Chapter 20

Part 20

Night Changes (Macolet au)

As the two of them cuddled in bed, the soft rhythm of their breathing filled the space between them. Colet wrapped her arm around Maloi, her fingers gently tracing small patterns on Maloi's arm, a gesture of affection that made Maloi smile.

Maloi looked up at Colet, her voice soft but filled with sincerity. "I told my friends today about us... about me moving in with you." She paused for a moment, her heart beating a little faster as she thought about her friends' reactions. "They're happy for us, and... they also want to meet you."

Colet's heart swelled with warmth at Maloi's words. She gently tucked a strand of hair behind Maloi's ear, her expression tender. "I'm glad you told them," Colet said, her voice sincere. "And I'd love to meet your friends too."

Maloi smiled softly, her eyes bright with love as she looked up at Colet. "It feels right," she admitted. "You've become such an important part of my life... I want my friends to know how much you mean to me."

Colet's heart fluttered at Maloi's words, her chest feeling tight with affection. She kissed the top of Maloi's head gently. "I feel the same way, Maloi," she said, her voice soft. "I want you to meet my friends too. They're important to me, and so are you."

Maloi nestled closer into Colet's arms, feeling safe and loved in her embrace. "I can't wait to meet them," Maloi whispered, her eyes closing as the warmth of Colet's presence wrapped around her like a comforting blanket.

Colet kissed Maloi's forehead, her fingers gently stroking her back. "Soon," Colet murmured softly. "We'll introduce each other to our worlds, one step at a time."

With that, the two of them drifted off to sleep, their hearts full of love and the promise of new experiences ahead.

------------------------

As the morning sunlight streamed through the windows of Colet's penthouse, the two of them shared a peaceful moment before starting their day. Colet drove with one hand on the steering wheel, the other occasionally brushing against Maloi's, a simple but meaningful gesture that made their connection feel even more intimate.

Maloi, still a little sleepy but content, glanced out of the window. She couldn't help but feel a warmth spread through her chest whenever she thought of how things had changed so quickly, yet so beautifully, between her and Colet.

"Thanks for the ride, as always," Maloi said with a soft smile, glancing at Colet. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

Colet chuckled, her gaze never leaving the road. "I don't mind at all," she replied. "I get to spend a few more minutes with you before work, so it's a win for me."

Maloi smiled fondly, leaning back in her seat. "I'll be working late today, but I'll try to text you when I'm free."

"I'll be here," Colet responded, her voice steady, reassuring. "And if you need anything, just let me know."

As they approached the music studio, Colet slowed the car and pulled up to the entrance. Maloi unbuckled her seatbelt, her gaze lingering on Colet for a moment longer.

"Have a good day, Colet," Maloi said, her voice soft but filled with warmth.

Colet smiled, her eyes locking with Maloi's. "You too, Maloi. I'll see you tonight."

Maloi kissed Colet's cheek before stepping out of the car, her heart lighter than it had been in a long time. Colet watched her walk into the studio before pulling away, already thinking about their next moment together.

----------------------------------------

Colet, taking a break from her busy workday, decided to meet up with her friends. She headed to a nearby café where Mikha, Jhoanna, and Gwen were already waiting. As she arrived, Mikha looked up and grinned, while Jhoanna waved her over with a playful smile. Gwen, ever the calm one, gave Colet a knowing nod.

"Hey, look who finally showed up," Mikha teased as Colet sat down. "I was starting to think you'd forgotten about us."

"Never," Colet replied with a smile, slipping off her jacket and settling into the chair. "I just had a lot on my plate today."

Jhoanna raised an eyebrow. "How's everything going with the new... living arrangement?" she asked, glancing between Colet and Gwen, who gave her a knowing look.

Colet smiled softly, her mind briefly drifting to Maloi. "It's good. Really good, actually." She paused, glancing down at the table before looking up again at her friends. "I asked Maloi to move in with me, and she agreed. She's officially staying with me now."

The conversation momentarily shifted to surprised glances and teasing comments. Mikha chuckled, nudging Colet with her elbow. "Ooh, looks like Colet's in deep, huh? Who would've thought?"

"Let's just say she's a good influence," Colet replied, her tone light but sincere. "I'm happier. It feels... right."

