Aiden steered the car back to the pack house and when he finally came to a halt right before the large mansion, I scurried inside.

I swung the large wooden door to Chloe’s room open and inside was Carmel, Rose, and Doctor Edward.

“Your majesty!” They all bowed in unison, but I wasn’t interested in their formalities as I rushed. over to Chloe and sat close to her bedside. Her entire b*dy was filled with sweat, she was burning red and no doubt this was the effect of wolvesbane.

“What the hell happened to her, why is she in such a condition!!” I roared that they were all filled with fear regarding what my next action might be.

“I am sorry Your Majesty I think that she might have consumed some wolfsbane is burning inside of her which her wolf is unable to bear, but you have nothing to worry about, it is just a small amount of it and if only she agreed to take the drugs, then she will be fine right now, instead she refused”

“Carmel, I put her under your care, you had one simple instruction to look after her and you let this happen”

“I am so sorry Your Majesty think that this is a deliberate act on her side because she hasn’t eaten or drunk anything from the pack house since she arrived“. Carmel explained as I drifted my gaze to Chloe who was burning in pain.

“Chloe, what happened?”

“I wanted to see you, but they said that I couldn’t, this was the only way that I could get you to come”

“So you did this to yourself?”

“I am sorry, I just wanted to see you” She lowered her head with her l*ps pouted out like a kid who. just had her candies taken away, she was so cute that even if I wanted to be angry at her, I couldn’t.

“Let me have the drugs, I will give it to her myself, you all can leave!” I ordered and the doctor immediately handed the drugs in a white ceramic plate to me before exciting exiting, Rose also bowed her head and retired but Carmel seemed to be reluctant for a while, her gaze deep and glaring at Chloe until she finally left the room.

“Now have some drugs, else it might only cause your wolf to grow more weak” I explained and she accepted the drugs for me. Once she had taken it, no doubt I began to see the effect on her as her temperature cool down.

“Are you avoiding me?” She finally asked with her eyes glued to me like I could run away this

instant.
