Amelia stared down at me, her eyes filled with concern, no doubt she could see through me. She had always had that gaze at me, hoping that one day, I could find happiness, which was next to impossible.

“You do not look so good, I thought getting a wife was going to change everything”

“Is that supposed to be a joke because it did not sound like one, how have you been Amelia, your were silent all through the meeting”

“You seemed so worked up as it is, I wouldn’t want to add up to your burden”

“So you think that speaking out your opinion was going to get me worked up”

“You have a lot on your plate, I wouldn’t want to add to it. So where is she, the girl who finally melted that steel heart of yours” We were both striding towards my room, but I stopped to get a glance at her.

“You think that I am in love with her?” I asked and yet all she did was chuckle. “I have known you for a while now Ryder and I can tell when there is something different with you, why did you marry her knowing how dangerous it could be?”

She asked but I had no answer to that question, I was so drawn to her that I forgot about everything, it first like my brain stopped working and all I could think of was Chloe.

“The pack needed a Luna and I gave them one, that is all that matters!”

“So what are you going to do about the rogues?”

“Nothing much, set some trap and wait for their next action, hopefully, I can get a good view of the weapon that way I will be certain of what I am going up against

“I trust your judgment, just be careful out there” I nodded my head while she followed me to my chambers as we talked and laughed casually.

CHLOE’S POV***

It was almost dark and time for dinner, I had been requested to be downstairs considering we had. guests who couldn’t wait to meet the new Luna, but I had been feeling pains all through the day, and it hadn’t been easy keeping up with it.

But halfway through the stairs was Noah standing on the balcony to the second floor, no doubt he had been waiting for me.

“Chloe hi”

“It is Luna now and you will address me as that!” I rebuked and made to walk out on him, but he held my hand, stopping me from taking any further action.

“Look Chloe I know that you are still angry at me and you should be, but I felt so guilty which is why I called if the wedding with Ashley, that way you see how sincere I am” He explained and I could not help but scoffs.

“Sincere! You cheated on me with my sister, rejected our mate bond right in front of everyone and now you want to show me your sincerity, I think that I have seen enough of it”

“Please Chloe, now that Ashley is no longer in the picture, you can come back to me, and let’s start afresh, it is dangerous for you to be here, during the meeting with the Alphas, the king almost snapped, imagine what would happen if it is just the both of you in a room, he will murder cold blood and no one will come to your rescue”

“I do not care what he chose to do with me, but Ryder is my second half now and I am never leaving him, ever!”

“Are you sure about it, you know how much you always wanted me” His voice was calm, and he pinned me to the wall, his l*ps brushing my n*eck and as he sniffed in, a smile curled up his l*ps.

“Oh, Mine! You are in your heart and he hasn’t marked you yet, perfect time and you will be all mine forever”

“Get away from me!!” I shoved him away from me, but that did not keep him away for long, he strode back towards me and placed a k*ss softly on my l*ps as I shivered, his touch had a sensitive reaction on me, and no doubt it was because of the heat.

“Go away, Noah… Please” I begged with my head spinning and my b*dy feeling weak. “You know you do not want that, I know how much you want me inside of you, so just go ahead and say it, say it Chloe that you want to be mine”

His l*ps k*ssed every part of my n*eck but I was so weak, it was like a drug, pushing me to my edge to do the unthinkable. I whispered some inaudible words and although he was unable to hear the words that I spoke, he assumed that it meant I wanted him as he hauled me up in his arm and scurried towards my room.

“Such a lovely room you have here and I can’t wait to hear you moan out my name, I have always longed for this day when you can be mine.” He placed me on the bed and his hands caressed my b*dy, I tried to fight back, I tried to stop him, but my wolf wanted it, whatever way she could get out of this heat was all that mattered at that moment.

“Stop…. Please….” I manage to speak but my words meant nothing to him, he continued to k*ss and sucked my b*dy so lavishly that I could not help but moan softly.

“Yes Chloe, moan out my name and tell me how bad you want me deep inside of you” He commanded with his hands and mouth relishing my b*dy, I was so wet that I wanted him badly inside of me but I knew how wrong it was, it was this same man who humiliated and rejected me right before everyone that I was giving up my b*dy to again.

and just then, the door swung open and a loud growl could be heard as the room trembled at his voice.
