**********************************

The class went by easily with a joyous air. Miss Angela Colin did not teach that day. She gave the class each one question to ask her, which she answered intelligently. Most of the guys flirted with her. It wasn't much of a surprise since she was a beautiful woman.

She had no boyfriend according to the question that Samuel, the local jock in their class asked. She was twenty-five, living alone in a house just nearby Elektra's, to her surprise. She was originally from a town that's far away from here and moved due to her teaching job.

During the question and answer session, Elektra could not take her eyes off her. Not in that way that you think of. Miss Colin made her suspicious. She found her presence quite odd to be honest. She appeared out of nowhere. This brought her to think about the night she fought with the Berserker.

She was not quite sure that she was the figure that she saw before she collapsed but her hair, that hair with that unique golden colour made her very suspicious of her. It made Elektra think that it might have been her, since they both have the same hair colour.

Moreover, even though she talked and appeared in such elegance and in a carefree way, Elektra could see the mysteriousness in her eyes. She was hiding something and she knew that there was more to Miss Colin than what she was seeing.

It had appeared that way when it was her turn to ask her something. Elektra's eyes stared straight into hers as she fired her question.

"Why are you here?" Elektra asked, her voice deeper than usual.

Miss Colin's lips lifted up in a smirk as her eyes shone as if she held a secret. "Well, Elektra Potter...it is because I was offered to teach here." She informed, her eyes held her like a snake, not wavering, no nervousness. "And my duty has brought me here." She added.

With that, resumed with the session and continued it until the bell rang. Before she left the classroom, Miss Colin had called her to stay, which made her even more tensed.

Blake told her that he would be seeing her at lunch. He gave her a gentle pat on her cheek before leaving her alone with the new teacher. As soon as the door closed, they stared at each other, like two tigress, both not blinking and backing down.

Elektra felt her Protector nature came out, her senses started to become clearer and adrenaline rushing in her veins.

Before she could ask her who she was, the woman in front of her squealed like a school girl before pulling her into a hug.

"Oh my god! It's you!" She gushed.

Ela stood there in her embrace with a very confused look on her face as she patted Miss Colin's back awkwardly. "Umm..."

Miss Colin squealed a little bit more before muttering an 'oops' and released her arms around her. She backed away as she beamed at her.

"I'm sorry. It's the Merlin genes, I tell you." She giggled.

"Umm..." Elektra gave her a perplexed look, which made Miss Colin, finally settled down from her excitement.

"Oh, dear! I'm sorry. You must be really surprised." She apologized before staring at Elektra's eyes again and grinned. "If you were a guy, I would marry you."

Her words made Elektra completely baffled, doubling her confusion at what was happening. Why was she so excited to meet her? She thought she was the enemy and yet, enemies do not tell the other person that they wanted to marry them.

"Thanks?" Elektra replied hesitantly.

Miss Colin grinned again before taking in deep breaths as she calmed herself. When she was done, she lifted her eyes to Elektra and gave her a soft smile.

"I'm sorry for my attitude. The Merlin genes are getting to me. Oh, how rude of me. Take a seat." She mentioned.

Before Elektra could grab a chair, Miss Colin's eyes glowed, like fireflies in the dark as she stared at the chair. The chair suddenly moved as it made its way to Elektra in a quick yet graceful movement.

She lifted her head from the chair and turned to Miss Colin who had a smile on her face. She stared at her, her eyes wide in shock, her mouth slightly opened.

"Wow, if I knew you'd react that way, I'd bring a camera." Miss Colin said with a smirk on her face.

"You're a witch." Elektra managed to say in a whisper as she numbly sat on the chair.

"I prefer the term sorceress instead of witch. Anyway, surprise." She exclaimed with a chuckle at the end.

Elektra frowned as she stared curiously at the witch in front of her. "Who are you?" She asked.

Miss Colin leaned forward to her, her arms settled on the table as she clasped her hands together.

"I am Angela Colin and I am Merlin's descendant." She informed with a smile.

A pregnant pause filled the air before Elektra broke it. "What?" She gasped.

"Yes, you heard me. It is possible. You're Arthur's heir, am I right?" She asked.

