Chapter 6

The Grateful Rejection

The woman picked up the herbs that grew on the foot of the ancient tree. She lightly picked them

up not trying to uproot it, when she had enough. She put the lid of the basket and began her

journey back home. She could have just transported herself but she like to go out and breath in

fresh air once in a while.1

Suddenly she felt a soul in distress, she furrowed her brows, it was not of a prey being hunted but of

a supernatural’s soul fighting what was not to this early. As a witch she can detect who's time has

come to an end but this soul's hasn't and now it is fighting for survival. She rushed to the source of

distress.1

When she reached a bank of a river she was horrified from the scene before her. A young girl barely

18 had her limbs disgustingly twisted in different directions, her face beaten to pulp with blood

oozing out of her stomach ribs legs and arms colouring the water around her. A coyote was

dragging the girls body by her shoulder. Petrified she ran towards them and threw the coyote away

with her powers. The coyote scared for it's life, ran away with it's tail between it's leg.1

She reached the girl and crouch down, she begin mumbling a spell which landed them in the older

woman's house with the young girl on the bed. The young girl was dead, there was no doubt in that

but her soul didn't left her body, as if it is waiting for something to happen.1

The witch firstly put the bones back into it's original place even the ones that came out of the flesh.

Her heart was beating in anger and pity, who would do such a thing to a girl. Such young at the

most. She could feel her soul, it was pure but something rotten had been clawing her for a very long

time.

When the bones were back into their places, she cleaned the wounds as fast as she could. There

were cloths and bowls swimming in the air, cleaning the girl's wound.

She went to her dungeon where all the herbs, portions and paste were made by her. With her

powers she made a powerful paste that heals a dead's wound. It took an hour to make it, she could

feel the soul of the girl slowly losing to death. She hurried to the girl's and magically applied it all

over her body and face. She already had a drink that speeds up a supernatural's ability heal and

stabilize the neurological working.

She had sensed the girl being a werewolf and just like what a werewolf would want she created a

big green bubble around her. Inside the bubble the werewolf can heal faster as the wolf would be

thinking it's in a Forest. The unbreakable bubble will not let her scent go out of it and will give her

warmth of all the smell the wolf enjoys.

Aurelia, the centuries old witch sat on the couch in the far end of the room. Looking at such a

youngling suffer so mercilessly is unearthly. How in the world can any being hurt such a pure soul.

In search of answers she made her way inside the bubble and sat near the head of the young one.3

She lightly placed her hands on both sides of her head and closed her eyes mumbling a spell in her

mind.

She was past a big gush of wind that sent her flying to the last memory of the young girl. Aurelia

stood in the middle of the dense forest, there were sound coming behind her. She turned to see a

distant tent setup for a ceremony. She hear two people talking a head of her, curiously she made

her way towards the sound. She saw the youngling crying and talking to another young man. The

man took her waist and pulled her to himself and timidly kissed her.

Aurelia was confused, they looked like a couple but what made her end up like the way she did. But

it didn't take long to figure out as a screeching voice came from behind. From there it was a rush,

everyone blaming the poor girl who was rolling on her back clutching her stomach as she wailed in

pain.

Aurelia watched in terror as the child's own parents broke her limbs and crushed her face. She

couldn't comprehend all the emotion she felt towards them, her hand were itching to help the

young woman but it doesn't matter what she does now. Tears flowed out of Aurelia’s eyes at the

mere brutality of the people who was supposed to be her family, love her and cherish her.

Her heart literally stopped beating when she saw two men forcing their way into the youngling. She

closed her eyes and turned her head crying as she heard the young one take her final breath. She

stood there rooted to her place when she saw a woman drag the juvenile drag her to the edge of

the cliff and throw her off it. Her knees buckle and she fell down on her knees crying for the little

girl.2

She removed her hands and kissed the girls forehead, "I'll take care of you, baby." she whispered

and came out of the room.

She was disgusted who how spiteful and barbaric a person could be, she was shaking in rage bit she

knew better than to act on the just yet. Then something unexpected happened, she felt a dead soul.

Scared she ran to the room and into the bubble, she was confused why did she feel like this when

the girl was now breathing, though shallow but still.

Then something in her told her to touch her stomach. When she did, she felt the youngling's child

dead in her womb. She stifled a cry and began to prepare to take out the fetus.2

Aurelia sat on the porch, drinking her herbal tea as she waited for her daughter to arrive. Moments

later she saw a worn out car pull up, she stood up in anticipation for her daughter to hug her. A

young woman came out of the car with a huge smile on her face. She shut the door and sprinted

towards her mother, "MMMMAAAA" She yelled and jumped on her mother. She pick Aurelia up in

her arms and spined her around. Aurelia felt drowsy after some round, "Now put me down, you'll

break your back" Aurelia scold laughed at her immature daughter.

