Please make sure to read this before the chapter. 👇👇👇

First of all, happy Diwali to all!

So now, let me start.

Okay, I have good news for those readers who felt bad because more chapters of this story were available on another platform, but they couldn't read them because they were locked. Now there's no need to feel bad because, with this chapter, the number of chapters on both platforms is equal.

And one more thing, I am taking a short break for a few days because I’m going out of the city with my family for 15 days. So, the next chapter will come after 15 days.

I know that now I’m not many readers' favorite writer anymore because I can’t post chapters as regularly as before, and one reader even commented on this. But it's okay; it's your choice. But what can I do? I have my own life too, so no problem; do what feels right for you. If you want to leave the story, it’s fine, but I will definitely complete it.

===================================

Next Day,

Shergill Mansion,

Dada ji came out ready from his room. He was wearing a pink kurta with a light pink turban and a cream half-jacket. He looked very good, and since Vikram and Hardik had chosen a pink and cream theme for the wedding, everyone wore outfits in those colors.

Dada ji asked everyone, "Hey, come on, is everyone ready? If we’re late reaching Vikram's place, how will the wedding procession reach the venue on time?"

Hearing his voice, Ajay, Surekha, Shobha, Alok, Rohit, Ruhi, Rishabh, and Anokhi came outside. Anokhi was adjusting her lehenga as she descended the stairs. She looked beautiful in the pink and cream-colored lehenga, but there was a slight sadness on her face.

Seeing her sad, Surekha asked, "Anu, what happened? You look so lovely, yet why the sad face?"

"Chachi ji, I want to dance in my brother’s wedding procession, but I also want to see bhabhi maa getting ready. And since sam bhaiya isn’t around, I'm getting tense. I feel I’ll miss out on helping her get ready." Saying this, Anokhi became sad again.

Vikram and Hardik's wedding procession was set to leave from Vikram’s house together, while Preeti, Shivika, Sudhir, Shivaay, Praful, Archana, Omkar, and Riya were already at the venue. Everyone set off for Vikram’s house since it was time for the procession to begin.

Hearing this, everyone laughed. Surekha said, "Oh, silly girl, why be sad about that? Once the procession reaches the venue, you can go to Preeti and Shivika, okay? Now smile. You know you’re the on and off switch of this house, so come on, smile!"

Then they all left for Vikram’s house. As per the theme, Vikram wore a white and  pink sherwani, and Hardik dressed in white and cream.

"How do I look, bro? Your brother is getting married today," Vikram asked, showing himself to Rishabh. Rishabh nodded with a slight smile and said, "Yes, today I can say you look good."

Hearing this, everyone laughed, but Vikram’s face fell. He said, "At least compliment me properly on my wedding day."

"Well, didn’t I compliment you?" Rishabh replied.

Vikram said, "Yeah, yeah, you wrapped the compliment in stone and threw it at me."

Hearing this, Rishabh laughed too. Just then, Shalini came inside with the aarti plate and said to everyone, "Now that you’ve had your fun, it’s time for the procession to start."

She asked Vikram and Hardik to sit on the sofa. Following her words, both sat down, and she did their tilak. Then, they all stepped outside. Rishabh and Praveen helped Vikram and Hardik get onto the horses, and the procession set out with the beat of drums and a lot of pomp.

Looking at Rishabh, Vikram laughed and said, "Now see, everyone’s eyes will be on me in the procession!" Rishabh, smiling again, teased, "Yeah, yeah, just don’t fall off the horse, or everyone’s eyes will definitely stay on you, and no one’s laughter will stop!"

Glaring at him, Vikram replied, "Just watch how everyone’s gaze stays on me." Rishabh and the rest of the procession laughed. The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter. Everyone was dancing to the beat of the dhol. Even Vikram and Hardik swayed slightly while seated on the horses, adding more fun to the celebration.

There was a unique glow on Vikram and Hardik’s faces; they looked at each other and smiled as if saying, "Today is our day." The royal vibe of the procession and the festive atmosphere made the moment even more special. Anokhi and Praveen were the most enthusiastic.