Gwen smiled, her voice soft but supportive. "I'm happy for you, Colet. It's nice to see you this happy."

Jhoanna leaned back in her chair. "I think we all need to meet this woman soon," she said with a teasing grin. "I've heard so much about her already."

Colet chuckled, her thoughts drifting back to Maloi. "Soon," she replied. "We'll all meet. I think she'll love you all."

The rest of the lunch was filled with light conversation and laughter, but a part of Colet couldn't help but feel a little excited about the future—about the next steps with Maloi, and about introducing her to her close circle of friends.

----------------------------

As the conversation continued over lunch, Gwen casually mentioned Sheena's birthday, her eyes lighting up with excitement.

"So, Sheena's birthday is coming up, and I was thinking of using the estate house for the celebration," Gwen said, glancing around at her friends. "Would you guys be okay with that? It's a perfect spot for a small, private weekend getaway, and I think Sheena would love it."

Jhoanna, ever playful, raised an eyebrow. "You're really going all out for her, huh?" she teased with a grin. "A whole weekend getaway for her birthday? How romantic."

Gwen shrugged, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "What can I say? I want to make it special for her. We can all relax, have fun, and enjoy a quiet weekend with good company."

Mikha, who had been quietly listening, leaned in. "Count me in," she said with a smile. "I've been needing a break, and the estate house is always a good choice."

Colet nodded, her gaze softening as she thought about Sheena. "I think it's a great idea," Colet added, her voice filled with warmth. "Sheena deserves it. And I'd love to be there."

Gwen's eyes sparkled with appreciation. "Thanks, guys. I think it'll be a memorable weekend for Sheena. Plus, it'll be great to have all of us together."

Jhoanna gave a mock salute. "I'm looking forward to it. Should be fun," she said, already imagining the weekend ahead. "Now, you'll have to tell us all the juicy details about the plans once you finalize them."

Gwen chuckled. "You'll know everything soon enough," she said, taking a sip of her drink. "I want this to be a special day for her."

The topic shifted to other things as they finished their lunch, but Colet found herself smiling quietly to herself. Sheena's birthday celebration would be the perfect occasion to bring everyone together—and, she realized, it might be a good chance for Maloi to meet her closest friends too.

"Maybe I'll bring Maloi along," Colet thought to herself, considering how her girlfriend might feel about joining the group for the weekend getaway. The idea seemed right, and it would be a perfect way to introduce Maloi to the people who meant so much to Colet.

With that thought in mind, she casually mentioned, "I might bring Maloi with me to Sheena's birthday celebration. She's been wanting to meet all of you."

Gwen, Mikha, and Jhoanna exchanged glances, all smiles. "I think it's about time we meet Maloi," Mikha said playfully. "Can't wait to see what she's like."

Jhoanna grinned. "Yeah, we've heard so much about her. I'm excited!"

Colet felt a wave of happiness knowing that her friends were eager to meet Maloi. It felt like the right time. "I'll let her know," Colet said, looking forward to the weekend getaway and all the new memories they would make together.

-----------------------------------------------------

Colet stepped through the doors of her penthouse, the familiar, luxurious surroundings welcoming her after a long day at work. She kicked off her heels and loosened her tie before making her way to the living room, where Maloi was sitting comfortably on the couch, flipping through her phone.

"Hey, babe," Colet greeted, walking up to her, her voice soft but filled with affection.

Maloi looked up with a smile, her face lighting up when she saw Colet. "Hey, you're home! How was your day?"

"Busy," Colet replied, taking a seat next to her. "But now I'm home, and that's all that matters. So, what's going on this weekend? Any exciting plans?"

Maloi leaned back into the cushions, her eyes twinkling with excitement as she set her phone aside. "Well, Sheena's birthday is coming up. Gwen's planned a little getaway to the estate manor that we co-own. It's going to be a relaxing weekend with just a few of us." She paused, glancing at Colet with a thoughtful expression. "I was thinking... maybe you could come along. You know, finally meet my friends."

Colet's heart skipped a beat. She had been eagerly waiting for the chance to meet Maloi's circle of friends, to finally see the people who had shaped Maloi's world and to let them get to know her as well. But the idea of spending an entire weekend with them was both exciting and a little intimidating.

