Qiao Xiaomai didn’t know why the Zhang Family’s matriarch had suddenly rushed over to see her.

The matriarch gave Xiaomai a dirty look before storming out of the yard towards the gate.

After leaving Qiao Xiaomai’s house, she held her anger in as she walked home.

All the way, she mumbled insults about Qiao Xiaomai under her breath.

She was infuriating her!

Once she got home and saw Zhu Hongyun, she directed her rage onto her.

She had already had her doubts about making Qiao Xiaomai her daughter-in-law. Zhu Hongyun was the one who kept encouraging her, and look what happened—she’d lost face!

Hearing these words, the matriarch decided not to hit Zhu Hongyun anymore, she sat down on the bed to mull over why all three would be singing from the same hymn sheet.

One wanted to marry and the other wanted to receive, but now they were both denying it.
