CHAPTER 177
CEO
She turned off the car engine and waited for Miranda to approach.
Miranda, holding the food she brought, smirked coldly. âWhy didnât you come inside? Feeling uncomfortable seeing Nash and me chatting?â
Nina turned to face Miranda. âIs there something you need?â she asked, meeting Mirandaâs gaze as she approached.
âYou havenât answered my question yet,â Miranda replied.
Nina withdrew her gaze and calmly stated, âYou know, thereâs this feeling of pretending to have something when you actually have nothing. The more you flaunt, the less you gain.â She knew Miranda was trying to mock her, probably just to flaunt in front of her.
Mirandaâs expression turned cold, clearly disliking Ninaâs composed demeanor.
âYouâre pretending to be unaffected, but deep down, youâre hurting. No matter how far apart Nash and I are, he still has a place for me in his heart.
âYou know very well that he established the entertainment company for me. When I expressed my interest in acting, he immediately arranged the best roles for me. Thatâs the best proof of his feelings for me. As for you, Nina, youâre just a discarded pawn in the end. Nash can discard you at any time!â
Nina couldnât help but clench her fists upon hearing Mirandaâs words.
Suddenly, the memory of Nashâs conversation with Zoe came rushing back to her. She realized that she had been nothing more than a pawn in Nashâs game, aiding him in securing shares. She was the sacrificial lamb in their three-year marriage.
Instead of subjecting herself to humiliation and ending up as a discarded woman, she decided to preserve her dignity.
She stared at Miranda with icy eyes as Miranda smirked and said, âIâm here to get rid of trash. Nash doesnât need unwanted garbage!â
In front of Nina, Miranda then threw the food she had brought into the trash bin. She wanted to show Nina something. She wanted to repay Nina for every injustice she had endured. Miranda also wanted to witness Ninaâs sorrowful expression, realizing that she could withstand more than expected.
Nina had endured a great deal in front of Nash, so this was just another moment for her.

âSome things are simply trash, and letting go brings relief. You came at the perfect time. You desire what I no longer want. Since you like the garbage that I donât want, take it. It saves me another trip!â Nina remained emotionally composed, pulling out a document from the passenger seat and throwing it onto the ground.

Miranda looked at the document on the ground, which clearly stated âDivorce Agreement.â She couldnât believe that Nina had already signed it. As she gazed at Ninaâs scornful expression, it seemed as though Nina was looking down on her, as if she had picked the trash that Nina didnât want.
How dare she!
Nina observed a change in Mirandaâs expression.
At first, Miranda appeared smug, but her face quickly turned sour, as if she couldnât believe what Nina had done.
Refusing to back down, Nina replied, âPick it up and give it to Nash. Anything I donât want now belongs to you!â
With that, Nina drove away, leaving behind a cloud of exhaust that made Miranda cough. She had intended to assert her dominance, but Nina had just humiliated her.
Gritting her teeth, Miranda muttered, âNina!â
Her assistant hurried out, concerned about Mirandaâs agitation. âAre you okay, Miranda?â
Miranda glanced at the divorce agreement on the ground.
Reluctantly, she had to bend down. and pick it up. It was the document that symbolized the end of Nina and Nashâs relationship. Miranda needed this document urgently; only after their divorce could she smoothly marry Nash.
Clutching the divorce agreement tightly, Miranda reassured her assistant, âIâm fine. Letâs go back inside.â
Back in the hospital room, Miranda had initially planned to take care of Nash.
