Rohit shook his head in regret and said, "At least she could have changed. She went to sleep wearing all the jewelry."
He sat next to Ruhi, removed the bangles from her hand, and then one by one took off all her jewelry. Then he noticed her bun, filled with dozens of pins. He said, "She went to sleep with all these pins in her hair? What if they poked her... silly girl."
As he spoke, he carefully removed each pin from her hair and let her hair down. He also took out the safety pin from her dupatta. Thatâs when his eyes fell on Ruhiâs bare back, which was visible due to her deep blouse. Seeing this, Rohitâs throat went dry.
He whispered softly, "Does she always have to wear something like this? Doesnât she realize how sexy she looks in it? I feel like..." He slowly moved closer to her back.
At that moment, Ruhi turned in her sleep, and her hand landed on Rohitâs face, causing him to fall off the bed. Holding his cheek in surprise, he stared at Ruhi, who was peacefully unaware of everything and sleeping soundly.
Sitting on the floor, holding his head, Rohit muttered, "What was I even thinking about romance? I canât do anything with this girl!"
Irritated, he stood up, lay down next to Ruhi, and stared at the ceiling, muttering to himself, "Everyoneâs first night is supposed to be romantic, but look at mine. God must have rarely given anyone a first night like mineâgetting slapped by his wife."
Just then, Ruhi, still asleep, turned over and rested her head on Rohitâs chest, holding him tightly. Rohit looked down at her and smiled, seeing her hugging him like he was a teddy bear. But watching her sleeping face, he smiled.
Holding her tightly in his arms, he kissed her forehead and said, "Go ahead, do whatever you want. Iâll tell you later. Anyway, youâve already declared by winning the ring game that youâll be the one in charge. I only got the ring once, and now youâre taking full revenge for all the times I scolded you or made you cry as a child. It seems youâre going to give me a hard time. Fine, for your love, Iâll even put up with it," Rohit said with a smile and closed his eyes, peacefully falling asleep with his Ruhi in his arms.
Meanwhile, just as Omkar had said before the wedding, Riya was going through the same. Omkarâs love showed no signs of stopping, but Riya was completely exhausted. Drenched in sweat and breathing heavily, she said, "Omkar, stop, Iâm tired."
Breathing heavily himself, Omkar replied, "Just a little more, Riya. Seeing you like this, my desire isnât diminishing; itâs only growing."
Omkar took a deep breath and quickened his pace, causing Riyaâs voice to echo in the room. Despite trying her best to keep her voice down, since the room wasnât soundproof, she was failing due to Omkarâs speed. Worried that someone outside might hear, Riya tried harder to suppress her voice, but couldnât. Seeing her struggle, Omkar silenced her lips with a kiss.
Anokhi's room
Anokhi changed, lay down on the bed, and glanced at Dai Maa, who was already fast asleep. So she closed her eyes too. But the next moment, her phone rang. Worried that the sound might wake Dai Maa, she quickly answered without checking.
On the other end, Rishabhâs voice came, "Instead of sleeping, youâre on your phone, cupcake! Itâs so late, and youâre still awake."
Hearing the slight irritation in his voice, Anokhi pouted. She glanced at Dai Maa, who was still asleep, and then quietly stepped out onto the balcony.
After closing the balcony door, she said to Rishabh, "If I hadnât picked up, you wouldâve woken up Dai Maa. And anyway, youâre still awake too, and I wasnât using my phone, I was just about to sleep. As soon as I closed my eyes, your call came. How is that my fault?" Anokhiâs voice was slightly raised.
On the other side, lying comfortably in his room, Rishabh replied, "Yeah, youâre right, itâs not your fault. Itâs mine. I shouldnât have let you go there. I should have taken you straight from the venue," Rishabh said helplessly. Hearing this, Anokhi put her hands on her hips and asked, "Why?" Rishabh responded, "Because I canât sleep without you." This made Anokhi smile.
She sat down on the chair in the balcony and said, "If you canât sleep, what will you do? Iâm here."
Rishabh said, "Iâm thinking of coming to get you, or maybe Iâll just come and sleep there."
Anokhi quickly interrupted, "No, no! Donât come! Thereâs no place to sleep here, and if you come, youâll have to sleep on the sofa."
Rishabh teased, "Fine, Iâll sleep on the sofa, and you can sleep on top of me."
Anokhi pouted and said, "Youâre starting again! You didnât use to be like this before. Whatâs happened to you?"
"Well, itâs not my fault, itâs yours," Rishabh said.
Anokhi quickly responded, "My fault? How?"
"Because when I used to tease you before, you would get scared and run away. Now, instead of being scared, you blush and stay close. In fact, you hug me. So, my courage kept growing. Now, tell me, whose fault is it?" Rishabh teased.