"That sounds like a great idea," Colet replied, her voice warm. "I've been wanting to meet your friends, after all."

Maloi smiled, her heart swelling with happiness. She had been nervous about introducing Colet to her friends, but hearing the sincerity in Colet's voice made her feel at ease. "I'm glad. They're a fun bunch. You'll get along with them."

Colet chuckled softly, her hand finding Maloi's, squeezing it gently. "I'm sure I will. I've heard a lot about them, but I'm excited to finally meet them in person."

Maloi leaned her head against Colet's shoulder, her mind already racing with thoughts of the weekend. It would be a wonderful opportunity for them to grow even closer, but also to blend their worlds—Colet's quiet, luxurious life with Maloi's vibrant, high-profile one.

"So," Colet continued, "I'll start getting ready for the weekend. Can't let you have all the fun without me, right?"

Maloi laughed, lifting her head to look at Colet. "Definitely not. It'll be fun, I promise."

Colet smiled, her eyes shining with affection. "I'm looking forward to it."

As they sat there, the comfortable silence between them was filled with the promise of new experiences, new memories to be made, and a deepening bond that would only grow stronger with time.

For Colet, there was no place she'd rather be than by Maloi's side, surrounded by the people who mattered most to her. And this weekend, she would take her place among them, embracing everything that came with it—because she knew that with Maloi, it was worth every moment.

------------------------------

Maloi's phone buzzed, and she picked it up, seeing a new message from Sheena in their group chat. She smiled as she read the message, her fingers typing quickly in response.

Sheena: Hey girls! Just wanted to remind you all about the birthday weekend getaway plans! Gwen and I will be waiting for you to arrive at the estate manor, and there's a van coming to pick up Maloi, Stacey, and Aiah. It's about 2 hours away from the city. The estate is HUGE—there's a swimming pool, a waterfall with a lake, and tons of sports and nature activities available! I can't wait for you all to get here. Get ready for a weekend of fun and relaxation!

Maloi's heart fluttered with excitement as she read through the message, feeling the anticipation of a much-needed getaway. She couldn't wait to spend time with her friends and relax in the beautiful surroundings, especially with Colet by her side now. She quickly typed a response, her thumbs dancing over the screen.

Maloi: That sounds amazing, Sheena! Can't wait! It'll be nice to spend some time with you all and enjoy the activities there. See you soon!

After sending the message, she set her phone down on the coffee table and turned to Colet, who was still sitting beside her, eyes glimmering with curiosity.

"What's going on?" Colet asked, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "What's the birthday girl up to?"

Maloi chuckled, feeling her excitement growing. "Sheena just sent a message about the weekend plans. They've got a whole bunch of activities set up at the estate. There's a swimming pool, a waterfall with a lake, and all sorts of nature and sports activities we can do."

Colet raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Sounds like a dream weekend."

"It really does," Maloi agreed, her voice soft with excitement. "And the best part is I'll finally be able to introduce you to my friends."

Colet smiled warmly. "I'm really looking forward to it. I can't wait to meet them."

As the two of them continued talking about the weekend plans, Maloi's phone buzzed again, another message from Sheena.

Sheena: Also, don't forget to think about your outfits! We're going to have some fun, so make sure to bring your best looks! I know we all love a good fashion moment.

Maloi laughed and showed Colet the message. "Looks like Sheena's already thinking about the fashion moments," she said with a grin.

Colet chuckled, nodding in agreement. "She's always on top of that. I think I'll need to pack something sporty for the nature activities... and something cute for the poolside."

Maloi grinned. "You'll look good in anything, babe." She winked, and Colet's heart skipped a beat.

"Flatterer," Colet teased, leaning in and giving Maloi a soft kiss on the cheek.

"Well, it's true," Maloi said, her voice full of affection. She reached for her phone again, excited to chat with her friends about their outfits for the weekend. She knew that it was going to be an unforgettable trip.

The girls in the group chat began to chime in with their outfit plans, exchanging suggestions and ideas about what to bring. Some were planning for chic poolside looks, while others wanted to make sure they were prepared for some sporty fun.

Stacey: I'm thinking about a cute bikini for the pool, and maybe a sporty set for some activities!