Anokhi smiled slightly and glanced at Rishabh, signaling with her eyes, as if saying, "Come, dance in the procession." Her eyes sparkled, reminding him they still had a bet to fulfill. But Rishabh just smiled.

After some time, the procession reached the venue, and hearing the loud beats of the dhol, Shivaay, Omkar, and Riya came running to join the dancing. Their excitement and enthusiasm added even more vibrance to the procession. Omkar held Riya’s hand, spun her around, and danced, joined by Abhinav and Shweta, which caught everyone’s attention. Meanwhile, Shivaay kept passing by Swati without glancing her way or dancing with her.

On the other side, Preeti and Shivika watched this scene from behind a curtain. They both smiled but felt a bit of excitement in their hearts. Preeti whispered to Shivika, "Look how much fun everyone is having."

Preeti nodded with a light laugh, "Yes, and I think after today, this wedding will be unforgettable." Both looked at each other and then back to the vibrant celebration outside.

Everyone was dancing, but Anokhi was looking around here and there. She couldn’t spot Rishabh anywhere. Pouting, she said, "Such a big liar. We made a bet, yet you chickened out. The procession has reached the venue; are you going to dance inside the venue? Big words for someone who said he’d dance. Good thing I made that bet since I was right." Saying this, she gave herself a little pat on the back.

Just then, the drummers suddenly stopped. Vikram and Hardik, who were dancing on the horses, said in unison, "Why did you stop? Our procession isn’t over yet!"

Then, a firework went off, and the drummers started playing again. Some dancers appeared among them, and dancing and singing his way through the dancers was Rishabh.

Seeing him, everyone’s eyes widened. Nobody had expected Rishabh to dance. Rishabh was dancing, looking at Anokhi, moving perfectly to the song lyrics. His dance skills were impressive, and he looked so dashing while dancing that no one could take their eyes off him. Even the female guests at the wedding were sighing while looking at Rishabh.

Rishabh came near Anokhi and pulled her close to him, and she joined him in dancing. She grabbed his collar, pulled him closer, and started dancing with him, placing her hands on his shoulders.

The lyrics of the song seemed to mirror their relationship perfectly. Rishabh really had changed for her. Everyone looked on, smiling and clapping.

Rishabh pulled her close, spun her around, and held her by the waist. Their moves were so in sync that it seemed like they were professional dancers, bringing even more energy to the procession.

Then, the rest of the group joined in, with Rishabh and Anokhi, and even Vikram and Hardik came down from their horses, pointing towards their soon-to-be wives and dancing with everyone.

Preeti, Shivika, and the others watching from the window were also surprised by the dancing. Shivika said in amazement, "My God! I can’t believe Rishabh is dancing. I’ve never seen him dance like this before, and I had no idea he was so good at it."

Preeti laughed, "A request from his wife-to-be, I suppose," and they both chuckled.

Then everyone went inside. Prafull and Sudhir did the aarti for Vikram and Hardik, and then the priest began the rituals for Vikram and Hardik’s worship.

Meanwhile, Anokhi and Ruhi quickly went to Preeti and Shivika. When they entered the room, their eyes sparkled with surprise seeing Preeti and Shivika. Preeti wore a pink lehenga, while Shivika wore a cream-colored one. Both looked incredibly beautiful.

"Bhabhi maa... Shivika Di..." Anokhi began, but Ruhi completed her sentence with an amazed expression, "You both look amazing."

Seeing their expressions, Shivika and Preeti laughed. Then Shivika and Preeti said something to Anokhi and Ruhi, making them smile as they left.

After some time, the worship ceremony concluded, and the priest called for the brides to be brought in. Anokhi hurriedly came to the altar and, holding Vikram’s hand, started pulling him down from the stage, saying, "Brother, quickly come with me."

"Hey, Princess, what are you doing? Where are you taking me?" Vikram asked in surprise. Everyone was a bit surprised as well, wondering why Anokhi was pulling Vikram from the altar in the middle of the wedding ceremony. Suddenly, all the lights went out.

