Chapter Four
The Little Merman {A twist of love}
I was taken from Eric by two of his most trusted servants and friends. I looked back at him as he gave me a shy smile then I smiled back and followed them.
The female led me to a room with a white chair that had a large hole in it that could fit a person. I was excited and then the maid Madam Miriam. She helped me into the cold stone which she called a tub and then poured water on me.
She then scrubbed my hair and back with a very soft sponge as the water bubbled. After that she took me to a wardrobe where she picked out some clothes and gave helped me put on.
I looked at the green pants, white shirt and shoes she helped me put on then I hugged her as a way of appreciation since I couldn't talk. She laughed and then rubbed my hair before she led me to a very large room where I saw Eric sparring with one of the guards.
He paused after he saw me as I smiled shyly before his guard hit his sword out of his hand and then he laughed and walked up to me. He touched his hair nervously and then stretched it towards me.
"You look beautiful." He informed me making me give a shy smile.
I forgot all about Sebastian who I had been looking for and just took his hand. He lead me to the dinner table where their were all kinds of different dishes that I've never seen before. I saw that shiny thing that I had collected when I was in the ocean and took it and brushed my hair before I looked up to see all of them looking at me.
I paused and then gave an awkward smile and dropped it back on the table quickly. Eric chuckled then picked up the fork in the correct way as I did the same thing he did and started to eat what was on the table.
I was still eating when I saw Sebastian hiding under one of the plates with a cover. He placed his pincer on his mouth for me to keep quiet but I was mute no need to remind me.
Just as he tried to reach out to me, a crazy chef threw a knife at his front making him to gasp and everyone on the table to shift back except me who watched the show in fascination. It was interesting watching how fast Sebastian's little legs could go as he dodged the obstacles the fat chef threw at him.
Finally when he got to his cap and covered his face with it, I caught him and hid him in my clothes as the crazy chef started to look for him. The old butler went and tried to calm him down about the crab as he lead him away.
I laughed and then I slowly left the dinner table as I waved at them and ran to the room that Miriam had told me belonged to me. I brought Sebastian out and then dropped him on the table.
"Your highness, humans are crazy, they tried to eat me. I suggest we go to your father and see if he can remove the curse." Sebastian tried to convince me but I didn't want to listen to him today of all days.
I took off my shoes and clothes and wore one of the comfortable gown I saw there and then laid on top of the as Sebastian kept on trying to convince me to give up.
I missed my father and my sisters and even Flower but I was happy to be here with Eric since he was the reason I became human in the first place. I looked up at the beautiful sky and then I slowly dozed off not caring about Sebastian or anything.
Uriel
I saw my mate finally today. He was beautiful and brave and he wasn't afraid of me. He seemed happy and I knew he felt that connection but he was still too naive and young to understand what it meant.
I was glad when he came to me but I was heartbroken that he came not to know me but to be a human for the sake of a human prince. I was hurt, angry and grieved but I had to do it it was my curse to grant desires of creatures who came to me.
I was also partly to blame for my mates infatuation with that human since I had caused the storm out of a simple jealousy at how my mate gazed upon the prince. I thought he would have died but I was wrong and then my mate had saved him.
I granted his desire because I had one ambition in mind. I wanted to show my mate that the humans may have a positive beautiful side but that beauty masked a great ugliness and wickedness deep inside them. What better way to show him than a royal family where strive and battle for the throne existed.
I decided to look at the mirror where I saw my beautiful mate sleeping. He slept so peacefully that I felt bad sending him to a world of the great unknown without knowledge and a proper guide.
Yes it's true his crab, Sebastian was wise in a lot of affairs but humans are more complicated than merfolks and they have more freedom than us who barely have choices.
I decided that when the time was right, I would go up to the surface once again assist my lovely mate. My lovely prince Aric.
