâs not even married.â Priya exclaimed, remembering how excited Payal had been about sun dresses and jeans. Â If she liked something in a lingerie store, then Priya wouldnât know what to do.
âOkay,â Neha giggled. âI wonât call Payal. This is a shopping trip only for married women.â
âOkay,â Priya said unsurely. âIâll just go and change and weâll leave.â She said, rushing upstairs.
âNo no no. I canât wear something like that.â Priya said as Neha held up a transparent red teddy that only hid what needed to be hidden.
âWhat about this? Itâs lacey.â Neha said, moving onto something different.
âI donât know.â Priya said.
âMaybe Iâll just get this for myself. I know Nikhil will love it.â Nehaâs face lit up at the thought of showing off for her husband.
âA corset is perfect! It provides some coverage, so you wonât be as uncomfortable.â Neha suggested.
âTheyâre restricting, arenât they?â Pria asked.
âPriya, what do you plan on doing that youâre so worried about restrictions?â Neha asked suspiciously.
Priya blushed and looked down.
âNothing.â she said quietly.
âJust kidding! A silk chemise is as modest as youâre going to get.â Neha said.
Neha and Priya spent another hour or so shopping. Â Priya agreed to get a silk chemise but wasnât sure if sheâd wear it. Â Neha also bought a few more things for Priya when she wasnât looking. Â She knew that Priya would thank her one day. Â She just hoped everything fit right.
âSo when is Aman going see you in this?â Neha asked once they got back to Amanâs mansion.
âI donât know.â Priya replied.
âPriya, stop being so reluctant. Â Youâre a married woman.â Neha said.
Priya didnât have an answer. Â She knew Neha was right. Â Aman had told her time and again that eventually sheâd have to fulfill her duties as his wife. Â Heâd even directly expressed his desires to consummate their marriage. Â Priya just couldnât, not yet.
âAman was so sweet this morning.â Priya said absent mindedly.
âIdea! Go have lunch with him at his office! Heâd be glad that you thought of him.â Neha suggested.
âThatâs actually a really good idea! Do you think heâd like that?â Priya replied.
âOf course! Go, go! Iâll see you later.â Neha stood to leave.
Priya bid Neha goodbye and called the limo driver to take her to Amanâs office. Â She decided that she wouldnât call to tell him she was coming down. Â She wanted to surprise him and hope it would be a pleasant surprise.
âSir, there is a woman downstairs waiting to meet you. Â She wonât give her name, but said itâs urgent and youâll want to see her.â Amanâs secretary announced.
âOkay, send her in.â Aman said, wondering who it could be.
âAman?â A woman, clad in a red sari entered Amanâs office. Â She walked inside quietly and closed and locked the door behind her.
âWhat are you doing here?â Aman asked. Â He swiftly stood up from his his chair.
âI needed to see you.â She replied.
âYou need to leave, Tamana. Â I donât want to see you.â Aman said sternly.
âYou donât want to see me? Did your wife find out?â Tamana asked.
âNo, I just canât do this anymore.â Aman said, frustrated.
âSo you just used me for one night? What about my needs?â Tamana spat angrily.
âUsed you? You wanted it just as much as I did.â Aman countered.
Tamana slammed her lips to his, pushing him up against the wall.  She could feel Aman trying to push her away but she tightened her grip on him.  Aman  roughly pushed her away.  She quickly pulled off the drape of her sari and began to undo her blouse.
âWhat the hell are you doing?â Aman shouted angrily.
âShowing you how much you want me.â replied Tamana breathlessly.
âStop it, Tamana. Get out!â Aman said.
Tamana stomped over to Amanâs desk and ran her hands over it, making sure everything spilled off the desk. Â Amanâs brows furrowed. Â She was making a mess.
âDidnât you ever want to do it on your desk, in your office?â Tamana asked seductively. Â She let her blouse drop to the floor. Â Aman averted his eyes. Â He turned away before speaking to her again.
âNo and you need to leave.â he answered. Â His father had always taught him to never mix business with pleasure. Â Aman had never brought any of the past women in his life to his office. Â If any of them came to see him, they never made it passed the lobby. Â Priya was the first one he ever allowed to enter his office.