"What is happening, brother? Princess, are you trying to kidnap me? Look, Princess, I'll keep your Bhabhi Ma very happy, and don’t worry, after receiving my love, she won't forget you," Vikram kept talking in the dark, then he suddenly bumped into someone and both staggered. However, Vikram quickly held her and saved her from falling. Just then, the lights came on.

Vikram saw that Preeti was in his arms. She was wearing a pink bridal outfit. This scene was just like when Vikram and Preeti had first met; they had bumped into each other, and Vikram had caught Preeti, saving her from falling. And just like back then, Preeti's face was covered with her dupatta. Seeing this, Vikram smiled. He slowly lifted the dupatta from her face in the same way he had done before.

But one thing had changed. Preeti had been a bit surprised and nervous back then, but now her eyes only showed love for Vikram. She was looking at him with a smile. Meanwhile, Vikram was lost in her simplicity as before, and today, seeing her as a bride, he got lost in her all over again. He gently helped Preeti stand. Preeti placed her hand on his cheek and said with a loving smile,

"You have expressed your love so many times, Vikram. I've managed to say it only once, but today, today I am saying it in front of everyone – Vikram, I love you very much, deeply. When Papa first said that your proposal had come and asked if I would marry you, I said yes on Papa’s word. But today, this yes is solely because of love. I was incomplete, Vikram, and you completed me. Relationships used to scare me, but you turned my fear into peace. Thank you so much for understanding me, for convincing me, for never giving up, and for making me yours."

Everyone was smiling after hearing Preeti’s words, while Vikram's eyes had become slightly teary. Hugging Preeti, he said, "So, you planned to make me cry on our wedding day? Look, I know you look beautiful, but I also want to look handsome in our wedding photos. If I pose with a teary face, how will I look?"

Hearing Vikram's adorable complaint, Preeti laughed. Vikram held her face in his hands, brought her face close to his, and touched his forehead to hers, saying,

"Everyone thinks our marriage is an arranged one. Mom and Dad brought your proposal; I said yes. Uncle Sudhir brought my proposal, and you said yes. But the truth is that I fell in love with you at first sight. So much so that I decided that if anyone would be in my life, it would be you, or no one. And how much you love me – even if you don't express it, I’d still know because your eyes speak of your heart. Just the word 'Vikram' from your mouth tells me everything, whether you say it with shyness, anger, anxiety, or displeasure, every time it tells me everything."

Hearing Vikram's words, Preeti closed her eyes and smiled. Anokhi, standing nearby with Rishabh's arm around her, was watching them lovingly. Seeing this romantic moment, she said,

"What a romantic scene! It feels like I'm watching a romantic movie, with my brother as the hero and Bhabhi Ma as the heroine. What a beautiful proposal by my brother and Bhabhi Ma! May no evil eye befall them," Anokhi said, giving them blessings.

Everyone was watching Vikram and Preeti when suddenly, they heard Hardik's anxious voice, "Hey, Vikram's bride has come. He has proposed so beautifully, but where’s mine? Preeti Bhabhi, you didn’t leave Shivika in the room, did you?"

Preeti laughed at Hardik's words and replied, "Hardik, you know Shivika better than I do. When she can confront boys, trouble her love to win his heart, do you think her entry will be simple?"

"What do you mean?" Hardik asked, a bit surprised. Just then, loud gunshots were heard, startling everyone, causing some to look around and others to duck down.

Then, everything went silent. They looked around to see Rishabh’s guards encircling everyone, but not a single thing was out of place, and there were no bullet marks. Everyone realized that only the sound of gunfire had been played.

Then Shivika entered, wearing sunglasses, and she lowered them a bit, looking at Hardik and saying, " Swaagat nahi karoge hamaara. ( Won't you welcome me? ) "

Finally, everyone breathed a sigh of relief, and Hardik smiled. Music played, and Anokhi, Ruhi, Shweta, Swati, and Riya joined Shivika and started dancing with her.

Hai wo handsome sona sabse

Mere dil ko gaya le kar

Meri neend chura li usne

Aur khwab gaya dekar

Hai wo handsome sona sabse

Mere dil ko gaya le kar

Meri neend chura li usne

Aur khwab gaya dekar

Ab ye naina bole yaar

Bole yehi lagataar

Koi chaahe kitna roke karungi pyar.

