Chapter 443
Changing only for her (Sophie and Tristan)
âMrs. Tanner, please stop talking,â Morgan snapped when he saw the gloomy look on Josiahâs face.
Upon saying her piece, Charmaine turned around and stormed off as she saw no reason to back down.
Despite painstakingly raising three children, this is my reward. How can this be fair? Having spent so
many years in the Tanner family, Iâm sure my efforts must count for something!
Speechless, Josiah shook his head.
âAll right now, Iâm fine. Just give Sophie a call.â Iâm nothing but a failure to have allowed the situation to
end up this way.
âRight away.â
The moment Sophie received the call, she dropped whatever she was doing and rushed over.
Upon her arrival, Morgan summarized what happened to her.
Despite Grandpaâs old age, they keep causing problems to make him worry.
Sophie felt bad for her grandfather, as within the Tanner family, no one understood him at all.
âGrandpa, donât worry. Didnât I tell you that Iâll deal with it?â
âSoph, I know both of you are estranged, but sheâs still my granddaughter. I really donât want to see her
live in regret.â
Even though Josiah knew it was wrong to blackmail Sophie emotionally, there was no one else in the
family he could turn to.
âGrandpa, Do you not trust me when I told you not to worry?â
For the sake of her grandfather, Sophie was still capable of resolving the matter.
âIn that case, you have to act fast. Otherwise, it would be too late once they have gotten married.â
Since it was impossible for her to let Clayton off the hook, the only option she had was to stop the
wedding.
âAll right. Anyway, Iâm sure you must be bored staying at home all day, right? Why donât I invite a few of
your old comrades to go on a trip with you?â
A trip to a nearby mountain resort would do him some good. Itâs not far and isnât too physically
demanding.
âOkay. Iâll leave the arrangements to you then.â
Josiah, too, didnât want to stay at home and get on everyone elseâs nerves.
âOkay. In that case, you should prepare to leave first thing tomorrow morning.â
I remember that Grandpa has a few close friends. Iâll invite all of them then!
After spending two hours with Josiah, Sophie left when she had nothing else to do.
âMorgan, you should drop everything at home and go with Grandpa to the mountain resort.â Wherever
Josiah went, he would make sure Morgan was by his side.
âWill do, Ms. Sophie. Donât worry. Iâll definitely take good care of Old Mr. Tanner.â Sophie didnât have to
worry as long as he was by Josiahâs side.
âI appreciate everything that youâve done recently.â
âMs. Sophie, Iâm willing to do anything for the sake of Old Mr. Tanner.â
Upon Sophieâs return to TS Entertainment, Ysabelle was already waiting for her.
âSophie, youâre finally back. Hurry up and pack, as we need to go to school now to fill out our choice of
university.â
It was necessary for them to make a trip there because the website could only be accessed from the
school intranet.
Sophie glanced at the time.
âLetâs just do it here instead.â Itâs just too troublesome to run around filling up some forms.
âFill them here? Are we allowed to do that? Donât you know that itâs compulsory for us to do it in
school?â
âWith me around, everythingâs possible.â Sophie led Ysabelle to her office and turned on her computer.
Standing by the side, Ysabelle watched Sophieâs fingers dance across the keyboard until they reached
the university application page.
âSophie, your hacking skills are amazing!â Ysabelle exclaimed. âTo be honest, I wonder if thereâs
anything in this world that you donât know.â
âThere is. Plenty in fact,â Sophie replied earnestly. She then asked, âWhat do you plan to put as your
first choice?â
Sophie had logged in without needing to ask for Ysabelleâs account username and password.
Ysabelle pondered upon the question.
âPut Jipsdale University as my first choice.â This is the only thing I can promise my dad. Since Dad
objected to me joining the entertainment industry, he would blow his top if I were to reject his choice of
university.
âHave you made up your mind?â
Sophie felt that the choice required careful consideration.
âI have.â
âGood. And which major will you choose?â
âInternational trade and finance!â In the end, Ysabelle decided not to let her father down.
Sophie said, âAll right. When you no longer feel like singing, you can go on to do something else.â
Life is filled with possibilities. The choices made now donât determine the rest of oneâs life.
âThat will never happen. I know how much I love doing it,â Ysabelle replied. Chasing my passion is the
only reason why I disobeyed my father in the first place.
Even though her father was strict, she knew that he had her best interests at heart.
Working in the entertainment industry was a tough slog, and that was the reason why her father was
reluctant to let her join it.
âAll right. Regardless of what you have chosen, you have my full support.â Sophie had already
completed the application for her.
After filling up Ysabelleâs subsequent choices, Sophie exited the formerâs account and logged into her
own.
âWhat about you? Have you decided?â Iâm sure she has already made up her mind.
âYsabelle, Iâm not going to Jipsdale University.â
Jipsdale University might be the best university in the city with many students dying to get into it, but
Sophie felt as if there was nothing more she could learn there.
âWhat? Youâre not going?â Can we still hang out in the future if thatâs the case? Ysabelle continued to
ask, âWhere do you plan to go then?â
âThe University of Medicine right next to Jipsdale University.â
âI see. I think itâs a good choice too. At the very least, the two schools are close to each other, and I can
see you whenever I miss you.â
After all, Ysabelle had no intention of being apart from Sophie.
âNow that youâre an artiste under TS Entertainmentâs stable, weâll still see each frequently, anyway.â
âBut I still want to see you in school!â Ysabelle whined. Itâs even better if we could travel to school
together.
âFine. All that matters is that youâre happy.â Sophie had no further comments about the matter.
âSophie, whatâs with that indifferent attitude of yours? At the very least, show some enthusiasm, or itâll
look as if the feeling isnât mutual!â
Itâs embarrassing for me!
âIâm happy to be studying in the school next to yours. Satisfied?â
âMmm-hmm, indeed I am!â Ysabelle nodded.
There was no way she would say otherwise in front of Sophie, who was the idol she adored.
âSophie, to be honest, I think youâre ready to go professional. The way you performed on the stage was
absolutely mesmerizing!â
If she launches her career, Iâm sure men and women alike will be captivated by her!
In response, Sophie said, âAll right now, thatâll be all with regard to this matter.â
