Both ladies turned to stare at each other before Carmel walked closer to me, perhaps in an attempt

to console me.

“I am sorry Luna, but you can’t speak to the King right now” Her voice was stern and she wanted me to understand that she had the authority here.

“Why can’t I, you said that I could ask for anything that I wanted, I want to speak to his majesty

“His Majesty isn’t some commodity that you can just request for, I know that you are not familiar with his majesty, but he doesn’t like being ordered on what to do, and trust me, it is not going to end well for you.

”

“But I am his wife, why can’t I speak to him?”

“He is the Lycan king as such, he is busy, he will come to you when he chooses to ” She replied and I felt like my endurance was on it brink, I placed the cutleries that I was holding carefully on the glass table, stood up and headed back for my room without saying another word to her.

Rose was ensuing behind, but I could tell that she was trying to give me some space. He was a man everyone was afraid of and the story of how he had murdered all his mates never left the l*ps of my friends at Bay Pack, but yet my heart was longing desperately for this beast.

I was back to the same bed that I woke up a few hours ago, Rose stood close to my bedside as she spoke.

“I know that it is not in my place to say this, but his majesty is not always sweet, he can be dangerous sometimes, so I think that it is in your best interest that you do not see him”

“I am going to die either way, so why prolong the inevitable?” I muttered out with my hands wrapped around my chest.

“What! Why would you think so?”

“Didn’t you just say it yourself, that he is a dangerous man, I know what awaits me, so I am not afraid”

“Can we not talk about something like this now, how about you come with me, while I show you the rest of the pack house, I am certain that every maidservant in this packed house will be thrilled to meet you”

“That isn’t a bad idea, at least I can get my mind off things” I rose to my feet, she smiled victorious. and led the way.

RYDER’S POV****

At the west wing of the pack house, I had just concluded a meeting with the council when Aiden stepped into my chamber carrying a tray containing a cup of coffee and some pancakes.

“Breakfast is served, you should have a few bite before we set out to the new territory, the wolves guiding the boundary reported to have seen some rogues lurking around, it wouldn’t be a surprise to find out that they have their eyes on it”

“The Rogues, they seemed to be growing in numbers recently, I think that it is high time we stop them for good before they grow more powerful, get the car ready, we need to scout the place as soon as possible”

“What about Chloe, how is she getting along with the environment?”

“Not well I would say”

“What are you talking about?” I immediately dropped the cup of coffee that I was holding, my attention now glued to him.

“She refused to have breakfast this morning and insisted on speaking to you, she seems disturbed, perhaps you should go over and see her”

“Why would she have to stave, if she isn’t comfortable with the meal prepared, then ask her choice and have it sent to her, I specifically gave the instructions that all her needs should be met”

“Unfortunately her only need right now is you, you haven’t marked her yet, and it might become an issue if she gets on her heat period, what are you going to do about it?”

“I don’t know, I didn’t think that far and now it is going to be an issue”

“You had S*x with her and there wasn’t an issue, why are you scared of marking her?”

“I had luck then because I wasn’t married to her then, now things have changed and I do not think that I am going to get that lucky again and if I should ever hurt her, I won’t be able to forgive myself”

I explained to him as I sighed loudly knowing that I only wanted this marriage so that I could get her away from her abusive family and boyfriend and now that I was certain that she was safe, that was all that mattered to me.

By noon, we set out to the new territory that we had just obtained, halfway through the journey, Aiden received a call from Carmel.

“Hello, gamma!” Her voice sounded anxious as soon as he picked up.

“Yes Carmel, what is going on?”

“Is His Majesty with you, the Luna she is sick and won’t let the doctor inspect her to find out what is wrong, she is insisting on seeing his majesty before she would accept any treatment”

“His Majesty is away from the pack–house at the moment, how severe is her sickness?“

“She is burning up and has refused to eat or drink anything the entire day” Aiden opened his mouth to speak again, but I snatched the phone away from him, although I looked calm, my heart was racing rapidly.

“Carmel! Inform her that I would be there in a few minutes, Aiden turned the car back” I ordered as

I ended the call.

“But your majesty…

“There is no but here, this is the life of my Luna involved and nothing is more important than she is!! My deep voice came through as he reversed the engine of the car and drove back towards the pack house.