âYou know youâve always wanted to. Every man wants this.â Tamana said. Â She sounded closer like she was standing right behind him. Â Aman felt her arms circle his waist from behind. Â He turned around and easily unclenched himself from her grasp. Â Tamana was ready for him though. She kissed him again. Â Aman groaned half in frustration and half in pleasure.
âTamana,â he said, pulling away from her. Â âWe canât.â
âWhy canât we? Whoâs going to stop us?â replied Tamana.
The phone that was on Amanâs desk before Tamana cleared it began to ring. Â Aman didnât make a move to answer it, fearing that Tamana would cause a scene and his secretary would hear it over the phone.
âNo, this is wrong.â Aman replied, determined to stand his ground. Â He knew he couldnât cheat on Priya again. She didnât deserve this, and he couldnât handle the guilt.
Tamana grabbed Amanâs hand and pressed it to her chest.
âSee how fast my heart is beating? Â See what youâre doing to me?â Tamana said.
There was a knock on the door. In one swift movement, Aman took Tamanaâs discarded blouse, shoved it in her hand, and pushed her into the closet in his office.
âDonât say a word.â he warned before slamming the door closed.
His office door opened.
âPriya? What are you doing here?â Aman was surprised to see his wife arrive unannounced at his office.
âSurpriseâ¦â Priya said unsurely.  Aman moves aside so she could come inside.
âCome in,â he told her.
âWhat happened here?â Priya said, eyeing the mess around Amanâs desk. Â All the contents that were once on it were spilled all over the floor.
âI...um...A deal didnât work out, and I...uh...couldnât control my temper.â Aman lied.
Priya looked at him concerned. Â She didnât think that Amanâs temper was this bad.
âItâs fine though. I have bigger things planned.â Aman covered. Â âSo what brings you here?â
âI thought maybe we could go out to lunch.âPriya admitted quietly.
Aman smiled, but it quickly disappeared when he remembered Tamana hiding in the closet.
âI canât. Iâm swamped with work.â Aman said even though he knew he had plenty of time.
Priya looked visibly disappointed. Â She tried covering it up with a smile, but Aman could tell she wasnât happy.
âOkay, itâs fine. Iâll just see you at home then.â Priya turned to leave.
âPriya,â Aman stopped her. Â There was a light thud that came from the closet. Â Aman automatically turned towards the closet door. Â Another thud, this time louder, came from the closet.
âWhat was that?â Priya asked.
âProbably just somethings falling over.â Aman said quickly. Â He knew he needed to get Priya out of his office. Â Tamana was making too much noise. Â He was afraid Priya would grow suspicious. Â Plus he needed to discuss something with her that he didnât want Tamana to eavesdrop in on. Â âCome with me.â he said, leading her out the door.
âHiten? Are you in here?â Â Aman walked into Hitenâs office without knocking. Â Once he was sure no one was there, he pulled Priya inside and closed the door.
âThank you for making the effort to come all the down here. Iâd love to have lunch with you.â Aman said.
âBut you said you have too much work.â Priya pointed out.
âNot enough to keep me away from you.â Aman smirked.
Priya couldnât help but blush. Â Aman remembered how heâd vowed to himself to treat Priya like a queen. Â If she wanted to have lunch with him, then he would make it happen. Â He just needed to get Tamana the hell out of his office closet.
âI just need an hour.â Aman said. It wasnât true. He only needed a few minutes to kick Tamana out of his office, but he needed to make sure Priya wouldnât want to hang around and wait for him.
âAn hour? Â Where should I wait?â Priya asked.
âGo out and do something. Â Weâre basically downtown. Â You can go shopping. Â There are tons of boutiques in walking distance.â Aman suggested, silently hoping Priya agrees to leave.
Priya wasnât too keen on the idea going shopping again but it beat just waiting around doing nothing in Amanâs office.
âOkay, Iâll find something to do.â Priya said.
âIâm sorry for making you wait.â Aman said.
âItâs okay. I guess next time, Iâll know to call first.â Priya replied.