Caught in his words, Anokhi started thinking, "Is it my fault? But how? But what Rishabh ji said is true... So is it really my fault?"
Listening to her puzzled thoughts, Rishabh chuckled and said, "Donât overthink it; you donât have much brainpower. If you use it all up now, what will you use in college?" He laughed again.
Annoyed, Anokhi said, "Youâre just making fun of me! Youâre so mean. Iâm going to sleep!" She moved to hang up the phone.
Rishabh quickly said, "Wait, wait, wait!"
Anokhi put the phone back to her ear.
Rishabh said, "Youâll be cuddling Dai Maa, but think about me too. Do something for me."
"Hold my teddy bear and sleep. Itâs even bigger than me; youâll be comfortable holding it," Anokhi replied, pouting.
Rishabh said, "Stop the drama."
"So what should I do?" Anokhi asked, still pouting.
"Okay, give me a kiss and say âI love you,â" Rishabh said.
Anokhi smiled, gave a long kiss over the phone, and said, "I love you. Now go to sleep; Iâll come tomorrow. Bye."
"Bye, and I love you too. As for the kiss, Iâll give you a proper reply when youâre in front of me."
"Bye bye bye," Anokhi said, cutting the call.
Rishabh laughed. Then, thinking of something, he went to his wardrobe to find something. His hand landed on Anokhiâs red dress, which he had stolen without her knowing. As soon as he saw the dress, he smiled. This was exactly what he was looking for. Taking the dress, he went to bed, held it, and lay down.
He brushed his lips over the dress and noticed that it still smelled like Anokhi. Feeling her scent, he closed his eyes, placed the dress under his cheek, and fell asleep smiling.
The next morning,
In Rohitâs room,
When Ruhi woke up, she stretched and looked around. Her eyes fell on Rohit, who was sitting by the headboard, staring at her. Seeing him, Ruhi smiled and said, "Good morning."
But the next moment, Rohit grabbed her face, pulled her close, and kissed her on the lips. This sudden action startled Ruhi awake, her eyes wide with surprise. For a moment, she didnât know what was happening, but as Rohitâs kiss became more intense, she grabbed his shoulders.
She wanted to say something, but Rohitâs kiss made it impossible. She wanted to push him away, but Rohit held her hands behind her back, pinning them with one hand while his other hand caressed her hair, deepening the kiss.
Ruhi couldnât resist anymore. She closed her eyes and began to feel his kiss. Rohit moved down to her neck, kissing her gently.
Breathing heavily, Ruhi whispered, "Rohit, what are you doing?" But Rohit didnât answer. He slid her blouse off her shoulder and kissed her bare skin. Ruhi shivered. Her breaths quickened with each of Rohitâs actions.
Suddenly, she yelped as Rohit gently bit her shoulder, then pulled back and looked at her.
Ruhi glanced at her shoulder, where Rohit had left a mark, then looked at him, who was smiling mischievously. She was about to adjust her blouse when Rohit grabbed her hand, stopping her.
Glaring at him, Ruhi said, "Have you gone mad, doing this so early in the morning?"
Then Rohit gently caressed her love bite, looking into her eyes, and said, "Yes, I went crazy when I came into the room last night. I gave a blank check to Shivika to come to the room. And when I came in, I saw my wife sleeping peacefully without waiting for me, stealing my sleep away. That's why I lost it, but now I'm okay. Maybe not completely, but I got something," he said with a mischievous smile.
Ruhi first felt embarrassed for her actions the previous night, but then, moving his hand away from her shoulder and adjusting her blouse, she replied, "Well, it's not my fault. You were being stingy and kept arguing with Shivika, so what was I supposed to do? After wearing such a heavy lehenga, so many heavy ornaments, makeup, and going through the entire wedding, should I have waited for you? Why? I was tired, so I fell asleep. And it's a good thing I did. After seeing your antics, I'll go thank God for putting me to sleep last night." Saying this, Ruhi started to leave, but Rohit grabbed her hand and pulled her close.
Ruhi fell directly onto him. Rohit, tucking her hair behind her ear, said, "Oh yes, you should definitely say thank you. I'll also thank Him for putting you to sleep last night. Otherwise, with how tired you were, even if I had done something, you would have quickly fallen asleep, and I would have been left incomplete."
Hearing Rohit's words, Ruhi's eyes widened in surprise, and her face turned red with embarrassment.
