Chapter 11

Cinderella, The Monster Slayer

Thank you and happy reading.

“Ela...please...no. No!” Blake shouted as he tried to shield himself from the ice cream in Ela’s hand. Unfortunately, he failed as she plopped the ice cream on his head.

They were at his house, working on their project when things started to get really boring. He tugged Elektra away from the books and leaded her downstairs to have ice cream. They met Kate and Owen who was having ice cream as well in the kitchen and decided to join them.

Everything was well before Blake started to tease her about how Elektra’s such a nerd that owned the strength of a man, which ticked her off.

Well, she finally got her satisfaction now.

Blake frowned as Ela and others laughed at him. “You’re so going to pay for that, Ela.” He glared at her.

Ela could only smile while she tried to hold back her laughter but completely failed. “I’ll be ready for it...with my manly strength.” She replied, her lips curling up into a teasing smile.

Even though she had just dumped an ice cream on his head, he still thinks that she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. How he loved the way her eyes twinkled with happiness, the sound of her laughter and the sweet breathtaking smile on her face.

She was so breathtakingly beautiful.

Blake turned his face to Owen, his bodyguard who was chuckling at him. “Dude, help me out here.” He said. Little Kate giggled and laughed at his brother, which made him pout his lips.

Owen’s smile widened as he shook his head. “No way, man. There’s no way I’m going to mess with her.” He held up his hands in surrender. Kate laughed even more which made all of them smile and chuckled, well, except for Blake.

He frowned as he made his way to the sink and turned the tap as he started to wash his sticky hair. Ela, who felt a little sorry, went to his side as she aided him.

The moment she sunk her fingers into his hair, Blake’s whole body went tense. He looked at her from the corner of his eyes and saw that she was acting normally. She didn’t realize the effect she had on him. He had to hold back the urge to let out a moan as she cleaned his hair with her fingers, her fingernails scratching his scalp. Images of her sinking her fingers in his hair, pulling it slightly, tangled in sheets with him on top of her, started to fill his thoughts.

Yup, his ‘friend’ down there was definitely up. He gritted his teeth, taking in deep breaths to control himself as he didn’t want to freak her out. She had no idea just by doing those small things, she had turned him on and mad with the need of her.

Only her, though. He had never received this kind of reaction from any girl before, just by doing an innocent move. She was the first.

Only her.

He turned the tap abruptly and straightened his body, which made her hands fell away from him.

“I’ll go upstairs and dry this up.” He muttered, pointing his index finger to his hair before leaving the kitchen quickly.

He left Elektra to stand there, wondering if she had hurt him and made him angry. The look on his face clearly showed that he was unhappy and annoyed about something. The thought of him being angry with her made her stomach churned.

“Owen, did I did something wrong?” She asked the blonde hair boy.

Owen who knew exactly what was going shook his head awkwardly before giving her a reassuring smile.

At least he thought he was.

“Umm...he’s not mad at you. He’s just being Blake. He’s fine.” He said, trying to cover up for his friend but he knew he did not do such a good job at it.

“Really? He looks angry though. Is he angry at me for dumping the ice cream on his head?” She turned to look at Owen.

“No, no, no. He’s...pshh...he’s not angry.” He informed, waving his hand to deny her statement. “You know what, why don’t you go upstairs and check on him?” He said, hoping she would because he couldn’t take any more questions from her as he knew he would mess it up even more if he answered them.

“Okay.” She answered with a frown before leaving the kitchen and headed to Blake’s room.

When she arrived in Blake’s room, he was not in sight. She heard the shower running and saw the clothes he wore just now on laying on the floor. Knowing she couldn’t just get in the shower and have a conversation with him, she waited for him, sitting on his bed while she looked at the CD’s he possessed.

A few minutes later, she heard him come out from the bathroom and due to her eagerness to know what went wrong at the kitchen, she turned her head to look at him.