Mere saiyaan superstar

O Mere saiyaan superstar

Main fan hui unki

O mere saiyaan superstar

Mere saiyaan superstar

O Mere saiyaan superstar

Main fan hui unki

O mere saiyaan superstar

Watching her dance, Hardik smiled to himself, saying, "Shivika and her mischief... This girl is going to give me a heart attack one day!"

Shivika pulled him closer and started dancing. When the dance ended, Vikram teased Hardik, "See, your bride has also arrived, and what an entrance she made! Everyone’s eyes are just on her. What a powerful entry, Shivika! Honestly, everyone’s heart almost leapt out in fear."

Then, they heard the priest's voice calling the bride and groom to the mandap, and they all gathered. The wedding rituals began again, and the priest asked both couples to take their seats. Vikram and Preeti sat on one side, while Hardik and Shivika on the other.

The first ritual was the 'Var Mala.' At the priest’s instruction, Vikram and Preeti stood up first. Vikram looked at Preeti with a smile, and Preeti gently smiled back, placing the garland around Vikram's neck. Then Vikram also placed a garland around her neck, creating a beautiful moment between them.

Next, it was Hardik and Shivika's turn. Hardik looked into Shivika’s eyes with love, and Shivika, with a slight nervousness, placed the garland around his neck. Hardik lovingly smiled as he placed the garland around her, and everyone showered flowers on the four of them.

After the garland exchange, the priest began preparing for the 'Havan.' Seated around the sacred wedding fire, Vikram and Preeti, and Hardik and Shivika completed each ritual step by step.

Then, the priest called the brides' parents for the 'Kanyadaan' ritual, and silence filled the air. Both Preeti and Shivika’s eyes turned moist as they looked at their fathers. Sudhir and Praful's eyes were also tearful, and everyone else looked at each other. Preeti took a deep breath and said to the priest, "Pandit Ji, only my Papa will perform the Kanyadaan."

"But dear, Kanyadaan is traditionally done by both parents," the priest replied.

"My mother is not here. Whoever I have is my father, so he alone will do it," Preeti firmly said. Shivika also added, "Yes, Pandit Ji, only my father will perform the Kanyadaan."

"But how can this be? If the rituals aren’t done as per tradition, it might bring misfortune. You can ask an elder from your family to complete the ritual," the priest suggested.

"No," both Shivika and Preeti said in unison. Shivika explained, "Pandit Ji, my Papa loves me very much. He has filled every gap, including that of a mother. He's always thought of me, never letting us feel incomplete. So today, it’s his right, why should I give it to someone else?"

Preeti added, "Yes, Pandit Ji. My mother passed away when I was young, but my father became my entire world. He’s been my guide, my friend, everything. With him around, how can misfortune even exist? His presence turns my bad times into good. It’s only because of him that I’m here today, binding with Vikram. If he hadn’t thought of my happiness, I would still be alone. So, only Papa will perform the Kanyadaan."

"Why are you both so adamant?" Prafull and Sudhir said together, trying to dissuade them.

Preeti and Shivika also replied together, "This is not stubbornness, Papa; it’s our wish and your right."

"Go ahead, children. The girls are right, Pandit Ji. Where a father's hand is present, nothing can go wrong," Dada Ji said.

Hearing Dada Ji’s words, the priest smiled, and Sudhir and Prafull completed the Kanyadaan. Everyone smiled after hearing Preeti and Shivika’s words, though Anokhi's eyes had a hint of moisture. It reminded her of a time when Manish had hurt her, and she had retaliated.

Just then she felt a hand on her head, turned to see Alok smiling at her. Seeing him, Anokhi hugged him, and Alok gently patted her head.

Anokhi smiled and said, "You are the best Papa."

