"Your dress matches the Alphas tuxedo, and he sweeps you off your feet for a dance? Coincidence I think not," Bethany said raising her eye brows. She chased me out of the ballroom. My breathing became ragged and she noticed, "are you ok Z?"

I shook my head.

"Hello ladies, here alone without an arm to lean on," Aiden comes over with another guy. B rolls her eyes.

"Now is not the time, Aiden," I leaned against the wall, for a split second my eyes met the strangers.

"Oh but now is the perfect time, our dates fell through and y'all are, well here. See what I'm getting to?"

I shook my head, "No way!"

He looked at Bethany, "You remember the promise you made me, B."

I look over at Bethany wanting to know the promise she rolled her eyes and sighed.

"Fine, fine, whatever," she pushed me towards Aiden where he caught me by linking arms. I look behind us to see Bethany and the guy linking arms. Whats going on here, I questioned.

We walked back into the ball room arm in arm. I did not approve of it and neither did Nina. She practically screamed for me to get away. In turn I blocked her out. At last I shrugged Aiden off and hurried over to Bethany who was surrounded by a group of girls.

"Zaria there you are! One minute you were in front of us next your no where to be found," she did that fake laugh thing and I rolled my eyes.

"Can we talk Please?" I asked.

"Hey, aren't you the girl that Aiden escorted in?" I turned towards the girl and nodded my head, "and also the girl the Alpha danced with you. How did that happen?" I shrugged my shoulders.

"Yah how did that happen?" Another asked.

"They're also kind of matching," my eyes widened.

"My dress was an accident I didn't get the memo of it being a black and white ball," I motioned towards their dresses.

"That still doesn't explain why The Alpha danced with you."

I mentally groaned, "Simple, I was in the way. He was trying to get out of an awkward conversation, and I just happened to be there. Talk about right place at the right time," I nervously laughed.

"Hm must be," she turned around and walked off with someone else.

I turned back to bethany who was no longer in her spot and instead on the dance floor with that stranger. I sighed. Looking around the room I located my sister, the only other person I know at this ball, and made my way towards her.

She's surrounded by her usual group of people, "Hey,"

She turned around and smiled at me, "I've been meaning to catch you," her smile seemed to widened when she saw me.

"Well I'm here."

We should be with out mate! Nina pushed her way through the barrier. I ignored her as my sister began talking.

"So I saw you met Oliver, y'all two were after all dancing together, how did that happened?"

I gave her a questioning look. Who is Oliver. The whole group turned and we were now the center of attention.

"Oliver?" I questioned.

She rolled her eyes," the alpha. Your supposed to be the smart one lil sis."

"I didn't dance with the al-" I stopped mid sentence.

You've finally realized it. Your mate is the famous alpha known world wide for his travels. You are Luna! My wolf spoke drowning out everything else. I shook my head. No this can't be. I can't be Luna I can't even face a crowd without breaking down!

"Hello!" Vanessa snapped her finger in front of my face, "block Nina out we're having a conversation here!"

"I'm sorry what?"

"Why did you dance with Oliver?"

"I was in the way it was an accident I promise."

It was destiny! You couldn't face up to your fears so destiny-and the moon goddess- had to bring you two together! I ignored Nina.

"Oh ok," she turned on her heels and walked in the opposite direction leaving me alone. Everyone followed her as she went. Sighing I started to make my way to the back.

Coming to this ball was a mistake from the beginning. I should have never came!

You can't leave! Our mate is still here. And with that Nina took control. No matter how much I fought her she won for she is strong than me. I was pushed to the back forced to watch. I didn't stop fighting though.

Oliver was in the far corner with my sister and her group.

Please Nina, stop, don't do this! I pleaded banging on the invisible barrier.

She continued to control my body and walk towards them while I was having a mental break down. This could not be happening! I'm so weak I can't even control my own wolf! We finally reached the group and their eyes came upon me again, but specially his eyes met mine.

"Did you need something while we were taking earlier?" Vanessa was first to speak. Venom dropped from every word she spoke. She couldn't tell Nina was in control and she didn't want me here.

At last I pushed through the barrier Nina put up. Sighing in relief I looked up at Vanessa. I could feel his eyes shooting lasers into the side of my head.

"Y-yes. Keys p-please," my voice broke under the pressure.

He chuckled and looked down trying to cover it up by placing his hand over his mouth and fake coughing.

"Oh your going home?"

I nod my head, "I can run home though. It will be a quick trip if you want to keep the car."

Vanessa nodded her head, "You could have brought your car, I need mine sorry sis," his head popped up at the mention of sis. At this point I just needed to get away.

"It's fine I'll see you at home," I turned hiked up my dress, and fast walked almost ran out, but for some reason I could still feel him. Turning around I see him behind me, a ways away but still behind me. I quicken my pace only to get caught yet again. I suck in a breathe as he shoves me into the elevator just before the doors close shut.

I cursed under my breath. He was to quick for me.

"So I've come to the conclusion of either your really shy, or you just really don't want to be my mate."

I had my back to him. I will not look at him. I cannot look at him. I squeeze my eyes shut.

"Do you know who you are, " I spoke for the first time- slow and steady, as to remember my words- my back still towards him.

"I would like to think so."

I squeeze my eyes shut even tighter as possible, "You are the alpha of the second biggest pack in America! I was afraid of meeting my mate but now, now I'm terrified," I put my hands on the railing in front of me.

"You should be beyond happy. You get to be Luna and you also get to be with me."

"Luna, everyone want to Luna. Right?" I dryly laughed.

"Turn around."

"I don't want to."

"Please, turn around," he pleads with me I can hear the desperation in his voice. He was showing me his vulnerable side.

I shook my head on the verge of tears.

The elevator doors opened, "I understand Luna tough roll to take on, but you were made for me so you were also made to be Luna. I'll step through this door and won't bother you anymore, or you come with me."

I for the first time i opened my eyes and looked towards him as he stepped out with his back towards me.

Go you idiot!

This is a decision I have to make for myself. Stay in the elevator or follow my one true love?
