Chapter 19

RYDER’S POV****

I was downstairs with my guests waiting for Chloe so I could introduce her to everyone seated there, but there was no sign of her so I had to go upstairs to check up on her.

Even while I strode through the stairs, I could tell that something was wrong, Chloe was in her heat and it was only a matter of time before it got to her, but hearing a loud moaning coming from her room, My Lycan became so furious, the beast inside of me trying to lush out but I was trying everything in my power to control it until I couldn’t and it took over me in its form standing tall, dark and filled with rage.

1 smashed the door open and Alpha Noah was caressing her as if she belonged to him, the anger inside of me grew more tense and unbearable that all could do was jerk him up away from her and throw him away to the wall, the glass table closed to him came smashing to the ground.

That was not enough for me or the beast inside of me, I picked up part of the broken bottle and pierced him hard to his side blood pouring out from his side and mouth while he groaned loudly trying to defend himself.

“How dare you get close to my Lama, I warned you not to go close to her even just a close and yet you had your hands on her” I growled so loud as I grasped him up again and shoved him to the ground, shattering the bookshelves there.

Aiden, Amelia, and Ashley all rushed in, seeing the sense before them, their eyes popped out knowing that no one could stop me at this point,

“What are we going to do now, he is going to murder Alpha Noah and that will be breaking the peace treaty they all signed!” Amelia’s voice was in panic and so were her gaze as he grabbed onto Aiden who could not fathom what to do.

“You know how he is when he is this furious, no one can stop him”

“Your majesty, please you need to stop!!” Amelia cried out hoping that I would hear her voice and. stop but I was filled with so much rage, I knew that once I got to my brink I was going to explode and it definitely wasn’t going to be good for Noah.

“The Lunal” Aiden suddenly blurted out with a glint of hope

“What are you talking about?” Amelia who seemed lost asked.

“I have seen her calm him down in a situation like this, perhaps she can do it again” Aiden explained and rushed over to Chloe who was still lying on the bed barely awake.

“Luna! You have to stop his majesty else he might do something he will have to regret… Please yourself together!!” He jerked her up and her eyes seemed to be more open.

“What should I do?” She asked calmly.

“As him to stop” He ordered but when she managed to get on her feet, it wasn’t what she was asked to do that she went ahead to do.

I held Noah up for the last time, and this time, I was going to pierce my claws deep into his skin when I felt her tender hands grab me from behind and wrap her arms around me although they could barely cover half of my b*dy.

“Ryder… Stop… Please…..” She gasped for breath and even at that moment, I could not comprehend why this girl was my weak point, it felt like she had a switch used on me and each word from her sent me to the edge,

I came to a halt and threw Noah away without regarding where he fell, turning around to meet her weak gaze at me, I cupped her face in my large hands knowing that this was all my fault.

“I am sorry Chloe, this is all my fault, I should have given you more attention when you asked for it, I am sorry that I caused this”

“I am sorry Ryder, I let him get to me despite all the pain that he put me through, I should have stopped myself, I tried but I couldn’t”

“Shi… You do not need to say a word, it is all my fault and I can promise you that you won’t be alone, ever again, I will take you to the west wing and have all your things moved down there”

I assured her before hauling her up into my arms in the most tender way and scurried out of there.

Ashley immediately rushed over to Noah but even as I passed by, I could see a smoke on Amelia’s face with a wave of relief.

“Alpha! Alpha!! “Ashley called out as she held him, but he was gasping for breath, his entire b*dy. filled with blood.

“Someb*dy please help me carry him up!!” She cried out but Aiden and Amelia who were both furious at his offer stood there staring at him.

“He can stay there forever, he is an Alpha and will heal quickly” Aiden who wasn’t ready to give her a helping hand assured her before stepping away from the room.

“You should not call him your man if you are unable to put him on the leash, it is your fault that this happened today, find your way around him and wrap your claws else next time he sl*ps away, he will be too far away from you that you won’t be able to recover”

Luna Amelia advised before also stepping away and leaving just the both of them to sort herself. 1 stride towards the west wing with Aiden tagging along. “Your majesty, what are we going to do about the guests downstairs?”

He asked seeing that I was about retiring to my chamber with Chloe. Tell them my Luna is not feeling too well and we will be having dinner with them tomorrow”

“Your Sire!” He bowed his head and walked away.