She knew right then, her mouth was slightly open in surprise, her eyes were wide open and nonetheless, her heart was beating crazily.

There he was, standing in front of the bathroom door with nothing on but a towel wrapped around his waist. Her eyes glued to his well build torso, following the droplets of water that trailed down to his stomach and to somewhere where Elektra didn’t think she could take on seeing without burning into flames.

Oh my...He was absolutely stunning.

“Umm...sorry for coming out like this. I didn’t...I’ll just go and put something on.” He stuttered, his cheeks slightly coloured from her staring before heading to the closet.

Ela secretly smiled at his shyness. Any other guy would smirk and feel all cocky but he didn’t. He even blushed from the attention and that got her smiling even more. But dear god, he was incredibly hot. She felt heat travel up her face just thinking about it.

"So...hey." Blake stood there fully decent as he waved a hand awkwardly at her.

"I’m sorry for coming in and surprising you like that." She replied, her cheeks tinged remembering his half-nude state.

He smiled, secretly happy that she liked his body, as he rubbed the back of his neck shyly.

"It's fine."

Ela looked at him and her heat soared at how handsome and beautiful he is. He was wearing a dark brown T-shirt, one of her favourite shirt for him to wear as it brought out his eyes. She then noticed that his hair was still dripping wet. She frowned, worrying that he might catch a cold due to it.

She stood up and made her way to the towel rack before making her way to back to him.

"You're hair is still wet, prince charming." She said in a playful yet concern tone.

Blake chuckled at his nickname. She had given it to him the night he came into her room wearing a suit and a bouquet of her favourite flower in his hand. Since then, she had been calling him that.

"It's fine. It'll dry off itself." He spoke, shaking his head, sending droplets of water flying everywhere.  She laughed and tried to avoid the droplets of water coming to her way. Blake chuckled slightly as he gave her a smile.

"Come on, let me help you." She stood on her tiptoes, reaching for his hair with a towel in her hand but unfortunately failed.

She grunted, as she could not reach his hair due to his height. Blake was extremely tall, well for her that is. She was 161 centimetres tall while he was 180 centimetres. It was a disadvantage that she was so small compared to him but she like it. She admired his height and loved it, especially when he bent his body slightly, engulfing her into a hug. She felt safe, warm and loved.

"You’re too tall, Blake." she groaned as her feet drop flat to the floor.

"You're  just too small." He smirked.

She frowned before taking his hand and headed to the bed. She sat him down with a happy smile, as she was the tall one right now.

Blake looked at her with amusement dancing in his eyes. He secretly liked the fact that she was short. It made him want to lift her up or even bent down and hugged her tightly. Even though their massive difference in height, when he hugged her, their body somehow fit perfectly. It was right.

"No, you're just way too tall." She grinned before she started to dry his dark hair

Blake closed his eyes, loving the feel of her hands drying his hair, somehow managing not to get a reaction again this time. He sighed inwardly as he let her dry it. What does it take to have her and to wake up every morning with her next to him, stroking his hair as she looked into his eyes with so much love?

Those sunset eyes he loved so much. He dreamed of it every night.

He could just imagine it. Both of them together in their bed, in their own house, with his ring on her finger as he watched her sleeping peacefully.

Whoa, hold on there, he thought about how fast he was thinking. Marriage? He had never really see himself marrying someone before. This was the first time but he somehow wasn’t worried because the it just feel so right.

Everything feels right with her.

"Are you angry at me?" She asked out of a sudden, breaking his sweet daydream.

Blake lifted his head to look at her with a surprised look on his face. "No, why would you think of that?"

"You ran from the kitchen out of the sudden." She spoke in between as she dried his soft raven hair. "And you looked frustrated and annoyed. I thought what I did made you mad...I’m sorry." She said softly.

Blake cursed silently, hating the fact that he had upset her. He wasn't angry at her. Not all. He was afraid that he couldn’t control himself in front of her anymore.

