I Love You More, Cade by Coral Hume ( Nydia and Jackson)
Chapter 75
The cruise ship came to an emergency stop. People were caught up in this sudden panic.
The patrolling staff found Nydia lying on the ground and brought her back to the lounge on the first floor. They gave her a glass of water.
After taking in some water, Nydia finally could speak.
She dragged her heavy body and pushed open the door to walk out.
She kept praying in her heart that Josephine would be fine.
The deck of the first floor was filled with people.
Nydia pushed through the crowd. The next second, she was stunned.
Cade held Josephine tightly in his arms and growled in pain.
Josephineâs hands hung by her sides. Under her red dress, his stomach was bulging like a ball.
Nydia trembled violently and almost lost her balance.
She did not dare to think about that outcome, nor did she dare to look at Cadeâs expression.
However, her eyes fixed on Cadeâs face, and she could not look away.
Cade was drenched. The water in his hair dripped heavily on Josephineâs body.
He slowly raised his head. His terrifying scarlet eyes were filled with maliciousness and hatred. He glared at Nydia, wishing he could skin her alive.
âSomeone said she was with you when she was alive?â he shouted at Nydial angrily. âWhat exactly did you tell her?â
Nydiaâs ears were ringing from the shout. Her heart ached as she sucked in a breath of cold air. âI didnât tell her anything. I didnât push her either. She jumped down herself.â

âIsnât using your Mrs. Jacksonâs title to provoke her enough? Cade said agai the hatred in his eyes replaced by pain. âNydia, she doesnât deserve to die!
He seemed to be certain that Josephineâs death was caused by Nydia.
Nydia froze on the spot in shock. Her heart fell into a bottomless pit of ice in a second. It shattered and could no longer be pieced together.
The helicopter rumbled overhead, and then the crowd came and went like phantoms. All kinds of voices came together and exploded in Nydiaâs ears.
The world spun, and everything suddenly turned black.
When she woke up again, she was lying in a warmâcolored guest room.
Alison and Troy stayed by her side.
âMs. Sharp, youâre finally awake.â Alison wiped her tears excitedly.
Nydia struggled to sit up, but Troy held her down. âLie down a little longer. The cruise ship will enter the harbor soon.â
âWhat happened to me?â Nydia asked with a frown.
âThe doctor said that you have low blood sugar.â Alison quickly said. âYou scared us to death just now.â
âLow blood sugar? I had never been in such a situation before, Nydia wondered.
âMiss Brooks drowned. Cade brought her body back to Creekheim.â Troy said.
âSheâs really dead! She gambled with her life that Cade would choose her. Unsurprisingly, she won. She wanted Cade to live the rest of his life with guilt for her and hatred for me. What a lunatic!â said Nydia inwardly.
Troy looked at Nydiaâs pale face and shaky body. He could not bear to see her like this, walking over to stop her and patting her shoulder gently. âWe all know that you will not kill her. You canât do that.â
Hearing this, Nydia suddenly laughed.

Her eyes were so red that they looked like they were about to bleed.
Everyone who had just met her believed her, but the person she had worked hard for five years did not.
How ridiculous.
She lay down slowly. There was no emotion in her tone. âI want to be alone for a while.â
âOkay, weâll go back after you have a good rest. Troy tucked her in and followed Alison out.
Nydia was really tired and wanted to rest for a while.
However, tears fell from the corners of her eyes when she closed her eyes.
Her palm was bleeding from the clench, and her heaving chest gradually calmed down.
Nydia had been having nightmares.
In her dream. Cade grabbed her neck and questioned her angrily, âWhy did you kill Josephine? Why werenât you the one who died?â Nydia begged him to believe her, but he pushed her into the sea mercilessly.
âAh!â Nydia screamed and woke up.
Troy quickly put down the document in his hand and looked at Nydia worriedly. âNydia. whatâs wrong?â
Her entire body was in pain.
Nydia glanced sideways and saw the blue sky and white clouds surrounding them outside the small window. It was beautiful and illusory.
Troy sent her back to Creekheim on a private plane.
âWhen will we arrive?â She looked at Troy blankly, her voice calm.
âHalf an hour later.â
They were almost at Creekheim, and the temperature had dropped. Troy

gently pulled the blanket around her and asked, âDid you have a nightmare?â
Nydia remained in the same position and did not reply.
Her lifeless look made Troy panic. He frowned and said. âIâve put pressure on the investigators. The results will probably be out in an hour or two. Donât worry. Iâll clear your name.â
âThank you,â Nydia said.
There were still no fluctuations in her emotions.
Troy knew what she was thinking and felt a little helpless. He reached out and touched her head. âWeâre friends. Thereâs no need to talk about this. Sleep a little longer. Iâll wake you up when we get there.â
*****
It was the end of the year in Creekheim.
Above the white snow, the streets and alleys were filled with festive, colorful lamp bulbs. Every family surrounded the furnace and talked in harmony. It was a peaceful atmosphere.
The Jackson Groupâs gray skyscrapers stood in the center of the atmosphere. looking a little cold.
Nydia stood alone in front of the door of the central building. She raised her head and looked up. Snowflakes fell into her eyes.
The cold wind blew into her neck. She didnât seem to feel cold at all and walked straight in.
Troy wanted to follow, but she rejected him. This was between her and Cade. No one should be involved.
âMiss Nydia!â A voice suddenly came from behind.
