Chapter 456
Changing only for her (Sophie and Tristan)
Clayton had never expected Sophie to be such a ruthless, merciless person. He had no idea what he
should do at that moment.
âSophie, you really are a cruel person. You donât even care about your own sister! Since youâre
adamant about making my life difficult, Iâm going to make you bear the sin of harming your own sibling!â
With that, Clayton, who couldnât care less about the consequences, prepared to make his move on
Willow.
Willow closed her eyes in resignation.
At that point, she had lost all hope.
She only had herself to blame for this. If she hadnât thought that Clayton could give her everything she
ever wanted, she would not have ended up like that.
Willowâs eyes were shut for quite a while, but as she waited, her impending death didnât befall her as
she expected it to.
While her eyes were still closed, Sophie had sent Clayton flying with a kick, and the gun in his hand fell
to the ground.
Clayton lunged toward it.
That was the only thing that could ensure his safety and help him escape.
He did not know how else he was going to leave the place if he didnât have that gun.
However, as soon as Clayton was about to pick up the gun, Sophie nonchalantly kicked it to another
side.
âClayton, why are you still making pointless struggles? Didnât I tell you that thereâs no way youâre
leaving this place today?â
Since she had made up her mind to send the man to jail, she would definitely make that happen.
Clayton tried to reach out for the gun again, but Sophie kicked it away again. She was blatantly toying
with the man. Instead of picking up the gun, she kicked the gun around and made him go after it in
desperation.
Claytonâs embarrassment turned into anger.
âSophie Tanner, youââ
Sophie lazily stretched her stiff muscles.
âYes, thatâs me. What? Do spit out all of your threats at once,â she said. She was never afraid of
threats.
Clayton gritted his teeth resentfully when he saw how unfazed Sophie was.
âIâm going to kill you!â
He gave up trying to pick up the gun and grabbed a nearby vase to hurl it at Sophie.
Sophie easily dodged it.
âYouâre so not a gentleman!â Sophie taunted, almost angering Clayton to death.
In the next second, he lunged at her.
He desperately wished he could kill Sophie right there and then. There was no way he was going to let
her off easily.
Yet, just as he threw himself at her, Sophie kicked him squarely in the stomach. She didnât even exert
much force.
Clayton collapsed onto the shards of the vase, and blood soon covered the whole floor.
âWhy are you so clumsy? Canât you see shards all over the floor? I know you want to die, but you donât
need to do it this way, right?â
Clayton fumed.
He tried to clamber to his feet, but his attempts were futile. Sophieâs kick had been a heavy one.
All he could focus on at that moment was the agony that spread across his entire body.
Right then, Willow struggled to her feet and picked up the gun from the floor. Then, she aimed it at
Sophieâs head.
Clayton was baffled by the scene.
So I made the wrong move. Willowâs relationship with Sophie is indeed terrible.
Sophie furrowed her brows. What is this idiot going to do this time?
âSophie, youâve always looked down on me, havenât you? Youâve always thought of me as a joke!â
Willow snarled.
Sophie didnât even want to reply to Ysabelleâs accusation.
âSo you want to kill someone with a gun, but do you even know how to use one?â Does she really think
that anyone is capable of killing someone?
âSophie Tanner!â Willow warned, her tone laced with warning.
Even now, sheâs still looking down on me!
âDonât you know that I hate people like you the most? Youâre always so full of yourself. You always think
that youâre the best and that no one can compare to you. Who do you think you are? Why do you think
you have the right to look down on me?â
Sophie remained silent.
She didnât even want to engage in a conversation with an idiot like Willow.
âWhy, you say? Itâs because youâre an idiot and Iâm not!â
Even when Willow was pointing a gun at Sophieâs head, Sophie was still calm and composed.
âLet me give you a piece of advice: Get lost and stop trying to make your presence known.â
Grandpa will probably be worried sick if Willow is sent to jail. Heâs old, and he wonât be able to
withstand such a blow. Thatâs why I made arrangements for him to be sent to the resort.
âHa. Even now, youâre still being so stubborn. Well, Iâve lost everything now, so Iâm going to let you
have a taste of what itâs like to be me!â
Sophie has always looked down on me since we were children. Regardless of everything, Iâm going to
teach her a lesson this time!
Meanwhile, Clayton, enduring the pain, climbed to his feet. He then walked over to Willow and said with
a smile, âAs expected of my fiancée. Youâre still on my side even at a time like this. Do you see this,
Sophie? Youâre such a failure in life. Even your own sister wants you dead!â
Clayton had finally regained his confidence at that moment.
âWilla, give me the gun. Donât worry. Iâll take you away from here. You wanted to live a wealthy life,
right? Iâll give you that too.â
At that, Sophieâs lips curled into a mocking smile.
âWhat an idiot.â
I really canât expect anything from Willow. Sheâs always surprising me in all kinds of unpleasant ways.
âYouâre still looking down on me!â Willow shrieked, losing her mind. âIâm going to kill you for this!â
She had been sensitive to the difference between her and Sophie since young. Thus, she had done
everything in her power to earn her parentsâ affection and perform well in everything. She did all that to
garner her familyâs attention.
âWillow, give me the gun,â Sophie said, knowing that it would be dangerous, for Willow didnât know how
to use a gun.
âAnd you! Youâve always wanted to use me, right? You never loved me. Instead, you looked down on
me, too!â
Willowâs fury only grew more intense as she stared at Clayton.
âIf you didnât love me, why would you want to get engaged to me? Donât you know youâve humiliated
me?â Willow questioned.
She had been walking on eggshells, trying to get into his good books, but his betrayal was what she
received in return.
Claytonâs face paled when the gun was aimed at him.
âI came today to take you to get our marriage certificate, didnât I? Donât listen to her; sheâs trying to sow
discord between us. We can get married anytime as long as you say so.â
âHa! How can a murderer like you possibly be worthy of me? I canât believe youâre still thinking of
marrying me! Keep dreaming!â
Iâll never marry a murderer!
A dangerous glint flashed past Claytonâs eyes at that.
âWho told you that Iâm a murderer? You donât even have any evidence! How can you say such
nonsense?â Clayton growled out.
There was no way he was going to let others call him a murderer.
It was Sophieâs turn to watch the drama from the side.
So this is how idiots fight against each other.
âOh, just ignore me. Please carry on.â Really, the two of them can just treat me as if Iâm air.
Tristan and Felix were waiting downstairs when a gunshot rang out upstairs.
The two men panicked, and they promptly rushed toward the stairs.
âMr. Tristan, itâs dangerous. Itâs best for you not to go up there!â After finding out about Tristanâs identity,
there was no way the police were going to allow him to risk his life.