He stopped her from drying his hair as he took his hand in his and rested it on his knee.

"I am not angry at you." He said ever so softly. "I went away to take a shower and I was frustrated not because of you but because of some reasons that I cannot tell you...which I hope you wouldn't ask about. Besides, I don’t think I could stay mad at you for so long." He ended with a soft smile.

"I don't want you to be upset with me."

"And I don’t want you to be upset with me too...You don't need to worry because you didn't upset me.

Ela smiled softly at him before ruffling his dark hair. "Well, I am glad that you're not upset with me." she said before pulling him up from his bed.

"Come on. We still have lots to do."

Since it was Saturday, Ela didn't have to worry about going to work. She had told her stepmother that she would be at Blake's and she let her go surprisingly. She didn’t mind staying long since Darcy’s in Henry’s care.

"Hey, you want to do the project in the garden? The weather's lovely today." Blake spoke, his breath lingering on her neck, making her shiver slightly.

"Sure." she answered breathlessly.

He grinned happily before putting away his towel and picked up their books as he took her hand and marched to the garden.

They did their work at the gazebo in the garden. The garden was so beautiful and the weather was just fine. She felt like she was in fairytale whenever she was in the garden. She could just walk for hours around the breathtaking place.

They made progress, small talks along the way, not to mention, Blake shameless flirting with horrible pickup lines which made her laugh. She enjoyed and treasured the time she was having now as it was one of the happiest moments in her life. Everything about Blake made her happy. He just never fails to make her day filled with laughter and smiles.

“I don’t see the point of this.” Blake groaned. “Maths I could do but history...it’s just too freaking hard.”

Elektra chuckled as she adjusted her glasses. “You’re a freaking genius in other subjects, Blake. I don’t think this is too hard for you to understand.”

“I do understand. I just...it’s too much to remember.” He sighed. “Unlike you who have a brain with so many memory spaces in it, I just can’t seem to remember this. Are you sure there isn’t any memory chips stored in there?” He teased, grinning teasingly.

She shot a serious look, ignoring the temptation to smile as she replied. “Make it into a story.”

He cocked his head to the side and looked at her with big brown eyes. “Hmm?”

“Make it into a story. For example, one day, there was this man who has a huge passion for law. He thought about the unfair things he sees around him and wanted to change it. He started studying law so hard, embedding himself with law knowledge. Then, he started to do small talks around his town and one day...”

“He became President of The United States. Abraham Lincoln.” Blake continued for her with a small smile on his lips.

“Yup. See, not that hard isn’t it?” She grinned.

Blake who’s eyes still boring into hers, thinking about how amazing she was, shook his head. “No.”

The sudden sound of rain dropping onto the ground took their attention as both of them turned their heads to look around them.

“It’s raining.” He pointed out.

“No shit, Sherlock.” Ela replied. Blake frowned and pouted his lips playfully at her.

“That was mean.”

“Never said I was nice.” She grinned.

He could only chuckle at her. Seeing addictive grin made him smile as well. He turned his head to look at the pouring rain, an idea suddenly popped in his head.

He stood up, gaining Elektra’s curiosity. “Where are you going?” she asked.

He didn’t answer her, which made her get annoyed. He turned to give her a small smile before leaving the gazebo and stood in the pouring rain.

Ela’s mouth flew open and her eyes grew wide as stared at him in shock. He was dancing in the rain, spinning around goofily, laughing his heart out.

“Are you out of your mind?” She yelled.

He just smiled and kept on laughing. “Nope. My brain is still working.”

Sighing with a small smile on her face, she shook her head at him. “You’re totally out of your mind. Get back in here! You’ll catch a cold.”

“I won’t. Come on out here. The rain’s awesome.” He called.

Before she knew, he went back to the gazebo and took her hands pulling her out of the rain. She tried to pull her hand away from him but her tight grip around her wrists would not let her to do so. Besides, the moment when his hands touched hers and her eyes met those glittering coffee brown eyes, she lost every attempt to pull back.