Aiah: I'm with Stacey, I want something comfy but cute! I'll probably bring a few options. Who knows what else we'll be doing there!

Maloi couldn't help but laugh at her friends' enthusiasm as they planned their outfits. It was clear that the weekend would be a perfect blend of fun, relaxation, and excitement. She also couldn't wait to spend time with Colet and see her interact with her close friends. This getaway would mark another chapter in their relationship, and Maloi was eager to share it with Colet.

Maloi turned to Colet again, her heart full of affection. "You're going to have so much fun with everyone, I just know it."

Colet smiled, resting her hand on Maloi's. "I'm looking forward to it. And I'm really glad we're doing this together."

They shared a quiet moment, knowing the weekend ahead would bring even more memories to cherish. For now, they had each other, and that was enough to make any getaway feel like a dream come true.

-----------------------------------------

Maloi smiled as she quickly typed out a message to her friends in the group chat, eager to share the news with them.

Maloi: Hey girls, just wanted to let you all know that Colet is coming with me this weekend to the estate! I'm excited for you to finally meet her! She's been really supportive of me, and I can't wait for you to see how amazing she is.

She hit send and leaned back against the couch, glancing over at Colet. Colet was looking at her phone, her eyes lighting up as she read the message.

"You just let them know?" Colet asked, a playful glint in her eyes.

Maloi nodded. "Yep. They're all looking forward to meeting you."

"I'm nervous now," Colet said, her voice soft but playful. She shifted slightly in her seat, feeling a little self-conscious.

"Don't be," Maloi reassured her, her voice warm. "They're my friends, and they're going to love you. I know they will."

Colet gave her a small smile, leaning over and brushing her fingers against Maloi's cheek. "I trust you, babe."

The phone buzzed again with replies from the group chat, and Maloi checked it.

Stacey: Ooh, this is gonna be fun! Can't wait to meet her!

Aiah: Yesss! I'm excited to meet her. I know she's a big part of your life now, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Sheena: we can't wait! It'll be so fun having all of us together!

Maloi smiled warmly at the messages, feeling a sense of comfort knowing her friends were excited. She looked back at Colet. "See? They're excited, just like me."

Colet chuckled. "I'm glad they're looking forward to it. I'm sure we'll have a great time."

With the weekend getaway plans solidified and their excitement growing, Maloi felt her heart swell with happiness. Not only was she going to be able to enjoy some quality time with her closest friends, but she would also be able to share the woman she loved with them.

Colet squeezed her hand gently, a silent promise that everything was going to be perfect. The weekend couldn't come soon enough.

-------------------

Maloi's phone buzzed again, and she checked the new message from Sheena. Her eyes widened slightly as she read the update.

Sheena: By the way, Gwen's friends are also coming this weekend. So, expect a few more people at the estate. Hope that's okay with everyone!

Maloi looked up from her phone, her eyes meeting Colet's. "Gwen's friends are coming too," she said with a raised eyebrow, slightly surprised.

Colet smiled softly, clearly not bothered. "It'll be nice to meet some of her friends too."

Maloi nodded, her excitement growing. She'd already been looking forward to the weekend with her closest circle, but now there would be even more people, and she couldn't help but feel a little more energized. She quickly typed a reply to Sheena.

Maloi: That's totally fine with me! More the merrier! Looking forward to it.

Sheena responded almost immediately.

Sheena: Great! They'll be a lot of fun. See you all soon!

Maloi smiled and set her phone down. "Looks like it's going to be a full weekend. Are you okay with that?" she asked, her voice warm.

Colet nodded, her calm demeanor reassuring. "Of course. I'm just happy to be there with you."

Maloi felt a rush of affection toward Colet and leaned over to press a gentle kiss to her lips. "Thank you for coming with me," she said quietly. "I really want you to meet them."

Colet wrapped her arm around Maloi's shoulders, holding her close. "I'm happy to be there with you, no matter who else is there."

Maloi couldn't help but smile, feeling incredibly grateful for Colet's support. As the plans for the weekend continued to unfold, she couldn't wait for the time to arrive. The estate getaway would be a weekend to remember, and it would be a chance for her friends to get to know Colet—someone who meant so much to her.