Aurelia hugged her youngest daughter, Arora and kissed her forehead, "You've been gone for so

long" the mother commented and took her in with her arms wrapped around her shoulder. The

daughter looked guilty and looked up at her mother with her innocent eyes, "Sorry maa, the bakery

is not doing so well. I had to make so many changes, fire some people and hire new ones” she said

explaining her situation.

Cakery, it was a bakery Aurelia opened during the 1800's when income was very less by her

husband and children. The bakery had helped her in the past but now it is being more of a liability

than an asset but Aurelia didn't wanted to close it. She had too many memories there.

Arora sighed and went inside the house. She felt a presence of another supernatural in the house,

"Mom is there someone in the house?" She asked her mother cautiously, looking intently at the

door that lead to the young girl's room.

Aurelia looked at her daughter with a sad smile, "Yeah.. there is one youngling in the house.. * she

trailed off.

She took her daughter into the room where the young girl is healing. She looked at her daughter,

"Look at her memory" she said and went to sit on the nearby couch. She knew she was intruding her

privacy but things had to be done, what if she was an enemy or a psychopath or a serial killer. But

they were all paltry reasons, she had felt her pure soul.1

Her daughter came out of the bubble with a strained face, "H-H-how... Can someone do that to a

person” she said in disbelief.

"A family at the most??" She shuddered in disgust, "I could feel their undying hatred for her, they

were about to kill her anyway but the circumstances made their kill early.” she said and sat beside

her mother.

"I felt all of their emotions, I heard every thought running inside their head.. I guess this is one of

the cons of being a healer. You feel every thing they have felt" Aurora looked out of the window,

"How long?" She asked her mother.

Aurelia sighed, "It's been two weeks.. her body is healing at a normal pace, slower for a werewolf

but mentally... It's hard to tell” she said.

"I felt her child too" Aurora said after a moment, she looked to the bubble. "Her child mourns for

her mother, he wanted to see his mother" she said. Her eyes could see a small angel flying above

the girl.3

"She should be okay in a few more weeks" Aurelia said and took her daughter out of the room.

Aurelia had a strange connection to the youngling, a connection she couldn't pin point but she sure

will soon.

Nora's POV

Fire had consumed every cell of my body but then there was a wash of ice cold water, every second.

Neither could I scream in pain or sigh in relief. My insides felt dead, as if I have lost a part of me. I

was surprisingly in my wolf's sanctuary. A green field beside a big waterfall, there were greenery and

flowers everywhere. A smile made its way on my lips, everything here smells so fresh and calming.

Every nerve of my body began to sooth from the fire sensation that I had been feeling for a very

long time.

The grass beneath my feet felt relaxing I looked around and saw the cave in which my wolf usually

stays, I slowly made my way inside. Then I saw her, my eyes saucer wide. She was deformed, all her

bones were bent in abnormal directions her stomach wound slowly healing, her face looked like it

was being structured back into it's original shape. Something had crushed it, the gashes on her face

was still prominent.

I rushed to her, "Arya" I screeched and sat next to her as she kept on licking her wound. She looked

at me like a broken puppy, she nuzzled her head in my palms, taking in my warmth.

"Who did this to you?" I cried and wrapped my arms around her, carefully not to hurt her any

wound. She looked into my eyes and whimpered. All the memories crashed back into me.

I was shaking. I could only see red. Hating me is one thing but killing me and raping me? This is how

low they fell? Anger had replaced all the pity or love I had for them. I hated those bastards.

My wolf gave me a news I never thought I would hear. Our child is dead.1

I was then thrown out of the vision and I sat up looking around in the unknown room.

I was frozen, I was pregnant?

My wolf howled in pain of losing her unborn pup.

A sudden darkness took over me and my heart felt ice cold. I felt nothing but loath for those

people, all my life I have tried to be the perfect little girl in their eyes. I have struggled with

everything. I took every blow at me. I did everything. And in the end what did I get?

Raped.

My dead pup.

Murdered.

Thrown into the lake.

I'll come after each and everyone who made my life hell. Who took away the only ray of hope from

me, they took away my child. I'll take away their reason to breath.

I'll damn every soul who hurt me, used me, degraded me.