Alok also smiled and said, "I know that I am the best, tell me something new." As soon as he said this, Anokhi started laughing and placed her head on Alok's chest, watching the wedding. She said in her mind, "The world is indeed strange, and God is unique. There are fathers, but they have so many different forms. Prafull Uncle and Sudhir Uncle both gave Bhabhi Maa and Shivika Didi the love of a mother. Papa is giving a stranger girl the love of a father. He doesn’t consider me a daughter-in-law but fully considers me a daughter. And there was that person who instilled so much fear in me that it took me a long time to even call papa 'Papa.' My lips would tremble at the word 'papa.' But now everything is fine. Perhaps, whatever happens, happens for the best. I was destined to receive a father's love, so I didn’t get it in childhood, but now I've got the best papa."

Just then, Rishabh, who was standing beside her, watching Alok and Anokhi, was trying to read Anokhi's changing expressions. He said, "Don't think so much, cupcake, or if you miss your Bhaiya and Bhabhi Maa's wedding, then don't ask me later, 'Rishabh Ji, what happened then, Rishabh Ji, what happened when they exchanged the mangalsutra?' I won’t tell you anything."

Hearing Rishabh's words, Anokhi first looked at him in surprise and then made a face. Alok laughed, and Shobha also smiled, along with Rishabh. Anokhi, lifting her face, complained to Alok, "See, papa, Rishabh Ji keeps bothering me like this. Tell him that if he annoys me, you won’t spare him. After all, dads have that intimidation factor."

"Yeah, and Dad’s dad is also here. Maybe Dad has some fear of Dada Ji in his mind," Rishabh said.

Anokhi quickly replied, "Yes, so that's a good thing. Anyway, Dada Ji is always with me. You’ll get scolded by two dads, and then you’ll come to your senses."

Saying this, Anokhi tilted her mouth, and Rishabh smiled. Just then, the priest’s voice came, asking Vikram, Preeti, Hardik, and Shivika to stand up for the seven rounds.

Vikram and Preeti moved forward for the first round, holding each other's hands, and began the first round around the fire as the priest chanted. Similarly, Hardik and Shivika also got up to take their vows, and they completed their rounds as well. With each vow, their bond grew stronger.

When all seven rounds were completed, the priest initiated the final rituals of 'Sindoor Daan' and 'Mangalsutra.' Vikram filled Preeti’s parting with sindoor, followed by Hardik filling Shivika’s parting with sindoor. After that, both grooms put the mangalsutra on their respective brides, and with this, Vikram and Preeti’s, as well as Hardik and Shivika’s weddings, were joyfully completed. They all took blessings from the elders.

"Congratulations Bhaiya Bhabhi Maa, Hardik Bhaiya, Shivika Didi," Anokhi said, hugging each of them one by one. Just then, Shivika laughed and said, "Anokhi, please stop calling me Didi and Hardik as Bhaiya now; it feels weird. Brother-sister, husband-wife—everyone will get confused."

Anokhi smiled and said, "Alright, then I’ll also start calling you Bhabhi, Shivika Bhabhi. But not from today, from tomorrow!"

"Why?" Everyone asked at once, and Anokhi replied with a smile, "If I start calling you Bhabhi today, you won’t be Didi anymore, and then I won’t get paid for stealing Didi’s future husband’s shoes. So, from tomorrow!"

"So, that means the shoes are missing again?" Vikram and Hardik both said together, looking back to where the shoes were kept. But their shoes were still there.

Hardik laughed and said, "Looks like you didn’t come up with a plan this time. My shoes are still here. This time you failed, Anokhi."

But Anokhi said nothing, just smiled. Hardik told Praveen, "Go, brother, grab my shoes before they disappear; I’ll put them on."

As soon as Praveen picked up Hardik's shoes, his eyes widened in surprise. "What’s this!" he exclaimed loudly, making everyone look at him.

"What happened, brother?" Hardik asked, and Praveen showed him the shoes. The shoes looked the same from the top, but the base of the shoe was completely gone. Seeing the condition of the shoes, everyone was even more surprised.

Praveen quickly picked up Vikram's shoes, and they were in the same condition.

"Anokhi!" everyone said in unison.

Then Vikram, making a face, said, "Princess, you did this to your Bhaiya? You even call her Bhabhi Maa already, I thought at least no one calls her Didi, so my shoes would be safe. But look at the state of my poor shoes! You’ve chopped off their feet! Why did you do this?"