Elektra nodded as she answered her. "I am...but Merlin didn't...he didn't-"

"Well, many thought that Arthur did not have an heir too but he did. It's the same as Merlin." She answered. "So, as you know it...it's my duty to protect you." She said with seriousness in her tone.

Elektra couldn't believe this. The Merlin descendant was sitting in front of her. "Why now? Why haven't you been here since the start?" She asked.

Miss Colin's face fell. There were sadness and anger in her eyes as she spoke. "I'm sorry I haven't been there for you from the start. Things happened." She said guiltily. "As to your other question, we have to go a long way back." She smiled softly before continuing.

"None knew that Merlin had an heir but he did. He kept them hidden over the years for various reasons. They were kept safe and the Merlin family got bigger over the year. However, there can only be one with the power equivalent to Merlin. The chosen one. The one that can protect the Arthur's heir. It's the same with you- who are to be the next Protector- there can only be one. With that, the chosen one is kept hidden from the world, trained by Merlin to protect the 'next' Arthur."

"After Merlin's death, they still kept hidden and this time more carefully since no one could back them up anymore. After Camelot has fallen, the Merlin's descendants were hunted." She spoke grimly. "As you know...Arthur and Merlin had an arch enemy..."

"Morgana." Elektra answered her.

Nodding, she carried on. "Yes...and it turns out that Morgana had descendants as well." Miss Colin informed. "It's shocking, I know...no one knew about it until they attacked the Merlin's descendants. The Morgana's descendants weren't many but they were powerful and just like us, there's only one that carried such hatred and power as Morgana."

"Anyway, they hunted the Merlin descendants and killed them when they were able to get their hands on them. Since they did not know which one was truly the chosen one, they killed whichever one they see."

"Not many lived after that, both Morgana and Merlin's descendants. The only Morgana's heir disappeared before the Merlin's heir could kill her. The only one Merlin heir left and he made a good move by leaving the country. No one knew about the last heir. Most of them thought all Merlin descendants were dead. He used another name and hid his identity as he led a normal life. But Merlin's duty was never forgotten...nor was Morgana's revenge."

If you're wondering about Arthur's heir. He was raised as a peasant. Before Merlin died, he knew that Camelot would fall. The king was sick and dying. They did not stand the chance. There was only one Arthur's heir left, who was still a baby at that time. Intelligent as he was, Merlin took him secretly to a peasant family and asked them to raise him and of course, hide his identity. That was why no one knew there was actually an Arthur's heir...well, not until a few decades later."

Taking in a deep breath as she went to a pause, she leaned back in her chair before she continued.

"Now, to the present!" She said with a smile.

"There still were Merlin's descendants and we kept on training, every one of us so that we are ready to protect the Arthur's descendant, the one that was chosen by the sword since we knew Morgana's heir was somewhere out there. We knew the heir was coming back...and he would have his revenge. We kept hidden, no one knew about us. There were a few who known, all of them were witches and warlocks, and they had kept their word and swore to not spill anything about us."

"Unfortunately, there was a warlock who betrayed us. Bastard he is. We were attacked. The whole place was on fire...and some of the Merlin's descendants died. Even our brother...And there was only a few of us left. My sister and I convinced the elders that we should be the one to go and protect you since we were the powerful one among others." She smiled at the word of her sister.

"She was supposed to come here, to protect you...since she was the older one and more experienced...but she was married and has a child coming to this world soon. Besides that, she noticed how I was much, much stronger and more powerful than she was. She said so herself, even though I still don't feel like it though her words were always true. Somehow, Merlin's power and the genes are stronger in me and for that; we both knew...that I am the one to carry on Merlin's duty.... I'm the chosen one. I am the one who is destined to protect you.... So... here I am." She said, waving her hand in an elegant manner before bowing slightly.

Elektra could only look at her in awe. She had never known that there was a Merlin descendant or that Morgana had an heir. From Miss Colin story, she knew how much she had sacrificed for her. She felt pride for Miss Colin built in her somehow when she said that she was the chosen one and Elektra had no doubt that she would do her duty well.

Her mind snapped out from her thoughts when she remembered Miss Colin mentioning of Morgana's heir.

"Wait...you said that Morgana's heir is still out there..."

"Yes...and I knew that there have been strange things going on here which made me finally decide that I was good to go and that you needed me."