Omkarâs Room,
Omkar was already awake and was gently caressing Riya's head, which was resting on his chest, looking at her lovingly. Riya was still asleep, her face showing signs of exhaustion. They were wrapped in a single sheet, and neither of them was wearing any clothes. Clear love bites could be seen on Riya's shoulders and chest, making Omkar smile as he said, âLooks like I overdid it last night. But what can I say, seeing you in my arms like that, I couldn't control myself, and probably won't be able to in the future either.â
Just then, Riya stirred and woke up from her sleep. She opened her eyes and found her head resting on Omkarâs chest. When she lifted her face, she saw Omkar looking at her with love. Seeing this, Riya smiled, but immediately recalled last night and blushed. With a pout, she said, âOmkar, I wonât spare you! You troubled me so much last night. I kept telling you I was tired, but you...â she said, punching Omkar's chest.
Omkar laughed. After all, how could a punch from Riyaâs delicate hands affect him? Kissing her forehead, he said, âAlright, alright, Iâm sorry.â
Just then, Riya glanced at the clock and saw that it was 10:00. Her eyes widened in shock. She tried to get up quickly, but the sudden movement caused a sharp pain in her waist, and she screamed. She held her waist with one hand while keeping a grip on the blanket with the other.
Seeing her in pain, Omkar quickly got up and said, âRiya, what are you doing?â
In pain, Riya said, âOmkar, it's 10:00 and Iâm still sleeping! You should have woken me up! I wonder what everyone must be thinking about me!â
Omkar, a bit concerned, said, âForget all that. Tell me, is the pain very bad?â
Hearing this, Riya glared at him angrily. Omkar made a puppy face and said, âWhy are you looking at me angrily? Sorry, I didnât know it would hurt this much. Okay, go take a hot bath, youâll feel better.â
He was about to remove the blanket and get up, when Riya quickly turned her face the other way and said, âOmkar, what are you doing?â
Seeing her turn her face like that, Omkar smiled and teased, âOh, why are you turning your face? You already saw me completely last night. So, why be shy now?â
Saying this, Omkar removed the blanket, and Riya covered her face with one hand. Seeing this, Omkar burst into laughter and said, âIâm wearing lowers, you can look.â
Upon hearing this, Riya peeked at Omkar through her fingers and saw that he was indeed wearing lowers. She removed her hand from her face. Then, thinking for a moment, she peeked under the blanket and saw that she wasnât wearing any clothes. Glaring at Omkar, she asked, âThen why am I without clothes?â
âBecause I like you better this way,â Omkar said, lifting her up in his arms along with the blanket and carrying her to the bathroom.
Riya, feeling embarrassed, said, âOmkar, I can bath by myself, I donât need your help.â
Filling the bathtub with warm water, Omkar said, âI promise I wonât do anything.â
A little while later, both came out of the room. Riya had put on a red saree with a black blouse. The blouse had full sleeves and covered her neck, chest, and back completely. Glaring at Omkar, Riya said, âBecause of you, I have to wear such a blouse.â
âWell, itâs good, right? You should get more blouses like this tailored, they'll be useful every day,â Omkar said.
Riya gave him a wide-eyed glare. When she walked into the hall, she noticed no one was home. Looking worried, she asked, âWhy is no one at home? Where has everyone gone?â
Omkar, with a mischievous grin, said, âMy family is very understanding. They know weâre newly married and need time and space for romance, so theyâve left the house for us. Itâs just you and me now, so shall we resume the romance?â
Saying this, Omkar stepped toward her, and Riya began stepping back. Just then, the doorbell rang, and Riya rushed to the door.
She opened the door to find Dai Ma, Archana, Anokhi, and Preeti standing there. As they came in, Riya touched Dai Maâs and Archanaâs feet. Lifting her up, Archana said, âOh, Riya, thereâs no need for all this. Iâve told you before, youâre like my daughter. No, not like, you are my daughter. So, behave the same way you would with your own mother. Alright?â
âAlright, Aunty... I mean, Maa,â Riya said with a smile. Then she asked, âBut where had you all gone?â
âWe went to the temple, Riya Bhabhi,â Anokhi said. Riya replied, âYou should have told me, I wouldâve gone with you.â Hearing this, Anokhi and Preeti smiled. Seeing their smiles, Riya felt shy.
Archana, smiling, said, âNo problem. You were very tired from yesterdayâs wedding rituals, and besides, you still have to do your first cooking ritual today, donât you? Come on, letâs do the rasoi puja ( kitchen puja ) and weâll help you cook.â
âMaa, you do the puja, Iâll help with the cooking,â Preeti offered. Archana nodded in agreement. Archana and Dai Ma performed the kitchen puja with Riya. Then, Riya, Anokhi, and Preeti together started cooking. In addition to the meal, Riya made almond halwa for dessert, which was Omkarâs favorite.
When Omkar saw the almond halwa, he smiled and looked at Riya. Riya said to Preeti, âBhabhi, you sit, Iâll serve everyone.â
âNo, dear, you sit too. Weâll all eat together. Just serve the dessert, weâll take the rest of the food ourselves,â Dai Ma said. So Riya served everyone almond halwa in bowls and then sat next to Omkar.