The cold rain hit her skin, her clothes getting wet the seconds. She gave him a glare but there amusement clearly shown in her eyes.

He was completely wet. His hair covered his forehead messily and raindrops trailed down his face but at that moment, Elektra could not find anyone as beautiful and handsome as he was. He looked like a happy child who had just received a gift, which he truly loved. The smile on his face, the twinkle in his eyes, yes, he was absolutely beautiful.

He grinned at her before slowly slipping his arm around her waist and the other one holding her hand tightly as they started to waltz around the garden.

“What are you doing?” She asked, laughing slightly, moving her feet awkwardly, trying to get his rhythm.

“Dancing...with a beautiful lady.” He smiled.

She rolled her eyes at his comment and his grin only got wider. He chuckled and stared into her eyes for a moment before he hummed a tune.

Elektra looked at him sceptically, confused and amused. He only smiled at her and moved his feet as they glided around the muddy ground with his hands guiding her. He started to move his feet a little faster and Ela almost fell but his arm around her waist secured her. She yelped before laughing as he chuckled along with her.

“It’s all about you...It’s all about you, baby...”Blake started singing as they moved swiftly in the rain.

Ela laughed at him as she lifted her face to look at him. “You sound horrible.” She teased.

The fact was the he sound amazingly good. His voice was deep but somehow gentle, which made her heart skipped a beat but she wouldn’t tell him that. He had a huge ego, similar to size of Jupiter.

He chuckled before continuing, they feet moving faster than before. “...Yesterday, you asked me something I thought you knew, so I told you with a smile it’s all about you...”

And there they were, dancing happily in the rain, on the muddy ground as he sang while she chuckled and laughed. It was like they were the only people in the world. All worries forgotten, problems, suffering. It was just the two of them, dancing with happiness in the atmosphere, the scent of rain in the air, nothing was wrong.

At that moment, it was perfect.

“And I would answer all your wishes if you’d asked me to...but if you deny me one of your kisses, don’t know what I’d do...” He sang and they both chuckled out of silliness and happiness.

Blake took her by surprise again when he suddenly stopped dancing. She looked at him in confusion only to find looking tenderly into her eyes with a soft smile on his lips. Their hands entwined while his arm wrapped tightly around her waist, bringing her close to him that his chest was touching hers.

Elektra sucked in a breath as she gazed into those chocolate pools that drove her to insanity. They were pulling her, making her drown into them as he looked at her with adoration and what might she say love? She didn’t know but, the emotions in his eyes sent her knees trembling.

“...So hold me close and say three words like you used to do, dancing on the kitchen tiles...yes you’ve made my life worthwhile, so I told you with a smile...” He paused, looking at her like she was the most precious thing in the world as he gave her a soft smile and pressed his wet forehead on hers.

“It’s all about you...” He ended in a whisper.

His lips almost met hers and Elektra could hear her heart pounding in her ears. Just when she thought he was going to kiss her, she felt his cold soft lips on her forehead, lingering there for a while before he rested his forehead on hers once more.

Quite stunned and somehow disappointed that he didn’t kiss her, he stared into those chocolate orbs. However, her curiosity died as she looked at him, drinking in his figures. His eyes shown with emotions she cannot decipher but she noticed that there was tenderness in them. Though, still, he looked at her as if she was the most wonderful thing in the world.

She could not think how and why this man was here with her. He was enchanting, he made her laugh, made her smile. He’s kind and gentle. He’s never selfish and always think of others. He was her rock, he made her forget horrible things in her life. He made her grey skies turns into blue.

He made her feel so special and exquisite. No one had ever made her feel that way before. He ignited the spark in her, making her feel things that she never felt before and she had never thought of feeling before. He made her feel complete.

At that very moment, she knew there was no longer denying. No more lies and deception to herself. She was finally going to accept the fact that she is in love with Blake Conrad.