"So...you were the one in the forest. You're the one who made the Berserker back away....and you're the long lost cousin?" Elektra lilted. She looked at her in awe again with a smile on her face and gratefulness in her eyes.

Miss Colin smiled at her. "That was me. The one who was wearing the cloak. I couldn't stay long since I felt that there was someone out there as well at that time. I tried to catch on but the trail seems to disappear."

"So...you're saying that someone else was there?" Elektra asked with her eyebrows furrowed together.

"Yes..."Miss Colin answered. Her eyes suddenly fumed with anger. "And I think I know who that person was."

Seeing the anger in her eyes, Elektra could only assume. "It's the heir, isn't it?" She asked in a whisper.

Miss Colin seemed surprised that she was able to figure it out but nodded. "Magnus Griffin...He's the one...he's your enemy. He's the one who's been trying to take you down. He's the one that makes the strange things happening. He is Morgana's descendant."

"Do you know where he is?"

Miss Colin shook her head in disappointment. "Unfortunately, no...but that's why I am here. We will find him soon. I promise."

"He better be ready and we'll be prepared." She said as she rose from the chair. "I think I should get going now. The teacher is going to kill me for being late."

"Oh wait, let me write you a pass." She replied before taking a piece of paper and a pen.

"I'll see you tonight then..."She spoke as she was writing.

Elektra nodded. "Yes...I'll send you a text."

"And I'll write that down on another paper." She said. "There you go." She handed the papers to her.

Elektra gave her a short nod in thanks. "Thank you, Miss Colin."

"Oh, you can call me Angela when there are no students around. Miss Colin makes me feel old." She smiled.

Elektra smiled at the woman. She didn't really know her but she felt a huge connection towards her. That was why she felt tensed when she walked into the classroom. It was as if she knew her. Knowing she was Merlin's descendant made her more comfortable and calm. She knew that there were people who were to fight with her and support her and now, she had a witch on her side. Even though it's crazy and too soon to say, she had a feeling that she trusted her and that Angela will never betray her.

"It'll be a pleasure working with you, Angela."

********************

"Can I look at it now?" Elektra asked, as she took a bite of her sandwich.

"I told you, no. You can never look at it." Blake gave her a pointed look before returning to his sketchbook.

After Blake had picked her and her sister up from the daycare, they went to his house and had dinner. Since their project was done, Blake decided that he wanted them to just hang out in his bedroom. Out of nowhere, Blake told her that he wanted to draw her right then, which left them to where they are now.

"Why? I know it'd be good." She whined.

Blake lifted his head and frowned seeing the puppy-dog look she was giving him. "Now, don't give me that." She knew he wasn't able to handle that look.

"Come on..." She pouted, her big brown orbs staring at him innocently.

Blake groaned as he ran his hand through his hair. "Fine." He gave up.

Elektra beamed with happiness as she crawled to his side, their shoulders touching. He could feel her body warmth and her sweet scent filled his nostrils.

Good god, this woman was killing him.

"Wow..." She said in awe as she took the sketchbook from his hands.

He gazed at her as she stared at his artwork. He could see every emotion she had when she set her eyes on the drawing. It made his heart swell with pride and happiness.

His hands were longing to touch her, his lips were longing to kiss her but he knew better. She was not ready and he was not about to mess things up.

He smiled, as he decided to mess with her. He quickly grabbed the sketchbook from her hands. Elektra was too awed to stop him from doing it. He chuckled when he saw the adorable face when she turned to him.

"Hey, I wasn't done looking." She frowned, her eyes glaring at him which made his smile grew wider.

"Sorry darling, time's up." He said teasingly.

Before Blake knew it, she lunged towards him, making him fall onto his bed. He started laughing as she started tickling him and tried to stop her.

"Who's teasing now, charming?" She gave out an evil laugh as she kept on tickling him.

Surprising her, he managed to grab both of her hands and rolled her over as her back hit the mattress. His hands were clenching her wrists and her legs were in the middle of his separate ones. She heard a gasp and he lifted his eyes to get lost in those sunset eyes of hers.

He looked at her, like a man starving for his lover's love. His eyes trailed from her eyes to her lips before returning to her eyes again. His heart leaped when he saw the emotion in her eyes.