Seeing his sad face, Anokhi, controlling her laughter, said, " Bhaiya, I didn’t do this. Why would I? You’re my Bhaiya. This condition of your shoes was caused by Swati Didi."

As she pointed, everyone looked at Swati, who smiled at everyone.

"Swati! You… when did you join this game, yaar! You made a wild card entry."

So, Swati laughed and said, "My wildcard entry has been given by Preeti Didi."

"Preeti Didi! Since when ?" Vikram said in amazement.

Then Preeti lightly hit his shoulder and replied, "What’s your problem? Why, can’t I become her sister? Here, everyone calls me 'Bhabhi'—whether it’s Riya, Ruhi, or Shivika. Now that all the wedding rituals are completed, how could we skip the shoe-stealing ritual? Besides, I really like Swati as my sister, so I told her to make sure to steal your shoes."

"Oh, stealing the shoes is fine, but how did the shoes get into this condition? Do you expect us to pay for half-destroyed shoes?" Hardik asked. Behind him, Ajay added, "Yes, Anokhi, Swati, you both ruined the shoes, and Vikram and Hardik aren’t going to give you any money for this."

"These are not the shoes that Bhaiya and Hardik Bhaiya wore," Anokhi said.

Then Archana asked, "If these aren’t those shoes, then where did these shoes come from?"

"Mumma, these are duplicate shoes. We have the real ones. Maa said the vidaai time is early, so everything needed to be done quickly. So, I thought arguing and hiding the shoes would take a lot of time, so I came up with this idea—we brought duplicate shoes and cut out the base, making them look real. And no one even noticed."

"And where did you get this idea, Princess?" Vikram asked.

Anokhi laughed and said, "I only suggested the duplicate shoes idea. The idea to cut the base was Swati Didi's. The plan was great, Swati Didi; otherwise, they would have walked off in the shoes. Now, how will they wear these?"

" Hey bhagwaan ( Oh, Lord!) " everyone said together.

Meanwhile, Shivaay looked at Swati, bowed his head, and smiled to himself, thinking, "My girl is indeed a clever one. If she can do this to the shoes, what will she do to me? Although, honestly, I want her to take care of me one way or another."

At that moment, Vikram and Hardik joined their hands in front of Swati and Anokhi, saying, "Goddess, tell us your command."

Vikram added, "Yeah, Swati, I don’t want to mess with you. When you stood with a knife to Abhinav’s throat, I understood that you aren’t someone to be messed with. And I just got married; why would I ruin my life by picking a fight with you? Take whatever you want; say the word, and I’ll even put my property in your name."

Everyone laughed at his words, and Swati made a face. Just then, Surekha said, "Now that both of them have surrendered, do this—make sure all your demands are met later because it’s time for the farewell ceremony, and the auspicious moment is approaching."

Everyone agreed to Surekha’s words, and Anokhi and Swati returned the hidden shoes. Vikram and Hardik promised to give them something they desired, even if it meant selling their property. Then Shobha looked around and said, "Hey, where are Alok and Ajay?"

"Yes, Shobha, Sanjay and Raghav Bhai Sahab are missing too," Shalini added, looking around.

In a room at the hotel, a man lay on the floor, with Raghav standing angrily in front of him. Alok, Sanjay, and Ajay were also there. Looking at the man, it was clear he’d been beaten badly, and from Raghav's angry expression, it wasn’t hard to guess who did it.

Seeing that the man was nearly unconscious, Alok signaled the bodyguards, who helped the man up with difficulty. Raghav approached him, grabbed his collar, and said angrily, "Be thankful I heard what you said and not my son, or he’d have buried you right here for the nasty things you said about my daughter-in-law. I’m letting you live. Take him away."

The bodyguards took the man out. Raghav sat on the sofa while Alok, Sanjay, and Ajay looked at him.

