CHAPTER 51
CEO
Chapter 51
Zoe was greatly surprised, left only with anger and disappointment. At that moment, Nash emerged from the hospital room and spotted Zoe with Nina. He politely called out, âAunt Zoe.â
âDonât call me that!â Zoeâs temper flared as she launched into a tirade against Nash. âDo you still see me as your aunt? How could you not discuss. something as significant as divorcing Nina with me? Have you forgotten Grandpaâs advice to take care of Nina? Is this how you take care of her? Nash, Iâve watched you grow up. How could I not know youâre so irresponsible, wanting a divorce? Youâre completely disregarding the marital bond for this mistress pretending to be sick in bed!â
âZoe, mind your words. What mistress? What irresponsibility? Can you not drag this into the conversation?â It was the first time Sally stood up to Zoe upon hearing her harsh words. âIf Nash wants a divorce, itâs their business. What does it have to do with you? Youâre just using your seniority to reprimand my son like this!â
Nina hadnât expected this outcome, causing them to quarrel. She hurried over to try and stop Zoe, not wanting people to see a joke.
But it wasnât just about their divorce; it was about Zoe having a dislike for Sally, disdainfully sneering, âIâm talking to my nephew. What business is it of yours, Sally? What right do you have to speak to me? âZoe, youâre going too far!â Sally retorted.
Zoe didnât like Sally. Sally didnât like Zoe. Whenever they met, they exchanged few words, akin to strangers.
Zoe looked down on Sally, speaking sharply as she approached, âItâs me advising you not to go too far! As a mother, your contribution to Nash is evident. I need not say more. Here, everyoneâs words carry weight, except for you, Sally. Iâm rebuking my nephew, and you have no business interfering!â
Nashâs childhood, Sally hadnât been much involved. She knew she was in the wrong but wasnât willing to give in. âNash, just look at your aunt, daring to scold me like this. What kind of example is she setting? Speak up. This family isnât just hers!â
As they argued vehemently, Nash furrowed his brow and interjected coldly, âI didnât agree to divorce. This marriage isnât ending.â
Their dispute fell into silence at Nashâs declaration.
Zoe couldnât grasp the situation. âWhat do you mean?â she asked.
Sally also inquired, âNash, you donât want a divorce?â
At this point, Nina intervened, âI initiated it.â
They couldnât imagine that Nina would be the one to bring up divorce
first. Zoe pursed her lips, unable accept it even if it was Ninaâs idea.
âNo, I donât agree!â
Nina hadnât anticipated things escalating to this point, disappointing Zoe in the process. âZoeâ¦â
Zoe didnât want to hear it, turning to Nash. âDeal with your wife. Make her change her mind!â
Zoe didnât blame Nina; as a woman, she could empathize.
They had been married for so long, yet Nash
showed her no warmth or affection. Even the

coldest stone should have warmed up by now but her nephew had sense of compassion. No wonder Nina
was disappointed.
Zoe wouldnât press Nina further because she could tell that Nina
cared deeply for Nash. The monet
one cared, the more disappointment they felt.
As the tension eased, Zoe simmered down while Sally went to tend to Mirandaâs needs.
âYouâve told Zoe?â Nash asked Nina.