"Blake." His name rolled out perfectly from her tongue and he desired to hear it again. His eyes gazed down to her lips, those lips that he had been craving for so long, and he leaned in to taste them.

The door slammed open before he could connect his lips with hers. Blake quickly got off Elektra and turned his head to the door to find his father staring at him with his cold eyes.

"You're home." Blake acknowledged in a deep voice as he and Elektra both got off the bed.

Blake tensed. Something was odd. He never came home this early. Holding Elektra's hand tightly as he gave it a gentle squeeze, they both made their way to the man standing at the door.

"Blake..." His dad gave him a nod before his eyes observed Elektra. He saw how Elektra's gave didn't faze from his father but he knew she was uncomfortable.

Blake cleared her throat as he broke the silence between them. "Dad...this is Elektra. We go to the same school and she's my friend." He spoke.

His father's eyes narrowed at her. Elektra gave him a nod before greeting him. "Hello, sir." She smiled.

Blake's father stared at her a little longer before turning his head back to Blake, completely ignoring Elektra.

"My office. Now." He barked before he left.

Blake gritted his teeth in anger. How dare he ignore Elektra, treating her like she didn't exist.

"I think I should go." Elektra said softly, snapping him back from his thoughts. Before he could say anything, she took her bag and ran out of the room.

Blake let out a sigh of frustration as he ran his fingers through his dark raven hair. She could tell the she was hurt from his father's cold reaction and it did not make him happy either. He cursed his father for his rude attitude and decided to give him a piece of his mind.

Clenching his fists with his eyes flamed with anger, Blake marched to his father's office.

Hearing his father telling him to enter, he turned the door knob, entering the room before closing the door behind him as he glared at the man in front of him.

"Why did you do that?" He asked through his teeth.

His father raised his head from the papers and looked at him. "What?"

"Just now...why did you treat horribly? Would it kill you to be polite to her?" Blake snapped.

Mr. Conrad leaned back into his chair as he observed his son. "I don't appreciate you bringing someone like her in this house...let alone bringing a girl in your bedroom." He said stonily.

Blake felt his blood rushing in his veins, as the fury in him rose. "You don't know what you're talking about." He hissed. "She's not just any girl. She's my best friend."

Mr. Conrad gave him a skeptical look as he frowned. "Really? What I saw just now was clearly something else. I suggest you'd not play her and control your feelings."

"I wouldn't play her." Blake stated menacingly. "Am I not allowed to have feelings for her?"

His father's face turned grimed and Blake could see anger flashed in his eyes. "You are Blake Conrad. My heir. You know better than to fool around with a girl and focused on your work and find a suitable match."

Hearing his father's words, Blake felt himself snapped. No more of this. He could control his life but he could not stop him from loving her. It was too much.

Blake marched forward with eyes glaring at him as he angrily slammed his hands on the table. His father flinched and was taken aback from his angry demeanor as he looked at his son in shock.

"I had listened to you over the years and I did what you wanted me to. I worked at that stupid company of yours and trained myself to take over it." He barked. "But you do not meddle with my love life and let me choose whoever I wanted to be with! I love that girl that you glared at so lowly with no respect just now and I have no plans of letting her go. She loves me for who I am and she makes me happy, which you fail to do. You do not touch her or harm her. You'd treat her with respect and be polite to her. You do not mess with the relationship we have. Meddle with it, you find yourself another heir." He snarled before he turned to leave the room, slamming the door on his way out.

*********************

Blake could not breathe. He was suffocating in this uneasy feeling he was having, slightly added with guilt. He needed to see her. He needed to comfort her and apologize even though it was not his fault. He somehow felt the need to apologize on behalf of his father. He did not want her hurt. He did not want her to feel uncomfortable and insecure about herself. Mostly, he did not want her to stray away from him.

Panting as he was climbing the tree next to her window,he prayed that she was not yet asleep and in the room. He also hoped that she wanted to see him as much as he wanted to see her. He just needed her right now. He wanted to hold her close or maybe if he could, he wanted to continue what he was about to do before his father interrupted them.

Reaching the unstable branch with his other hand holding onto the branch above, he slowly made his way closer to her window before he tapped it gently.

His heart leaped when he saw her shocked face as she scurried to open the window, pulling him into her room.