Omkar immediately grabbed his bowl of halwa. As soon as he took a bite, he exclaimed, âWow! Riya, youâve made such delicious halwa.â Hearing this, Riya smiled. Everyone else also ate and praised Riya for her cooking.
Anokhi said, âBhaiya, compliments alone wonât do, you need to give a gift to Bhabhi. Come on, give her a gift.â
âAnother gift?â Omkar asked in surprise, then looked at Dai Ma and asked, âDai Ma, tell me something. Donât boys get gifts at weddings? Every time itâs the girl getting giftsâsometimes for the sister, sometimes for the sister-in-law, and now for the wife. Shouldnât husbands, brothers, brothers-in-law get something too?â
Dai Ma playfully hit him on the head and said, âIâll tell you whether boys get gifts at weddings later. First, give the gift to your wife.â
Omkar pouted. Archana handed over a box, which contained beautiful bangles that Riya loved. Everyone else also gave Riya some gifts.
Just then, Anokhi stood up and said, âMumma, Iâm going home.â
Hearing this, Preeti teased her, âOh, you canât even bear a dayâs separation from Rishabh Ji, can you, Anu?â
Everyone smiled at her teasing. Anokhi, pouting, said, âBhabhi Ma, why are you teasing me? Tease these two, they just got married. As for me, Iâm going because my friend Ruhi has her first kitchen ritual today, and as her Jethani, I need to be there. Bye-bye!â she said, and started to leave.
Omkar called out, âAnu, wait! Iâll drop you off.â
âNo Bhaiya, Iâm taking the car. I know how to drive. Bye!â she said quickly and left.
Dai Ma said, âThis girl can never sit still.â
Then, placing her hand on Preetiâs head, she said, âNow, once my Preeti is married, Iâll go back to my home. After that, since Anuâs wedding wonât be happening anytime soon, Iâll come back when it does.â
âWhy, is it necessary to leave?â Archana asked.
âArchana, you know my younger sister has been unwell lately, I just want to visit her. After Preetiâs wedding, Iâll go stay with her.â
âAlright, Kaki, I wonât stop you,â Archana replied with a smile.
Shergill Mansion,
When Anokhi returned home, she saw that everyone was still sitting in the dining hall. She hurried over and said loudly, âLooks like I came just in time, you havenât finished eating yet?â
âFinished? Anu, Iâve told everyone that no one will finish eating until my princess arrives,â Vikram said.
Anokhi, sitting down happily, said, âReally, Bhaiya?â
Vikram, in the same excited tone, replied, âYes, really, meri pyaari behna ( my dear sister ).â
âHere they go again, these two siblings,â Shalini said with a smile.
Just then, looking around, Anokhi said, "Where is everyone else?"
"Everyone else? Who?" Dadaji asked.
"Dadaji, Iâm talking about Ruhi, Maa, Shivika didi, Chachi ji, and Rishabh ji, where are they all?"
So Ajay said, "Your Chachi ji and everyone else are in the kitchen, and where your husband is, you should know that. He must either be in the room or the study room."
"Yes, right Chacha ji, he only sees work, and there are only two places to workâone is the room, and the other is the study room. Actually, you can't trust him; he can turn the garden, terrace, hall, drawing room, and even the kitchen into a workspace. He'll turn the whole mansion into Office Part 2,"
Anokhi kept talking while everyone else was trying to hold back their laughter listening to her. They kept looking behind Anokhi because Rishabh was standing behind her with his arms crossed, listening to everything she was saying, while she was bad-mouthing him behind his back.
As soon as she finished, Rishabh said, "Oh, so Iâll do that, huh?"
"Yes, exactly, Rishabh ji," Anokhi said, turning around, and when she saw Rishabh, her words got stuck in her throat. Her eyes widened with surprise. The next moment, she composed herself and said, "Rishabh ji will never do such a thing. Oh, he's not crazy. He is very nice, doesn't work too much, listens to everyone, he's really very very very good."
Anokhi instantly changed her tune. Where there was criticism of Rishabh, now there were praises. Seeing this, no one could control their laughter, and everyone burst out laughing together. Meanwhile, Rishabh, smiling, sat down on the chair next to her.
Just then, from the kitchen, Shivika, Ruhi, Shobha, and Surekha came out holding plates in their hands. When they saw everyone laughing like this, Shobha asked, "What's going on, why is everyone laughing? Tell us too."
Then Surekha noticed Anokhi sitting among them and, pointing towards her, said to Shobha, " I swear on diamond didi, when the houseâs laughter medicine has arrived, it's only natural to laugh."