Flashback

While everyone was enjoying the wedding, a man was looking at Shweta in a vile manner as she laughed and chatted with Abhinav. With a cunning smile, he said to himself, "What’s the sparkle of the Rang Mahal doing here? Oh yes, I forgot that Rang Mahal is now ashes, but its sparkle is still alive somewhere. I didn’t know Shweta, once every man's desire in Rang Mahal, is standing here in a married look. Who’s the guy who made her his wife? But never mind, maybe he’s unaware of the truth. But let’s have some fun first. I never got a chance to have a colorful night with her in Rang Mahal, so the hotel room will do," he laughed wickedly.

He was unaware that Raghav and Alok had overheard his words.

Both their faces grew furious at his words. Raghav moved toward him in anger, but Alok held his hand and said, "Not here, Raghav. It’ll cause a scene at the wedding."

At Alok's suggestion, Raghav calmed down. Alok signaled his bodyguards, who quietly kidnapped the man and took him to a hotel room.

When Ajay and Sanjay saw the bodyguards leading the man into a room, they followed and found Raghav beating him.

Raghav hit the man, saying, "My son is aware of everything. He loves Shweta, something people like you wouldn’t understand. So, let me teach you the meaning of death." He struck the man again.

When the man was nearly unconscious, Alok stopped Raghav, saying, "Enough, Raghav. He’s learned his lesson. Let him go."

Flashback Ends

Reflecting on all this, Raghav lifted his head and looked at Alok, Sanjay, and Ajay, saying, "This was my fear. Shweta may have left that world, but it’ll never leave her. People who know her will bring up her past. We stopped it today, but if tomorrow she meets someone who’s seen her at Rang Mahal, her past will haunt her again."

"We can’t change the past, Raghav. We can only try to make today and tomorrow better, which you’re doing," Alok said.

"That’s why I made a decision."

"A decision? What decision?" Alok, Sanjay, and Ajay asked together.

Raghav replied, "I decided to ask Abhinav to come with me to London. I believe the children’s purposes in life are fulfilled. They’ve gotten what they needed. Rishabh got his revenge, Abhinav found a reason to live. He didn’t join my company, and I never forced him. But now, I want him to come to London, join the company, and for Shweta to leave India for a few years. Over time, things will normalize. She’ll find peace, and perhaps people will forget."

He fell silent after saying this. Everyone exchanged glances. Alok put a hand on his shoulder and said, "Your decision is right, Raghav. I think it’s the best for Shweta. If she stays outside India for a few years, she’ll start a new life, forgetting the past. She’s already trying to forget, but staying here, people will keep reminding her. So, London is the right choice."

"If it’s decided, we should go; if we’re not seen outside, everyone will come here. We’ve been here for a while. The wedding might be over by now," Ajay said. They left the room.

When the four returned, Dadaji asked, "Where were you all? The wedding is over, it’s time for the farewell, and where were you four?"

"Nothing, Papa. A client needed us, and we were discussing something with him. It turned out that he had previously worked with Raghav in London, so the conversation went longer," Alok replied, evading the truth.

Then Shobha said, "All you see is work, work, and more work. Even at the wedding, you find work."

Alok just smiled. Then Anokhi said, "Alright, alright, let’s continue talking later. It’s time for the farewell, Auntie."

Ajay looked around and said, "Looks like the wedding is done, along with the shoe-stealing ceremony."

Anokhi replied, "It’s vidaai time, so we handed over the shoes without a fuss, on the promise that whatever I demand will be given."

"Fine, that works. So, let’s finish the vidaai ceremony."

Hearing the vidaai talk, Preeti and Shivika’s eyes filled with tears. When Prafull and Sudhir saw them crying, they said, "Why are you two crying? Look, thanks to Sanjay Sir, I’ll always be with you both. He brought me here, promising I’d always stay with you."

Then Prafull placed his hand on Shivika’s head and said, "And you, why are you crying? You already spent more time at Shergill Mansion than here. I’ll always think of you as my Shivika; whenever I feel like it, I’ll call you."

Then Preeti and Shivika both said together, "We miss Maa."

Hearing this, everyone’s smiling faces dimmed a bit. Sudhir and Prafull also had moist eyes. They hugged Preeti and Shivika.