He somehow was caught in her embrace and her in his as he stumbled into the room, but he was not complaining. Reluctantly, he released his arms around and immediately felt empty as she stepped out from his embrace.

"I swear to you Blake, you could have fallen. I know you've climbed up there so many times but it's still very dangerous." Elektra chided with a scowl on her face.

"What? No hi?" He teased, raising his eyebrows.

The side of her lips twitched up as she rolled her eyes. "Hello Blake. Now, tell me what are you doing here?"

Blake smiled before taking her hand in his as they both took a seat on her bed. "Can't I just come and see my best friend?" He asked.

"In two hours nearing midnight?" She questioned, cocking an eyebrow at him.

Blake chuckled before he wrapped an arm around her waist as he pulled her down, falling onto the bed with him.

She giggled and he pulled her closer, their shoulders touching, their knees colliding. He stared into those sunset eyes, those eyes that shone with a depth of love, alluring, sparkling with mischief. Like a black hole, sucking him into it as he completely lost himself in them. How he could stare at them all the day long. How he wished to see those eyes in the moment when he wakes up in the morning and before he goes to sleep, surfing into a world of dreams with her.

She gave him a soft smile and his fingers tingled in anticipation to touch her. Slowly, his hand came up to caress her soft cheek. Her eyes fluttered and her cheeks blushed, making her look more beautiful than ever.

"Blake." There was no one that could call his name in the way she could. It came out perfectly from her and he wished and longed to hear it in a passionate moment, in every moment they had. He just wanted to hear them coming from those alluring lips.

"Hmm?" He replied, his fingers gently trailed down her jaw, his eyes following them before they went to her rosy cheek again.

She surprised him when she took his hand from her cheek and entwined them. He lifted his eyes to hers and saw that she was staring at him.

"I...What are we Blake?" She asked, her voice out of breath.

His heart nearly stopped when he heard her question. What did she mean by that? Most importantly, why did she ask him that question?

"What do you mean? We're friends aren't we?" He questioned.

Elektra let out a small sigh before she untangled her hand from his. "Never mind...forget it." She said.

Before she could pull away from him, he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer to him, their chest colliding.

"What do you mean? Do you want to be something more that friends?" He asked, as his eyes stared into hers.

He could see how hesitant and worried she was in those eyes but he needed to hear an answer from her.

After what seemed like forever, she finally answered him. "If I could, I would." She said softly.

Blake was more confused than ever. His eyebrows furrowed together hearing her answer. It didn't make sense. What did she mean by that? Why couldn't she? However, his heart soared when he realized that she did want to be with him, yet, something was stopping her to do so.

Before she could ask her what she meant by that, she untangled herself from his arm, and sat up. "You should go. It's late." She said, not meeting him in the eyes.

Blake felt his heart clenched in pain. He thought that he had pushed her too far but when he saw those eyes and that reassuring smile on her face, he somehow knew that he did not and they would be okay.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" He asked hopefully.

Elektra chuckled and nodded. "I'll see you tomorrow, prince charming." She said before kissing him on the cheek.

His heart leaped at the contact and a grin appeared on his face. From Elektra's laughter, he could figure how stupid that grin looked. Pressing his lips on her forehead, letting it linger for a moment, he bid her goodbye before he climbed out of her window and carefully descend the tree.

Just when he was about to reach the ground, he slipped and with a yelp, he fell to the ground. He groaned and he could a hear a gasp coming from above. Slowly he opened his eyes to see Elektra looking at him with worry etched in her face and a hand covering her mouth.

"Are you okay?" She shouted in a whisper.

Blake chuckled at his own clumsiness and gave her a thumb up. "I'm fine. No need to worry." He answered as he got off the ground.

He could hear her laughing and that made a smile appear on his face. When people say falling in love hurts, he did not expect it literally. However, even if it hurts falling in love with her, he wouldn't mind hurting at all.

*****************************

There you go. Bet no one saw that coming. Anyway, please let me know about the chapter. I don't know if adding Merlin elements in her is the best thing I've ever done or the worst. Give me a review, yeah? *Blake's looking at you with those brown eyes*

So, thank you for reading, voting and commenting. It means so much to me. I love every each one of you. Thank you and I'll see you next week. Bye!