âNo, I loved the surprise. Â You should do it more often.â Aman smiled. Â He appreciated the gesture and wouldnât mind going out with Priya more often, just as long as Tamana wasnât around.
Priya thought back to what Neha had said and now realized the she knew what she was talking about. Â She was ecstatic that Aman was happy that sheâd surprised him.
"Aman, I..." Priya began.
"What is it, Priya?" Aman asked.
"I just like the way we are right now." Priya admitted.
"I'm glad, really I am." Aman said. Â He couldn't agree with her. Â He knew that he wanted to be more intimate with her, but he was happy that she liked where they were in their relationship.
Once Priya left, and Aman made sure she had completely left the premises, Aman stalked back to his office to find Tamana sitting in his chair behind his desk.
âDid you have fun with your wife?â she asked spitefully as he entered.
âItâs none of your business what I do with my wife.â Aman replied.
Tamana stood up and walked closer to him. Â She was dangerously close.
âWe both know that she wonât let you do much.â she hissed into his ear.
âGet out!â Aman exploded.
âAman, I was going over...what the hell?â Hiten opened the door and had walk into Amanâs office. Â Hiten and Aman never thought it necessary to knock when entering each otherâs offices. Â Hiten also followed the whole âdonât mix business with pleasureâ rule, so there was never any threat of walking in on an awkward situation...until now.
âIâ¦â Aman was a loss for words.
âIs this the girl fromâ¦â Hiten trailed off.
âHiten, I didnâtâ¦â Aman started.  Hiten didnât wait to hear the rest. He walked out of Amanâs office.
âYou need to leave now or Iâll call security.â Aman said to Tamana.
âYouâre going to regret this!â Tamana shouted before stomping out the door and towards the elevators.
Aman rushed to Hitenâs office.
âHiten, itâs not what you think. She just showed up. I didnât call her here, and I sure as hell didnât let anything happen.â Aman tried to explain.
âYouâre an idiot.â Hiten stated.
âHiten, Iâ¦â Aman tried to reply.
âNo! Listen, this is too much! You need to either stop having an affair or come clean. Â Bhabhi doesnât deserve this and you know it.â Hiten said seriously.
âItâs not an affair. It was one time, and it will never happen again.â Aman replied. Â âWhen Priya came by, I almost lost it.â
âBhabhi was here?â Hiten asked, incredulously.
âYeah. She stopped by to surprise me.â Aman said.
âDamn! I bet you were surprised!â Hiten commented.
âYeah but it was a nice surprise.  Weâre having lunch in about half an hour.â Aman told  him.
âBhabhi is so sweet. She cares about you so much, and what youâre doing to her isnât cool.â Hiten said.
âI know, and Iâm trying to make up for it.â Aman said.
âYou can try, but if she ever finds out, all hell will break loose.â Hiten warned.
Aman knew Hiten was right. He needed to try his best to keep Priya happy no matter what.
Aman ended up calling Priya earlier than expected. Â He had his chauffeur bring Priya to a posh, restaurant near his office.
âSo what did you do all day?â Aman asked, trying to make some conversation after they had order.
âI went shopping with Neha,â Priya replied.
âDamn! All you women ever do is go shopping.â Aman commented jokingly, âWhat did you buy?â He casually took a sip of wine.
Priya blushed.
âLingerie.â She admitted quietly.
Aman almost choked on his wine. Â Did she just say lingerie?
âYou mean you bought lingerie? You?â Aman couldnât believe this.
Priya nodded.
âWhat kind?â Aman was genuinely curious.
âA silk, um, chemise, I think Neha called it.â Priya answered.
Aman just stared at her.
âWhat?â Priya asked, looking down.
âI just canât imagine you in lingerie.â Aman said.
Priya blushed at the thought of Aman trying to imagine her wearing sexy lingerie.
âSo,â Aman said. Â âwhen can I see you in it?â
It was Priyaâs turn to choke on her drink. Â There was no way she was going to wear any type of lingerie in front of Aman!
Damn Tamana! Always showing up! Hiten always seems to catch them in actionâ¦
Priya in lingerie? Will it happen? Aman sure hopes so! Hahahaa tell me what you thought of the chapter. it was kind of a filler but whatevs.
