Lucifer hadn't said anymore word about Matthew. Though he had allowed him to stay in the mansion.

Lucifer was standing at the balcony of his office and watching Ivy swinging as Matthew was pushing her. Eliza and Micah were secretly spying on both of them while hiding behind the nearest wall.

Twins Denver and Alessio were out of the mansion due to some work.

Lucifer smiled softly as he saw how Ivy was laughing and enjoying her time with Matthew.

Just yesterday, Lombardi family excluding Seth arrived to meet Ivy. Her stepbrothers really didn't like Matthew and Cade was the one mostly unimpressed but he surprisingly just scowled.

"Ivy looks so happy." Lucifer said, his tone filled with gentleness.

Valentino who just entered in his office just smiled and glanced outside too. He nodded but few seconds later, he sighed and looked towards Lucifer.

"Dad. When are you planning on telling her about that?" His voice turned serious.

Lucifer ignored his question while shutting the window. He moved towards his chair and sat down.

"If she find out by herself, it will break her. Please consider your decision again dad."

"That's why I don't intend on telling her anything. Let her enjoy her time for now." Lucifer said sternly while looking straight in his son's eyes.

"You all took this news well but I know that Ivy can't. It will pain her and seeing her pain, it will pain me too. I have only few days left and in between these days, I just want to see Ivy happily living her life." Lucifer said while holding his arm that suddenly started to pulsated with raw pain.

"Dad!" Valentino rushed towards him.

"Promise me that you won't say a word to her." Lucifer gritted his teeth as the pain only intensified with such force that it made tears to fell down his eyes.

"I won't dad." Valentino muttered slowly while silently cursing that day.

It was like a normal day in Santiago's family household. Ivy was going to return by the next month and every member was longing to see her again in person.

But suddenly they were attacked by one of their old rivals. The family took the attack well but they weren't careful enough. It all lead to Lucifer somehow getting shot in his arm by a poisonous bullet.

There was no cure of this slow poison. It was confirmed by the medics that he will lose his life by upcoming two months. One month and one week was already gone with the blink of eye.

The poison had inflicted on his body badly. Starting from his arm, it had easily spread all over his chest.

"Papa!" Lucifer snapped out from his daze when the door of his office was slammed open and Ivy rushed inside with a mischievous grin covering her lips.

"What is it?" Lucifer asked, while hiding his pain under the smiling facade.

Ivy looked at him and frowned in confusion.

"Are you ok papa?" She moved towards him while glancing at Valentino who was staring at the side.

"Yes. I am ok. Do you need anything?" Lucifer looked at her with confusion covering his face.

"Umm are you sure papa? Why does it look like you were crying?" Ivy mumbled but Lucifer heard her clear.

"Crying huh? Tch." He chuckled, waving her off.

Ivy giggled back too.

"Ok tell me what do you need? I need to start my business meeting." Lucifer raised his brow with a questionable look on his face.

"Oh well you see, I and Matthew were thinking about going on a shopping trip. So I just need your permission."

Lucifer smiled with a small shake of his head and pulled his credit card out.

"Here you go. Enjoy and no funny business." Ivy blushed at his words and grabbed it while mumbling a small thanks under her breath.

Ivy was about to spun on her feet but stopped at Valentino's words.

"Eliza will also accompany you both."

Ivy sighed and looked at him with a annoyed look on her face.

"But why Tony?"

"Safety reasons." His only reply.

Ivy resisted the urge to stomp her feet as she walked out from the office.
